    Welcome to the first SoTM of 2018! This year's competition will bring some new formatting changes and some special prizes and special rules! Here's to a great 2018 in signature making!

    Superheroes and Villains​

    January's theme is all about your superheros and villains. For every Batman, there is a Joker. Every Superman has a Lex Luthor. Explore truth and justice or succumb to the power of evil, the choice is yours.​

    Rules
    This month's event has received some new rules. Please take a moment to look over them.

    - EACH PARTICIPANT MUST PM ME THEIR SUBMISSION TO BE RANDOMLY DISPLAYED.
    I will not be participating or voting so I will have no bearing on the outcome.
    - Straying from the SoTM rules or not following the theme will result in a disqualification.
    - If you are unsure or have any questions, you may ask below.
    - You must put the name of the character under the submission.​

    Submission
    Ask if you have a question regarding how to submit your work!

    Dates & Deadlines
    All deadlines are 11:59 PST
    Start Date: Monday, January 8th 2018.
    End Date: Saturday, January 20th 2018.

    Voting Begins:     Sunday, January 21st 2018.
    Voting Ends: Friday, January 26th 2018.​

    Prizes
    Prizes work in a two tier system. If we reach a certain threshold of participants we use the higher reward tier. If not, we use the lower reward tier.​

    High Reward Tier (If 10 or more entries)
    • 1st Place - AEROART (half body icon plus a Pokémon extra if they wish).
    • 2nd Place - 40 PokePoints, SoTM 2nd Place Mini-Banner.
    • 3rd Place - 30 PokePoints, SoTM 3rd Place Mini-Banner.
    • 10 PokePoints for participating.
    Low Reward Tier (Less than 10 entries)
    • 1st Place - 50 PokePoints, SoTM 1st Place Mini-Banner.
    • 2nd Place - 30 PokePoints, SoTM 2nd Place Mini-Banner.
    • 3rd Place - 20 PokePoints, SoTM 3rd Place Mini-Banner.
    • 10 PokePoints for participating.

    All prizes are funded 100% by me. If you have a lot and are generously willing to donate for future prizes PM me! ​

    Okay, here's one!
    Define exactly what you mean by "superhero".
    I think it merits at least some explanation, because while the term "villain" is pretty concrete, a "superhero" is a little vaguer.

    And along the same lines, what sorts of "villains" are you looking for?

    Superhero: A fictional character who has superhuman characteristics, using them for good.
    Villain: A fictional character who is a perpetrator of evil.

    I'd like us to stick to the Marvel, DC Comics types so if they appear in the comic books, TV Shows, Movies etc.

    If anyone has a render they are unsure of qualifies, please PM me and I will advise you.

    Yes, to keep a theme consistent, I've imposed a rule that they must come from Marvel, DC Comics etc or be present in the comics, TV Shows, or movies.

    It said in the original post that it is PST - namely, Pacific Standard Time (UTC -8). All Lake Valor events are keyed to PST deadlines.
