I dunno about you guys, but I'm the kind of person who is very grateful for the very small things in life. The tiniest details are what matter the most and can change a person's entire mood or outlook on a certain subject. For example, sending someone you enjoy talking to a good morning text (or saying "Good morning!" if you see them in person), taking interest in something someone is passionate about because you want to talk to them about it or enjoy it with them, complimenting somebody you know out of the blue for whatever reason, and etc.

To me, it's the little things that matter the most. What are some things that are small but make you guys happy/satisfied? Or a small detail about something or someone you like that makes you like that thing or person even more than before.

As for myself, something I really like is when somebody asks me specifically for music or anime recommendations. They could have asked anybody else or even tried looking stuff up themselves, but they asked me. What makes me even happier is when they listen/watch the recommendation I gave them and enjoy it a lot, and then end up talking to me about it. Those kind of conversations turn out to be some of the best.
Similarly, when someone watches an anime or listens to an artist because they see me talking about it a lot and take interest or are curious.

Another small thing I like is when a relative of mine is out, doing whatever, and they bring me back something (such as food, a useful item, etc), because it tells me that they were thinking of me while I wasn't even present, and that's just sweet.
Sweet or positive comments about things I do are also something I cherish. It could be something like "Congrats, I'm proud of you!" or even "Looks pretty good!". It's a part of the process that lets you know your efforts are appreciated and will pay off in the end.

Let me know about the little things in life you guys enjoy (because that might refresh my memory as well, since I've forgotten what the other things I liked were. :P)!

It really is the little things that matter, either good or bad things.

As @[member="Sanctuary"] stated before, little gifts that mean people think about me are really nice and I really appreciate them.

There are, however, little things that contribute to the negative side of life. One being when people be rude to each other. People know it's rude, but they do it anyway, such as saying, "You have an ugly face" or swear. Even if people swear subtly. We should love our enemies, not hurt them!

Also when people make fun of the innocent. I've heard that Australian radio channel hosts were speaking horribly about Mother Theresa, who is now Saint Theresa. They were saying disgusting comments about her looks and I find that disrespectful and low. For a person who has contributed to make this world (and India) a better place, these are cowardly things to say.

Likewise, I really like it when people are sincere. When people ask you "What's wrong?", most of the time they ask just so they know, for they are curious. But when somebody actually means that they care, then it gives them a good reputation.

I love people who are honest and hardworking, and actually try to avoid doing bad things, but especially remain positive. We live in a world where so many bad events are occurring, but thinking of the positive aspects of life help. If only everybody is accepting, this world would be nice for once.

One thing that makes me very happy and might be a little thing. It is the way people actually call out to me when they see me. They are happy to see me.

I used to be quite friendless and shy. I was not able to make friends, but now it feels like the world is different. Just because there are people that are happy to see me.

I know this is something I need to do more, I think I'd be much happier if I looked more at the smaller things. I tend to overlook things a lot. Like today I spent time with my step father which was nice.

I actually can relate to this a bit. I used to be really quiet and shy, but I opened up a bit and it makes me very happy whenever someone says hi to me in the hallways or yells my name when they see me like it makes me feel important.

The little things are what make up my entire existence - a raison d'être, if you will. My eyes are better oriented towards small details than big pictures, and thus I will pick up or notice the smaller pieces of life and interactions than I will the overall context.

While I openly admit to having virtually zero emotion, bizarrely I have made it a personal goal to help make people smile. You may find that weird, and from my perspective it is - how can I make people smile if I don't (or potentially can't) smile myself? But I've found it's very easy to amuse people and make them smile - you identify what they like or what they derive meaning, happiness, or humour from, and cater to that.

As for small things done for me, I don't think of very many, because I do not think of them unless I expressly ask for them. I am not the type of individual who likes receiving things, and less so when I didn't ask for them. I know what it is I seek, and I go after that - and I know at times I cannot acquire that on my own, so I ask for assistance. When people respond to my requests and help me out, that means a lot to me.

In truth you could probably narrow or boil that down to "being grateful for one's help", and really that's all it is, but for someone like me who doesn't usually like asking for help (I like being self-sufficient, almost to an unhealthy degree), when I am responded to positively, I react in kind. I'm pleased when people offer me help, and even more pleased when I ask for help from people I consider just acquaintances rather than friends (because I don't always expect acquaintances to help - after all, we don't know each other enough, right?).

Most of the little things I like don't involve other people. There are some like being thanked for helping someone out, or setting up something. Though the biggest thing I love is when I have the opportunities to just chill and enjoy my surroundings by myself. I have been found many times in the back of my truck, on my bike, or on a lawn chair in some scenic location. I've biked to the beach at night and listened to the waves. I've sat on the back of my truck eating breakfast early in the morning overlooking the entire island of hawaii from a cliff. Hell right now I'm in my backyard enjoying some music and listening to the crickets sing their nightly song. It's relaxing and I feel at peace with the world and myself.

I'm sorry but I just HAD to do it... Getting back to the topic I think it's very touching if people show concern and are worried and willing to care for others (like Rem from Re:Zero), if that counts as a little thing.

My biggest problem is that for ne little things are a double-edged sword. For instance: I'm an artist, and being an artist I always aim to improve my work however I can, so naturally I look for opinions on my work to see what I did right and wrong. However, even if a person just simply says "swag" it always makes my day, because even if they did only say a single word, it makes me feel good about the work I do.

However, the little things can also really bother me. I could simply have made the tiniest mistake, said something out of place without realising or some such, and because of that I'll end up feeling like total crud. More often than not there's no actual harm done, but that doesn't stop what I feel.

That being said, it has been and always will be my view that little things are important. Even saying a simple "hi, how are ya?" can make a persons day, because you're showing them you care. And in this world it's important to remember that people do care.

To me, the little things matter hugely.
