This takes place in a Pokejinka universe where Pokémon are humans, and animals are in place of where the Pokémon would be in the original Pokémon world. Humans do not exist in this land!

    Character: Histoire Vorbei, the Milotic

    ------------------

Time: Midday Place: A small town bustling with Pokémon

A gentle breeze flew through the joyful town not too far from a terrain filled with grassy plains and rivers. A man with strikingly long hair hummed a soft tune as he strolled through the town, passing by shops and stands to search for the one spot he had interest in; a library. The Milotic made his way into the quiet library and sat down by the window so he could gaze back to the town's occupants as they passed by. He sighed and placed the book in his lap in thought for a moment. Histoire had traveled through many towns, villages and cities before this one, he enjoyed travel but also thought about settling down at times yet the man could never come to a decision. It had been so long since he began his travels that he sometimes forgot the purpose of it all, to gain experience, knowledge and learn everything he could about the world. Yet Histoire could not fathom the knowledge of people, he couldn't wrap his head around the idea of conversing, or befriending- they were things he wanted to do but could never attempt.

Histoire was too shy to interact, and had little to no connections, not even within his own family. He gazed out to the crowd on the urban streets, until a unique figure within them had caught his eye. He turned slightly more towards the window, to observe the figure and see if they would approach in peaked interest.

    Character: Inferiti Avariscia; Milotic
No refs yet because I am lAZY

    ----

The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and there was not a cloud in the sky. It was a perfect day for shopping, she thought. As did apparently everyone else, as most of the town was there, and the streets were quite busy. Not that Inferiti Avariscia minded, of course. The streets were full of life, all around her people were buying, selling, or just browsing. Maneuvering through the town was no trouble for her as she had grown up in it and its lively environment. Carefully stepping around tails or ducking underneath the occasional wing, she let out a content sigh that was buried beneath the chatter. Occasionally Inferiti would enter some shops and look around, but mostly she stuck to people watching as she walked. It was always interesting to her. Seeing some of her neighbors, she waved and called greetings to them, having to raise her voice to be heard over the crowd. "Hello!" she shouted to Morganna, who lived in the apartment next to hers.

The Charizard grinned, striding closer. "Hi Inferiti! How're you today? I know how much you love huge crowds like this." She nudged the Milotic, who only laughed.

"You know very well I don't mind them much. But I see you've been busy today!" Inferiti nodded to the bags in Morganna's arms, there were even a few hanging on her tail, much to her amusement.

"Of course! Several things were on sale, you know." Glancing behind Inferiti, Morganna grinned. "Oh, there's that one shop that recently opened. Do you think I should run back to my apartment to drop these off?"

Inferiti snorted. "Definitely." Waving, she sent the Charizard off, watching her skirt around people in the direction of the apartment building. She was successfully trying not to hit people with her bags. With a shake of her head, the Milotic headed to the cafe that was across from the library, ordering a cream puff to go. As she exited, a flash of pink caught her attention and she turned towards the library window, seeing a man standing there.

Travelers were far from uncommon in the town, and she normally didn't give them a second glance. However he intrigued her, even more so when it appeared he was looking right at her. Suddenly feeling shy, she waved, heading across the street towards the library. Opening the door, the change in volume was immediate. It wasn't unpleasant though. "Good afternoon," she said to the man quietly with a small smile.

Histoire found himself to be lost in thought as he gazed at the unfamiliar figure across from him. She had entered the coffee shop, perhaps she liked sweets? Since she had gotten a snack to-go and, surprisingly seemed like she was heading in his direction. The male Milotic wondered if she was familiar with the area, even if she was, Histoire wasn't exactly sure how he would ask the other of the same species. He moved the book from his lap and placed it beside him, while making room on the other side of his seat in case the girl wanted to sit somewhere. He could feel heat rising to his face and he twirled a strand of his obscurely long hair out of habit.

The Milotic couldn't figure out why he always felt so shy and flustered when talking, it never seemed to fail no matter who he was talking to- especially if it was a Pokémon of the opposite gender. When the girl entered, Histoire quickly picked up his book again and fumbled with it, pretending to be reading but doing a rather bad job at acting. His eyes trailed to the girl when she greeted him, her voice was cheerful and had an optimistic air- no doubt was she a local to the town. "A-afternoon." He said in a tone not too far above a mumble. He turned his head back down to his lap, embarrassed, and feeling as though he would keep the girl from whatever books she needed if he started a conversation he couldn't withhold.

Of course the female Milotic could tell he was a traveler, there was a certain air that locals gave that could differentiate from familiar and unfamiliar. He fumbled with his hair more, and proceeded to take off his gloves and falsely focusing on his novel- anything to make himself appear busier than he actually was even if his blush was more than obvious. He glanced at the girl every now and again, observing her most likely daily notions.

wth this guy is a nerd i am leAVING

Stifling a small giggle, Inferiti started looking around the library after finishing her cream puff and disposing of her trash. Wandering through the book shelves, she stopped several times, pulling a book out and either reading a blurb or flipping through it. Some of them she had read before, and she remembered them fondly. Others she hadn't read but they had interested her, and it wasn't long before she had a nice stack of books in her arms. With a quick exchange with the librarian, a Gardevoir named Annalise, she had signed out the books that would be due in a fortnight. There was no doubt that she could get them read by that time as when she wasn't working she had a fair amount of spare time. She was an avid reader, and had visited the library many times. But it was the first time she had seen the man.

So she checked out her books and promptly plopped down in the seat across from him. The other Milotic did seem to be a traveler - in that town, it was easy to tell who was a local and who wasn't. Not to mention everyone knew everyone. "What'cha reading?" she asked the other, grinning at seeing how flustered he was. "Oh, and I'm Inferiti Avariscia," she added as more of an afterthought than anything. She took the time to study him a little. Simply put, his hair was incredibly long (how he traveled with it at that length, she wondered). She also noticed his clothing. It was fancier than what people normally wore, and she may have stared at them longer than considered appropriate. With a cough she quickly looked away, a light pink dusting her cheeks.

"So, what brings you here?" Inferiti had pulled one of her own books in front of her, but while she was looking at the open page she was not reading. Instead, she was listening, occasionally glancing out the window at the Pokémon who passed by. Though she mostly stuck to looking at her book, listening to the muffled crowd outside and patiently waiting for the other's answer.

LOL HE IS THE BIGGEST NERD))

Histoire observed the girl traverse her known territory thoroughly, they were polar opposites in the sense that she knew every corner of the library whilst he did not. Her optimistic nature reminded him of a few others he had met in past towns during his travels yet, somehow the female had a different air about her than other Pokémon did. He fumbled with a few long strands again in embarrassment of his inadequate knowledge of the surroundings. Even though, this was a similar feeling each time he reached a new destination, this was more troubling- yet he would be on his way once again soon. Histoire liked to stay two days or so in each urban civilization he reached and then be on his merry way when he had had his fill of adventure and experience. The Milotic kept his hair as a memento of how much time he had spent traveling, and every now and again he wondered if when his journeys were to every be over should he cut it.

But the man knew he was only perpetuating on these thoughts to distract him from his shyness at hand. His thoughts stopped flooding his mind when the female had sat and begun a conversation. The modest man knew he would have to speak eventually, so he decided to take action. "I'm reading Letzten Eterüna, it's a small novel about a girl gathering the pain in others' broken hearts and turning them into candy. It sounds childish but it's actually rather meaningful and inspiring." When it came to books, Histoire poured out information like an encyclopedia, it was the only way he could converse easily. "My name is... Histoire. Histoire Vorbei." He had paused, recollecting himself and took notice of Inferiti's interest in his hair.

The female Milotic had every right to be, his physical features and clothes certainly made him stick out like a sore thumb in many places. Histoire adjusted his shawl and made eye-contact now again with Inferiti, giving the most honest answer he could; "I'm just a simple traveler, I never feel settled in one place for too long, so I move place to place like a tumbleweed." He gave out a small, nervous chuckle, "I like libraries a lot and not many other towns I had been to before hand seemed to harbor one, so I wanted to spend time here for a few days before being on my way again."

Histoire did his best to keep the conversation small, after all, if he got himself attached to someone he wouldn't be able to keep traveling, though traveling alone did get lonesome...

"I'm not a very important person to take note of, really." He spoke modestly, trying his best not to dwell on past history; but this girl looked sharp, she could probably see right through him. He smiled faintly as he watched her observe her familiar surroundings.

"Oooh, it sounds very interesting!" Inferiti glanced up at the book he was holding. The pink was still faintly visible on her face. She beamed at him when he introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you Histoire!" Closing her book and gently pushing it next to her pile, she turned to him, listening as he explained. He didn't really seem to speak much, she expected that he was just shy. A little odd for someone who traveled a bunch, but she didn't question it. She was curious as to how many places he had been, and she was sure he had many tales he could tell. But she didn't pry, not wanting to overwhelm him or fluster him any more than she had appeared to. At least, not with stories of his travels. If he was only going to stay in the town for a few days then move to another place "like a tumbleweed" then she was at least going to help him see other things her town had to offer!

"Libraries are great and all, but you should see more things while you're here! I can even show you around," she said, already making a mental note of key places to hit. Though at his last words she looked at him, tilting her head. "What makes you think that? Everyone is interesting in their own way." Inferiti gave him a small grin, having a feeling there was more to that than he wanted to let on, but even if that was the case, she did not ask. Perhaps, she mused to herself, it was the sheer amount of traveling. Having lived in the town her whole life, she could barely imagine what it would be like to move from place to place, just wandering.

The thought occurred to her that perhaps he didn't want to be bothered. Maybe she had mistaken his shyness for just wanting to be left alone and he was simply too polite to mention it.

AFTER 5,000 YEARS I FINALLY REPLY GOMEN.))

Histoire could feel his strangeness growing with every passing gesture, he knew he certainly didn't fit in at all. Especially not with such an extraordinary girl such as Inferiti, being so full of life and vigor. The male Milotic worried he had come off as stand-offish, because of his shyness and began to panic in his mind. "I don't want to scare the first kind Pokémon to me away!" He thought in anxiety. Though his stress seethe out of him with the girl's question of exploration. He brushed a strand of his hair back and smiled, it would be nice to see all he could before leaving the town. In fact, it might have been such a wonderful place that he might have wanted to stay, the Milotic feared the thought of getting to well bonded with things... it seemed he'd just wander around forever.

"I would love to see the rest of this place! If that's alright..." His voice raised to a normal tone, trying to appear more friendly to the kind native. Histoire almost raised himself from his seat but remembered his trailing curtain of hair lingering behind him. Surely it would be troublesome to take care of while they moved, Histoire didn't mind his appearance much but being a male-rapunzel was rather much. "Give me one moment." Histoire said, a blush creeping back onto his face, but he found the end of his hair and began to braid it. Once his work was done, he tied a ribbon to the end to finish the job, while it still just lingered above the floor at least his tresses were no longer dragging.

"I thought it would make things faster." He smiled faintly, sooner or later he would have to explain his reasons for keeping his hair so long. "So, where shall we go from here first?" Histoire asked excitedly, thinking of the coffee shop he had observed the girl in. Though Inferiti might be familiar with even more interesting sights than what he had observed.

((suddenly she has a bag hahahahahahahahahahahaha))

The female Milotic watched as Histoire braided his hair, her head slightly tilted to the side. "You should teach me how to braid it like that sometime!" she giggled. She never usually did anything with her hair, preferring to keep it down. She vaguely wondered why he kept his hair so long, wouldn't it just get in the way during his travels? Maybe she could ask him later, but when he finished tying his hair up she grabbed his hand and nearly dragged him out the door, her books tucked into her bag that she threw over her shoulder. "Come on!" The cobblestone streets were still bustling, a joyous, carefree energy in the air as she ducked and weaved, occasionally glancing behind her to make sure that Histoire wasn't being hit in the face by anything. Navigating through the streets could sometimes be difficult alone, but with another person it was slightly more tricky. "Careful!" she threw over her shoulder at him.

The crowds thinned out at the edge of the town, and Inferiti let go of Histoire's hand. "We're almost here to the first stop," she said cheerfully. There was a cool breeze blowing, sending the grass rippling making the plains look like a sea of green. She led the other Milotic over several of the grassy hills until they arrived at a ring of trees, the branches softly waving in the wind. "Just through here!" On the other side of the treeline was a meadow spotted with wildflowers, and a small creek running through it. "Well here it is! Nothing too special, but a lot of people hang around here a lot on nice days. You've probably seen a lot of fancier places, but this has beauty in its simplicity in my opinion." Inferiti shot Histoire a small smile as she walked out in to the meadow, the grasses tickling her calves as she did so.

"It's a great place to relax, and a lot of people take their kids out here too. It's a good place to cool off in the summer and in the winter a lot of kids like to build snowpokes and have snowball fights. Sometimes festivals are held out here too..." With a light blush she realized she had been rambling. "Sorry! This is just one of my favorite places in the village, and I hope that during your stay here you'll come to love it too." She looked around the meadow. Though it was a place she had visited many times before, it never failed to remind her how truly beautiful nature was.

GOLDEN LIGHT SHINES FROM ABOVE AS I RECEIVE A REPLY. nahh its not short qt))

Histoire chuckled to himself at the female's enthusiasm, "I think it'll be easier for you, after all this amount is a little tedious to work with." But without another word he allowed himself to be pulled along by his companion. He found going through the crowd a bit troublesome, but following Inferiti made it worth it somehow. While the other rushed ahead, Histoire found himself moving slower to watch the passing scenery. Somehow, no matter how much the young man traveled nature itself never stopped surprising him and this town was lovelier than many. The milotic gazed into the creek for a mere second, contemplating his travels before moving forward once again. When Inferiti led him to their destination, his eyes widened in awe.

"You're not rambling at all...It's...It's all the information I would need and more." The milotic stated in a rather dreamy tone. His focus was on the meadow and how perfect the entire scene was. "It almost makes me want to get back into painting." He chuckled, "I think I will enjoy this spot very much..." He gawked a bit more before placing his hand on the tree they stood by and gently lowered himself down. "I'll just sit for a moment. I don't want to burn up too much of your time." He smiled. Histoire took a breath and closed his eyes, spreading a smile. The breeze was calming and brought back fond memories of his homeland. "So, what's it like for you here? Did you grow up in this place? Or where you a wandering spirit like me?" He inquired, still keeping his look of peace.

Inferiti grinned, sitting right down beside the other Milotic. "You're not burning my time!" she assured him. "Well... It's really nice here! Everyone is friendly, and it's a nice place to live. It can be a little slow at times, but there are still a lot of things to do!" He rattled off question after question, which she was happy to answer. "I grew up here! My parents have since moved away, they settled in a large city a long way from here. We write letters to each other and sometimes they come back here and-" she blushed, knowing she was getting too off topic. "A-anyway, I like traveling, but I don't think I could move anywhere else." Not that she hadn't thought about it before, but the town she lived in was so nice and she loved living in it. She leaned back against the trunk of the tree, letting out a deep breath. A few kids were running around the meadow and cooling off in the creek, their hair decorated with wildflowers.

Inferiti turned to her companion. "What about you though? How long have you been traveling? What kinds of places have you been to?" She was curious to hear about his travels. No doubt he had been to many different places and experienced things she could only dream of. She hugged her knees to her chest, the breeze ruffling her hair, and a few leaves from the tree swirling around the two Pokémon. Occasionally sounds from the town drifted through the air, the chatter from the outdoors market creating a muted white noise as they sat in the meadow, enjoying the day.

"I don't think I could move anywhere else.", Inferiti had stated. Histoire felt a smile tug at his cheeks, even if he couldn't understand the feeling of staying in one place, it must be nice...a warm feeling to keep the bonds you've created. Histoire always seemed to keep himself from getting too close to others. If he created bonds, he would regret his journey, he would miss too many and be unable to continue. Even if Histoire enjoyed talking to this girl, in a week or so he would be gone before she knew it, on his way like a dandelion in the breeze. Maybe she would forget him eventually as well, see him as a simple traveler and nothing more. Even with her questions of interest would she think that eventually? Histoire couldn't tell, and he possibly never will.

"Well you're the first to inquire so much about my travels, I'm intrigued with you myself." Histoire continued, thinking of ways he could clearly answer the girl's questions. "I'm not afraid to share too many stories if they do not bore you, after all, the people I meet carry my memories with me." The male milotic glanced towards her as he played with his tremendously long hair. "I've been traveling since I was old enough to take care of myself, around when I was 14. You probably wonder where my parents were, yes? To have their child gone at such a tender age." He looked back up to the clouds, sifting through his own memories, opening up because he had nothing to lose. "My home was a library in a tiny town, I really loved to read adventure stories, it's what I spent all day doing. I wish the one day I decided to have my own adventure I didn't." Histoire looked down at the grass instead this time, as if recalling something bitter. "I went outside to play in a field just like this quite a distance from my home. I was never a rebellious child, but I wanted a taste of adventure for once, I didn't mean to disobey such kind parents and be out longer than i should have..." The milotic paused again, recalling the memory. "When I returned home at sunset my house was nothing but ash. I don't know who did it. I don't know where my parents were or if they burned too. But all the books, my room...everything."

Histoire avoided Inferiti's gaze, fearing she would have pity in her eyes. "As a child I was very confused and scared, I searched but I found no evidence of my parents or what truly happened. So I gathered what I could from the rubble and began traveling on my own. It was scary at first but I went to countless places, and met people both good and bad. It was like I was writing my own adventure." His face brightened as he went on. "And now here I am, making another adventure by meeting you, Inferiti." Histoire stood up and twirled, giving his hand to her. "Shall we head down to that pretty looking meadow and creek to clear the stuffy air I created?" He laughed.
