How many of you suffer with insomnia? Any tips for falling asleep? I get it on and off, myself, there's some nights when i just can't sleep, so I just lay in bed and it messes up my sleep schedule :c
I've had it for years and still it bothers me. I have to take a pill for reasons and to also help me sleep. God it's the most annoying thing ever, sleep deprivation wise.
I did and then didn't but it is back. I just watch videos until I get sleepy enough, well eyes get heavy.
I advise closing your eyes and listening to the noise around you. It works for me. Another thing I do is grinding on Pokémon Sun until the power gets low, then I fall asleep. Or listening to music? #MissingNo
Not to any serious extent. It takes me between 5-30 minutes to fall asleep depending on how tired I am, and thanks to having to wake early I don't stay up long at night. A few times it's taken me an hour-ish to fall asleep but those were just particularly anxious days for me. Can't imagine having to roll around in bed for hours before I can sleep. :<
I've had a bad case of insomia since 5th grade. My solution? Melatonin, lots of melatonin. I have to supplement it because my body doesn't make enough of it naturally. I'd say talk to your primary care doctor, because they may have some other tips. For example don't eat too close to bed, no caffiene 4-6 hours before bed and 8-10 hours if you work overnights. Your body processes food and energy more slowly at night and converts it almost straight to fat which is why most doctors tell you not to eat at night. These are just some bassic tips.
I've struggled with it for years, though the intensity sort of varies. One of the best things I can suggest is to try not to have any screen time at least an hour or two before bed (though I completely fail at this most of the time...) Sometimes acupressure can help to feel relaxed. I watch Youtube videos often for that. If I'm desperate I'll usually take Melatonin paired with Benadryl to knock myself out. I always try to avoid drugs if I can help it though.
I'd wager that most people posting that they have insomnia don't, there's a far cry from having insomnia even acute insomnia to simply having trouble sleeping from time to time. Take the extra time you're not sleeping to do something problem solved. I simply don't sleep every night no skin off my hide if I don't, if I really need sleep I figure I'll pass out before falling into a coma or dying so I'm good.
I suffered and suffer it sometimes. But sometimes listening your favourite song (repeating it if it is necessary) takes out the stress and unecessary thoughts and stimulates happines what helps you to relax and get asleep faster
I Have Insomnia Due To A Fear Of Mine.I Still Finding A Way. But Try To Relax And Be Positive(While Sleeping,Be Relax While Thinking About Positive Thing)
Listen to ASMR! It's very tingly and relaxing. You might find it weird at first but once you get used to it, you'll keep listening to it forever. Some nights I do experience insomnia and aside from ASMR, I listen to music too.
On occasion I'll get bad insomnia where for a couple of weeks straight I'll just become really restless and pace around my room until about 5 in the morning. It's exhausting. I don't even do it on purpose, I'll just be laying in bed trying to sleep and then I get up and start pacing without even realizing I'm doing it. A lot of the time if I'm having trouble sleeping, I'll look for a song I like and play the same one over and over on repeat. It usually works.
One of my friend has insomnia. She can't sleep for many nights and it bothers me that her health will spoil. Anyways, I guess listening to soft music like any lullaby could help. ^-^
I always drink milk an hour or so before bed. It's the tryptophan yo, helps you get tired XD. Other than that, have some white noise in the background. If it's dead quiet you're gonna have nothing but your thoughts to listen to, and believe me, the mere act of trying to make your mind blank is gonna keep you awake longer.
