If you were a Gym leader, what type would you choose?

I would defiantly be a Water type leader! On my Y, I was trying to make a Water type "Gym Leader" team, but never made it past Milotic and Kingdra. Other Pokémon I wanted to include were Azumarill and Vaporeon. (forgot the others lol)

 

If possible I'd like to not follow the traditional system and do a multi-type gym so that people can't just come in and type-advantage me. But that's just me. :L

 

steel-type gym leader, right here. Mine would probably be in the middle of the adventure, the fourth of fifth badge, to be like "ayy, I'm that one battle you can't win by having a single Pokémon be super effective."

I would do steel of courses. I would set it up as a final gym with huge variation in type. I would put it at the end so that people wont get frustrated with not being able to defeat such a bulky type. Instead, the challenge will be figuring out which move would be strong against which dual type combinations. It is unfortunate that there isn't that many Steel types. My wish is to have more steel variants in Pokémon. That or another Eevee evolution.

Metagross (Because Metagross is best at nearly everything)

 

My ideal type would be water. As water gyms are all around the place in terms of when they are set, I think a healthy place would be the 5th gym.

My team would be around level 30 and consist of
Marshtomp (signature)
Azumarill
Golisopod
Vaporeon


My gym badge would be the Soak Badge and my TM would be Aqua Jet

 

I'd choose Bug probably. There are a ton of cool looking bug types out there and my favorite Pokémon, Scizor, is a bug. It might be hard but I think I could do it.

 

Bug. For sure Bug. Bug gets no love.

 

I would go for grass, a very underappreciated type I've always liked. I'd have it probbaly as the 6th or 7th gym.

Same here, sort of like how Blue's gym team was like in gen II. Instead, I'd probably mix types but have a generic strategy pattern for trainers to work around (an all-defensive team, all-speed, Baton Pass/stats team, etc.).

 

I'd be a Fairy Type Gym because they're new and they have a few weaknesses but not many.

I'd place on my team:

My type would definitely be Flying! I'm a huge fan of that type and would love to represent it! In fact, I always go as Falkner in PS as he relates to me so well! If I had a dream team, this would be it!

I've always played around with the idea of a Dragon/Steel gym, because you would have a heck of a time getting the type advantage (with switching). Fairy types? Nope! And a Mimikyu for Lance Each of the Pokémon is a very special 'Mon to me for so many reasons that I won't go into because it'll take SO LONG.

If I couldn't be Blue Oak (aww sad face) I'd do a Ghost-Type gym.
