TV / Movies Jonathan Taylor Thomas, not as an actor anymore?

Well that sent me down a rabbit hole I didnt expect to go down today. I used to watch Home Improvement with my parents, it was our supper show for some time and I used to find Randy, the character that Jonathan played, really cute .
Looks like all 3 of the kids from that show stopped acting between 2009 and 2015. Found this quote from Jonathan in 2011 that I think just kept going after 2015:

"I’ve been going to school, and traveling quite a bit, getting to read a lot of books I’ve wanted to for quite some time. I think at this point, I’d eventually like to work behind the camera. That’s not to say I would never act again, I’m not quite sure to be honest. I still have a passion for TV and film could see myself working in it."

He has some production credits on a show called Last Man Standing that finished in 2015 so I think he just retired after that pretty much. I wonder how much money he makes off Lion King stuff after all this time. He is the voice of young Simba for those who don't know.
