Some games will pull you into another world. The story will stoke your emotions like like a furnace. The environment will make you forget which world is real. The tactical strategy will have you feeling like you are the leader that these elite warriors need and deserve. The action will have your heart racing as if your very life hangs in the balance of victory and loss. These aren't those games. These are the games that are simple, silly, and don't really push you or pull you in any way. Just a fun way to pass the time for 30 minutes hitting-and-dodging while you're also talking on the phone, or something to distract you for a bit while you match colors as a migraine wears off, or maybe to help you pass the time jumping over blocks while you wait for the bus to get here, or perhaps even just to fill you with the dreadful feeling of "Did I really just pay 20 USD for this piece of garbage where all I do is cut fruit?". Do you like the simple games? Are there any that just clicked for you so well that you want the world to know, or that left you scorned so badly you want to warn your friends to find a better way to waste their time and money?
Simple and easy games aren't all my style. I enjoy the occasional game where it's extremely difficult and in need of some desperate thought, like Tricky Wizards (and Tetris), and sometimes the Monster Hunter games are enough to make it better for me. But occasionally, simple games where you swipe things are what I need, like Best Fiends or Geometry Dash. So, I guess I like both types of games for their uses in their own ways. It just depends on what you want in the moment, in my thoughts.
I'm not gonna lie. When I was younger, I used to play those idle clicker games (cookie clickers, hero clickers, you know the sort). I don't know what I found so entertaining about those games, but they always ended the same way for me. ADHD telling me to stop after 20 or so hours. I personally enjoy the concept of some simple games. My favorite types of simple games have to be party games (Quiplash, Use your words, Cards against humanity, stuff like that). I personally enjoy these games cause it's fun to mess around with your friends.
One game I play (tho as I level up it gets slower and I play less) is cat cafe (on the app store lol) bc you can literally do no wrong. Don't give someone a cat with the right personality? they still love to be with that cat! I like watching stressful things but I can't play those types of games
I'm on the fence about this one. I haven't really found any "simple games" that really interest me. If a simple game is done well, I might enjoy it. But if it's something that really causes you to get frustrated, has no goal/an impossible goal and no purpose whatsoever... something like Flappy Bird... then I definitely wouldn't play it. Speaking of game recommendations, unless you really need to overheat a computer, don't play Cookie Clicker or any kind of clicking game. Those tend to break down nearly any device they're running on. The worst simple game ever? I've already said it. Just... Flappy Bird. Flappy Bird is honestly terrible. There are better ways to waste your time. In my opinion, sitting around and doing absolutely nothing is still a better use of time than playing Flappy Bird.
These kinds of games generally dominate mobile stores, and I don't have a smartphone, so it's not a style of game I have a lot of familiarity with. I got terribly hooked on Pocket Frogs when I was in University, and I play a lot of Spider Solitaire because it's the only game I have on my iPod (asides Pocket Frogs anyway, but hatching later frogs takes too long unless you pay) but otherwise...eh, I've never really been a huge fan. I unwind with Warriors games, or basically anything that's not an RPG.
I have a couple of these games on my phone lol, one I like is Word Mocha where it gives you letters and you need to make the words with them haha. Another one I like is Two Eyes, which is a nonogram game. It's more difficult but the music is soothing.
I’m fine with the simple games but I can only play so many, since after a while I get really bored from them. I’ll generally do 2 rounds and stop for another time. But with games like cookie clickers I don’t know when to stop since it’s continuous, so I don’t have those kinds of games (except for cookie clickers). I don’t think this response made any sense at all
