Now for some of you who don't have a 3DS, what do you think? Is it worth buying a console mainly for the purpose of playing X & Y? If you have a 3DS, and you got it to play this game or maybe even something else, was it worth it? Do you have any regrets?

I have none. I mainly got mine to play the new Mystery Dungeon game, and I have no regrets. The game will be amazing when it finally comes out, so it'll be worth it to me.

It's worth it for me. The 3DS is where all of the new main series Pokémon games will be now, have to get with the moving times. On top of that it will allow me to transfer Pokémon from my DS games, and of course I can still play those on 3DS whenever I want. I'll be getting one when I am able to.

I got mine in preparation for x&y and I ended up getting the zelda edition so really I can't regret it, it's too pretty! AND we have a new zelda coming out for it this holiday season so it really adds to why I got it. Although if I bought a normal 3DS and x&y turned out to be shit, well then I can see why someone would regret it. If it's bought solely for a game we know next to nothing about then I can see how it could end up being a mistake but it's too soon to tell Imo.

I actually got my 3DS for a possibility of getting a new Pokémon game and the Megaman game that was supposed to come out. Though, Megaman got canceled (Not surprised). But there's always Pokémon! I had high hopes that Pokémon would end up migrating over to the 3ds within time. There's a lot of cool games out there. Like Harmoknights and Super Mario. Plus Zelda seems to be dishing out some cool games. And for awesome Pokémon references, Pokédex 3d Pro is amazing for that :'D So. I don't regret getting the 3DS.

I'm cheap, I admit it but, this really made me think again... I'm actually planning to buy a 3DS when X and Y comes out... plus if I do, I'll be able to play the console Pokémon exclusive games... I think it's worth the buy.

I think its worth it, the game looks very promising. I originally bought my 3DS because I knew a mainstream Pokémon game would come out for it eventually.

Yes, I believe so. The 3DS is actually a pretty decent system on it's on, but add in Pokémon and it because an absolute must in my opinion at least.

It was absolutely worth it. I didn't like the idea of the 3D, (still kinda meh, on it) but I absolutely love my 3DS. Granted, I only got it for Pokémon...as I did, with my DSi, Gameboy Advance, and Gameboy Color...so that's nothing new, for me. I think Colors! 3D and having Netflix on it is really convenient....'cause I get in an art mood sometimes, and have no tablet/computer access.

A little expensive, for a mobile tablet and something just for Pokémon? Perhaps...but for me, it was more than worth it.

To quote M. Bison from Street FIghter the Movie: "OF COURSE!"

THey have a stellar library of games now, from Ocarina of Time 3D to Super mario 3D land, and it will only get better since Pokémon X/Y is coming out. : )

    I'm going with yes.

    - These games look super promising, and already have me so excited!
    - The 3DS is pretty awesome. If not for X and Y just get one for the sheer awesomeness of the system alone. There's so much to do with the thing even if you don't have any games!

Yes, because like Shadow said, there's so many things to do only with the system, and the fact that you won't have anything new to play, because all handheld Nintendo games now = 3DS. Oh, and because of SSB. That game rocks. ouo

I got my 3DS in preparation for X & Y in March. What pushed me over the edge to get it right then, however, was the fact that the Pikachu Edition XL and Mystery Dungeon were all coming out around the same time and I had enough money for once in my life. It was the perfect time to get it imo.

Regrets? No way! The game library is finally rich with some pretty awesome games like all the Zeldas and KH3D that came out last summer. It's only getting better, too, with gen 6 on its way.

I have a 3DS that i got for a few games and it hasn't let down, especially for mystery dungeon. But if you don't have one yet it is completely up to you if you want to get one but i think it would be worth it simply because this game is going to be jam-packed with new awesome features.

It'll be worth it to me. There are a couple games on 3DS I want to play that were released before X and Y were announced. It would be nice to upgrade to the 3DS and retire my DS and best of all, backwards compatibility with DS is a huge plus for me.

I believe it is worth it. Mainly because there will be multiple more games that the 3DS has to offer, and the Mainstream Pokémon Games will probably continue on 3DS specifically. Plus, who could pass up Smash Bros.

I've had my DS Lite for a while now (like, it's cracking in places where I put too much force playing TWEWY). I got a 3DS to replace that and to mainly play Professor Layton x Phoenix Wright (when will the localization come out?! T^T) and Rune Factory 4. AND X!! UGH I HAVE TO GET THAT AWESOME DEER!!

It's worth it to me. I got a 3DS as an early birthday present when it first came out, and since there wasn't that many games for it out, I started to play DS games on it. Out of my three DS's I own, I use my 3DS the most.
