Have you ever felt the panic when your electronic's battery is low? I certainly have and let me tell you, it's not fun.

Anyhow, how low do your (devices) batteries go before you decide to charge them?
Do you have a set schedule for when you charge your device? Is it when it's at how many much percent or maybe you just wait until your device dies? Perhaps you charge it overnight when you sleep?

When do you charge your device?

I mostly just charge my devices whenever it's night time, but I'd always make sure I keep at least one device not dead. I like LV and other internet webs to go to!! ;w; When it comes to charging over night, that's what I actually mostly do since I use it (or them) everyday because I'm weird like that. ewe'

unless I'm at class, my laptop is forever plugged in. I just never move the charger and am fine and happy with a fully charged computer. As for my phone, I need it for an alarm, so it goes unplugged at night and then I'll charge it after class or whenever I'm at my desk. It just works, so I never really need to change it even if it sounds like it wouldn't work.

I always leave my phone to charge overnight, so that I can use it without having to worry about it during the day.
Since I almost never call anybody ever, I leave my phone on Airplane Mode, which extends the battery life a great amount (while disabling the ability to call). A while back, I found out that my phone can still connect to the WiFi while being in airplane mode, which is something that surprised me. But WiFi + Airplane Mode instead of WiFi + Regular Mode makes my battery last muuuuch longer, causing me to only charge it once or twice a day.

Other than leaving it overnight, I don't really have a schedule. Most of the time I'll leave my phone to charge while I'm doing stuff on the computer.
I'll usually let it get to about 15%-30% before putting it to charge. But I've also had moments where I've let it go to 1%, 7%, 59%, 45%, and etc. It really depends on if I plan on using it later or if I need it now/soon, and if I'm not too lazy to go put it to charge.

For some weird reason my Laptop automatically decides to hibernate at 11%, so if my laptop is not charging, I always make sure to plug it in once it hits 14% or so. Luckily there is a pop up warning my laptop gives at 14%, so I don't need to continually check the battery life. Other than that, most of the time its always plugged in and charging.

As for my phone and other devices, I just let them charge whenever I'm sleeping. Though for airborn traveling I'd use those little power stations by the waiting area before you go onto the flight to charge my electronics. During a long road trip I like conserve my devices' energy so I usually set up a schedule of when and how long I would allow myself to use what during the drive. Most of the time I just end up keeping my phone locked, but have music playing so I can listen, but also use minimal battery life. Though if the trip is ridiculously long, I bring a power charging station thing that runs on these huge batteries and it charges things from inside the car. Usually my other siblings hog it, but it comes in handy because I can just use up all my battery life while everyone else is using it and charge my electronics while they are asleep.

The title boggled me as to why certain people would let their smartphones' battery lives go until the very last moment before powering up again. Seriously, how can they do that in good conscience?

Going back to the subject at hand, I have three categories of electronic devices that require charging: my laptop, my cell phone, and my DSs.

In regards to the first, it is basically always plugged in, and thus essentially at 100% power constantly. I believe it auto-sleeps when it gets to 10% life, though this issue usually does not occur by necessity. Off the charger it has a battery life of 4 hours, which is more than enough time to do what I must before returning it to its station.

In regards to the second, I do not charge my cell phone often because it is either off most of the time, or not in use. Only once has the battery ever gone out on it, and that's only because I wasn't paying attention to how long it was asleep. Otherwise, I charge it at night whenever I see the battery icon go down to 3 / 5 bars. I don't know how long the battery life is for my cell phone, but it's a small device so it probably has an extremely long battery life - especially given how I've let it sleep overnight and it barely loses any power. If I had to guess I'd say the battery life on average is at least 8 hours, probably much more.

In regards to the third, I charge them always at night, but there's a catch. I only have 1 3DS charger between my 2 3DSs (I think I know where the second charger is, but I use them infrequently enough that it's not a hassle), so that night I will charge whatever needs it the most. In addition, if I'm playing it and the red (or flashing red) light comes on during the day, I will save my game ASAP and place it on the charger, to resume it when it's finished charging - or, if I'm particularly impatient because I got the game recently and want to get through it, after a half-hour or so, then I can storm through it more. My normal DS Lite doesn't have this problem, as while the number of chargers I have for it is the same, it doesn't need to fight any other system for it.

I'm not a user of phones, and I sometimes use my laptop (which I always remember to charge).

For my Ds's, I always ensure that they are charged, and for some reason, my Wii U is always on charge.

Since my laptop has a worn-out battery, it dies after a matter of minutes. Because of this, I always have to have it plugged in, which is a shame since I can't take it to the library anymore.

I don't really have any other mobile devices, besides my 2DS, which I charge when the battery meter is two bars or lower. I have my 2DS on the lowest brightness setting because bright screens hurt my eyes, so the battery lasts a long time.

I have my laptop on the charger 24/7
For my phone, I let it get to 5% most of the time before I charge it and then I charge overnight.

This might be stupid but... Isn't charging your phone once a day kinda normal? XD
I always do it overnight too, but I've never really had to charge my phone twice in one day. Are there really people out there who have to charge their phones multiple times a day and find that normal? That's pretty insane, in my opinion O.o

I always charge my phone's battery when it's about 15% (that's when my phone gives me the first "battery low"-warning). I know the manual said it was best for the battery to let it run out completely before charging it, but honestly, who does that? In any case, I don't. I'm not allowed to have my own laptop, so at least I don't have battery issues with that one. I just charge my 3DS whenever it's necessary, whether that's overnight or while I'm still gaming (when I'm playing and the light starts to flash red, I plug in the charger but continue playing anyway).

I thought so too, until I started observing the people around me. My sister would be a good example of this.
Whenever she's on her phone, it's never for something practical. It's always YouTube, Netflix, and WhatsApp for her (unlike me). YouTube and Netflix are huge battery drainers, because they require a lot of resources and power at once, so to continually use them throughout the day kills her battery.
She'll usually charge it twice a day (while still using it sometimes), but I've seen her leaving her phone to charge 3 or 4 times a day before, if I remember correctly. :P
