When news breaks that a new Pokémon game has been released, does your nearest game store sell out of them fast? Do you see a lot of people play Pokémon in your area? =o
I haven't seen anyone playing Pokémon in my area in over 15 years now, although I think sales of the games are alright...they're always in stock, but Pokémon titles usually are. I know there used to be a Pokémon club every Wednesday night at my local GAME store, but I never went to it, it ended sometime last year I think, and I've never seen anyone playing or even buying the games. So either the Pokémon movement here is undergroud, or dispersed.
Not as much as it was in the early 2000's, but there still some audience for it here. Just don't expect to be finding many groups to play with xD
I'm guessing it was when it came out. It resurfaced when Pokémon Go came out but now, no one cares again.
Rome is basically open debating about Pokémon. They who argue against use these reasons: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokémon_controversy#Christianity Also, you are banned from promoting Pokémon creatonism because there are many God-like Pokémon compared to only 1 God in real life (apart from Arceus, except you can't mention that in its movie it tried to destroy all humans; God is omnibenevolent).
I live in a small town, so not a lot of the games sell out, but they do sell a lot. I know a lot of friends that play it and most of them buy it on the day of release, myself included.
Yeah, Pokémon is pretty popular around my place. It's more of the younger kids than the teenagers/adults. See a lot of them at my cousin's school wearing T-shirts and carrying themed backpacks. Most of them are what I consider as trend fans...I seriously doubt that more than half of them didn't give it a second glance until Pokémon Go went viral. Then again...some of them weren't even born at the time the franchise started.
Pokémon is fairly popular over here. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I think most people are pretty open about it; you see some wearing Pokémon t-shirts and all sorts of other merch. I've even seen people around my college play SM when it released, so there's that. =o Sometimes I think I live in a city full of nerds because of this.
Pokémon anime, yes, its popular. Pokémon games,no. Our stores here dont even see Pokémon games and people here dont really know that these games exists. Where I live, people aren't insterested in Pokémon games sadly ;_;
Um I'm not involved in the community but I no I veteran competitive player and they taught me about how to create my team
Hm I dunno.... I mean, I'm in NYC, so I assume there will always be popularity among certain people here since so many live in the area. But people my age tend to be less vocal about it, unlike kids that chat with their friends about whatever they're into, so I wouldn't really know. I still do see working adults opening up PokéGO though and the main series games still get long wait lines for midnight release at Nintendo World. So yas, can say it's popular /o/
I see people on campus playing Pokémon Go from time to time, but I don't that its a huge thing where I live.
Man, so it's really just my area, then. :c Idk what's so different over here that people are so open about it.
Pokémon ain't really popular here, the only time I see other pokéfans are when there's a new game release then they disappear back into the unknown.
People where I live KNOW Pokémon exists, we've got a few Poke-stops and GO ads here and there..but not a lot of kids/teens/adults actively talk about it. It's kinda..taboo..to speak of anime, manga, or video games if it doesnt involve sports, hunting, or war where I am. I seriously had a guy tell me that they cared more for video game graphics than the story, gameplay, or overall experience of it..and half of my graduating highschool class never played any Mario games beyond 'keeping younger relatives quiet with Kart/Party'.
Kinda. There were quite a few kids into it when I was in high school, and I will occasionally see people around town with some sort of Pokémon merchandise (usually t-shirts, wallets, etc).
