Just wanted to give everyone a definitive update! We thought our baby was coming at the beginning of the month but Aleshia's contractions completely stopped so we were released from the hospital. She has stayed dilated to 5 since the beginning of the month. She was planned to be induced yesterday morning but when we arrived she was dilated to 7! She had some back pain but nothing that she said was unbearable so they gave her an epidural and allowed her to progress on her own. Later they broke her water and she went from 7-9 in 10 minutes! She finished dilating in another 20 minutes and began pushing. Addilyn Mae Sullivan was born at 4:41 yesterday afternoon (9/25/18), weighed 8lbs 3oz, and was 20 inches long. I can't even begin to describe the feeling of holding your baby for the first time but I bawled my eyes out and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Thank you all so much for your kind words! We loved her the whole time she was growing even though we didn't know if she was a she or a he but being able to feel and hear her is a completely different feeling. We were able to bring her home late on the 26th and spent all day yesterday getting her settled into our home. So far she is doing well other than being a little stubborn and not wanting to eat like she should. We have a Dr appointment today so we will see what he has to say about it.
