I honestly think hes underpowered. I beat him with Pokémon in the mid-60's. He is supposed to be the strongest, having trained on that mountain for acouple years. he should be in the 90's by now atleast. As a kid it was harder, but I duno if he was or I was just too young to make a good team

Eh I don't think he was over-powered. I thought he was pretty easy in the original Silver/gold. (I haven't gotten to him in HG/SS due to restarting the games) I actually thought he was a bit too easy.

I wouldn't say he was overpowered Team wise because his team wasn't the strongest in the world but his Pokémon Levels were definitely a bit challenging.

I faced him in HG and still won plus the Snorlax was his toughest which means he is very tough but yeah Great for training Pokémon.

I don't think so personally. The first time I fought him I didn't know the specifics of Pokémon so he was pretty tough then but if you choose an adequate team he will be fine to deal with. Great for training Pokémon but I don't like the whole mountain climb over and over again, lol.

I personally thought he was pretty easy. His Pikachu, Charizard, and Lapras could all go down by Rock-Ground type, or something of the sort. Blastoise and Charizard also share an Electric weakness. Venusaur has a bunch of weaknesses, Snorlax is arguably the worst. But a strong enough Pokémon would take it down.

No... I think he was about right for being the "ultimate" Pokémon trainer at the time. It was just important that you had a varied team so that you could get some type advantages in.

He was under-powered for being the best trainer ever. I mean, he should've had at least a couple of Pokémon in the 90's.

I wouldn't say he's overpowered seeing how I traded over my tough Pokémon from Diamond to beat him. But if you are trying to beat him with your in-game team it'll take some training.

No, he wasn't overpowered, it was nice to finally have a bit of challenge in the game. However it's frustrating the way you go straight from level 40s - 50s to 80's. So it takes a TON of merciless grinding on levels 40 - 50 just to get your levels up high enough to have a chance against him, if you want to use your in-game team.

He is not overpowered.... But I was often under level, with Pokémon only in the 60's, which made him hard for me.

Well, if you were me. I was training a new patch of Pokémon and noticed him. I challenged him. Got crushed. I didn't bring my main party to battle him. Ugh.
