Does anyone here frequent karaoke machines? What is your song you typically sing? Any good memories involving that? How frequently do you do karaoke? Do you go alone or with friends?

I don't think there's any karaoke places where I live, but I did sing the Viridian City song from 2 B A Master at an animecon a while ago. Needless to say, it was extremely embarrassing. People who do karaoke often must have a lot self confidence.

Yeah, umm, yeah. I guess I like Karaoke... I was on a cruise a few years back and did the karaoke only because I had only a few close friends, and a bunch of people I didn't know. I know some weird songs, and I like singing, I guess. Also I'm a total weeb and have memorized a bunch of english covers for anime openings, and a bunch of Pokémon songs too

I go for karaoke sessions with my close friend occasionally when we have some time to spare. We usually sing a mixture of English and Japanese songs since the both of us like J-pop. One song we always sing is Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi as it's our self-proclaimed karaoke theme song, haha. We never leave the karaoke centre without singing it at least once.

I haven't been to a karoake place, but I remember the last time I sung karaoke was with my mom at an aunt's house. Good times.
Anyhow, despite being the terrible singer I am, I love karoake! When I was little, I would go over to the neighbor's house and sing hits like Timbaland's "Apologize." It was an amazing time! It's just so much fun singing!

I haven't done much karaoke outside of family's house, but I'd certainly love to give it a try! It sounds like a really fun idea, and I'd love to gather some friends and just go out and sing. That sounds like a great night. I did do a lot of karaoke growing up at my grandmother's house on her little machine that managed to somehow have almost every song in existence, which still baffles me.

People tell me my voice would be good for singing, but I don't know. I'm not trained at all, just singing alone in the car.

I've Karaoke'd twice: once was in a group singing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" (you do not turn down that offer, ever), and the other time was Frank Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me". I mean, nobody can do Sinatra as well as Sinatra does Sinatra, but I think I did pretty well considering my lack of training.

Both of those were in public, the first was at a coffeehouse and the second was at a bar. Hey, I wasn't drinking, so I had to do something to keep busy.

I want to practice Holy Diver, probably the original by Dio, but I totally can't hit those high notes, and they're not even that high. Oh, and "Fat Bottom Girls", I want to get good with that one too. No comment.
