So yes, I am quite new to competitive battles, and before anyone mentions and drops any links to tutorials yes I've read a few- Especially the one at the nugget bridge.xD But I prefer getting first hand help from people who has lots of experience in IV breeding.:O

Anyways, I'm away that this requires the following-- Power Items, access to the daycare centre, destiny knot, friend safari, and hell lotta ditto squishies.x - x But what's the flow?

First off- setting a scenario... If I have obtained espurrs of different IV's including a hidden ability, how will I be able to pass down the hidden ability to

offspring INCLUDING the IV's? I'm aware that I would be needing a ditto-- but does it have to be from a friend safari to be able to pass down good IV's? And how will I be able to pass down the IV's the the baby espurrs?

Secondly- does this require a to have a person with a ditto on the friend safari? Do I HAVE to catch the person online to be able to obtain good IV's from the said safari? Is it alright to just obtain the said dittos from Pokémon village instead?

Thirdly- How will destiny knot and everstone come into play? I am very away the everstone has the ability to pass down the specified nature to the offspring but other than that... Does it have any other effect?

    Help would be greatly appreciated so please and thank you.^ - ^;

Ok, firstly when breeding a Pokémon with a hidden ability with a ditto, some of the offspring will have the HA and some won't (I'm not sure of the percentages, from personal experience it would be roughly 60% have the HA).
When using a destiny knot, the IVS from either parent in 5 of the 6 stats will be passed down on to the offspring. The last stat is random. So if you bred a 5IV espurr with a 6IV ditto you would be guaranteed to get an espurr between 4-6 perfect IVs (4 if the imperfect IV from the espurr is chosen, 6 if all the stats which are chosen are perfect and the random stat is also perfect). Because of this, even if you breed two 6IV pokes together, you cannot guarantee a 6IV offspring, but you can guarantee 5IVs.
As for the everstone, that simply means that the nature of the parent holding the everstone will be passed down to the offspring.
Now, as for power items, they guarantee that the stat they normally increase the EV gain for will be passed down to the offspring.
For passing down IVs to offspring, I have a 6IV ditto which I use to get perfect IV offspring. If you were to get one (which I believe I have a spare of), you would simply keep hatching eggs until you have an offspring with better IVs than it's parents (with it's hidden ability if your trying to breed for that). Then just replace the parent with your new offspring and repeat the process until you have a poke with 5IVs in the stats it needs or 6IVs.

Hopefully that sort of helped, if it was confusing I'll try to explain it more clearly. Also do you need to know about egg moves?

This video is all I needed to become the IV breeder I currently am. It goes through the process thoroughly and easy to understand.

To add onto the HA thing, if the male Pokémon has the HA, it will only pass it on if it breeds with a Ditto. If the female is the one with the HA, it can pass it down, regardless of what it's breeding with. Going by breeding with a Ditto, the female will have a higher chance of passing it down than the male. I'm not quite sure of the percentage but I think for females it's 60%.

I'm pretty sure that when it's a male and female of the same species breeding and the female has it's HA there's an 80% chance to pass it on. As for ditto breeding, I don't think anybody has confirmed the percentage.

For example you want to breed a 5IV (-Atk) Espurr with its HA and a Modest nature.

Things that would speed up breeding by a lot:
    • Flame Body Talonflame
    • Hatching O-Power
    • a thin coin (something like a penny)
    • 6IV Ditto (I will detail this later)
    Steps:
    1) Catch lots of Espurr from a Friend Safari. You'll need these:
    • female Espurr with HA and at least two perfect IVs
    • lots of male Espurr (keep on capturing until you have at least one Espurr having each of the important 31 IVs - in this case you need Espurr with perfect IVs in HP, Def, SpA, SpD, and Spe)
    2) Now you need to get the right nature. If you weren't able to catch a Modest natured male Espurr in Step 1, you can search your boxes if you have any male Pokémon from the Field egg group ( http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Field_(Egg_Group) ). If you don't, then go capture one in the Friend Safari. It also helps if you could get yourself a collection of Ditto with all of the natures.

    3) Your first parents are going to be the Modest natured Pokémon from Step 2 and the HA female Espurr from Step 1. Give the Modest natured Pokémon an Everstone, then give Espurr a Destiny Knot. Put them in the Day Care and get 5 eggs. At this point, I suggest you put your Talonflame as your only Pokémon in your party. Make sure it has Flame Body as its ability and Fly.

    4) Once you get 5 eggs, fly to the center of Lumiose City. Get on the bike, then position yourself somewhere in the middle of the road around the Prism Tower. Put a coin under your joystick and let the eggs hatch while you do something else. If you don't get this step, try to look for a video of it on YouTube.

    5) Check if any of the hatched Pokémon are female and have their HA. If you got only 1, then use that as your parent. If you got many HA females, fly to the IV checker and see which of them has more perfect IVs. That one would be your next parent.

    6) Give the new parent from Step 5 an Everstone. Get one of your male Espurr from Step 1 to serve as the male parent, give him a Destiny Knot, then put them in the Daycare.

    7) From this point on, your only worry is passing down perfect IVs. Keep hatching eggs. Once you get a parent with more perfect IVs than the parents you used, substitute it for one of the parents.

    ---The 6IV Ditto Way---
*This method is tons faster than the previous method I explained above. However, this involves hacking a Ditto with perfect IVs in all stats as well as the correct nature (your bred Pokémon will be completely legit. If you don't like hacking, this is probably not for you.

    Steps:
    1) Prepare a 6IV Ditto with a Modest nature.

    2) Search the Friend Safari for an Espurr with its HA (gender doesn't matter).

    3) Give the 6IV Ditto an Everstone. Give the HA Espurr a Destiny Knot. Put them both in the Daycare and then collect 5 eggs.

    4) Fly to Lumiose City, do the coin trick if you feel like doing something else while the eggs are hatching.

    5) Check IVs with the IV Checker. If you hatch an Espurr with more perfect IVs than the parent Espurr, substitute the parent with that Espurr.

    6) Repeat step 5 until you get an Espurr with the 5 IVs you want.

Just ask me if you don't understand something. I know I'm not very good at explaining things :3

It helps to have a synchronizer for natures when catching Pokémon. Pokémon who have the ability Synchronize have a 50% chance of passing on their nature to a wild Pokémon encountered when they are in the first slot of the party. I believe the Ralts that Diantha gives to you is Modest with Synchronize, so if you haven't already traded with her I recommend it.

Yes the Ralts you trade with Diantha is always modest, I'll chime in on trading with her if you haven't already as is very useful.
