Is Satan completely evil?

this is an interesting topic, but the potential for offense is very present. please be mindful and thoughtful with your posts.

In my opinion Satan is not a completely evil entity,

we know that he used to be "A sun of the morning" and basically the right hand man of god.
when Jesus and Satan both proposed their plans:
Jesus wanted us to have free will, and the glory to go to God.
Satan wanted to make sure we all were able to come back to God.
this plan itself was not evil, and is comparable to the security vs freedom debate that happens all over the world in countless subjects today.
where Satan went wrong, however, was that he wanted the glory
This shows us that Satan had let pride get in his way, and while pride in itself is not an evil thing, it can get in the way of our ability as humans to do good.

this is where my argument goes a little bit more in-between the lines:

when Satan's plan was rejected his self-esteem was wounded.
He decided that he would show god that he was the best choice, as opposed to Jesus, and so made it his mission to make Jesus' plan fail by exploiting its weakness: that we would not all make it back to god.

In my opinion, Satan does not hate God: He hates Jesus for taking his moment of glory away from him.

he has not "fallen to far to be brought back": he simply refuses to admit that he was wrong and will fight to the very end to defend his side.
