Whenever you're buying something with cash, more than likely, the total isn't going to be completely even, and you'll be left with some change. What do you do with leftover change? Do you save it in a jar, piggybank, etc? Do you let the employees keep it? Do you donate it? Or maybe you just have it randomly laying around the house? What do you do with your change?

Loose change already in my possession usually lays around the house haha.

If I have extra change I'll try to let the employees keep it, but once when I was picking up dinner I was in a hurry and forgot to and then I felt really bad cries.

Oh, I thought this was going to be a topic on how to handle something changing. ...Clearly, I've yet to crack the code of title names.

For myself I always try to have at least some spare change on hand. I tend to pay with cash when possible, and I like to have enough change on my person that I don't have to receive much in return (such as when paying with bills). It's a bit of a tricky task mostly because it doesn't seem to last all that long (a couple weeks on average), but I don't like carrying too much weight on me either, and having enough to pay certain things in exact change when the amount due ends in some number like '68' is a bit of a relief.

Keep it ofc. o7 To be honest, I don't really count the change I get back after buying a good or a service, so whether they overcharged me and gave me free change is anyone's guess. I do tip here and there but only ever at one particular fast food joint that has the most rockin' chicken dishes ever.

I always save my coins. I bring them home and put the coins into a huge bag that I slowly fill up, and then I bring them to the bank every year or two to put them through the machine that gives you bills in exchange. The most recent time I did this, I got about 70 dollars out of it.

If it's under a quarter I generally tell them to keep it, otherwise it's bus money :P

Funny you should mention this! I recently had to pull I think 43 coins out of my wallet because I horded them. I keep my change, and that may not necessarily be a good thing considering all that change was probably the reason there is an actual hole in my wallet.
