The two Oposquire smiled as Blake joined them for lunch. They continued to eat their fill of berries that Sherry herself had picked. Then they heard Blake say something about a friend.

"Your friend?" Sherry asked "Is your friend from the same place you came from?"
"Sherry, not all Pokémon travel in packs, even our kind are known to be solitary Pokémon at times." Sparkster said. "He's probably just thinking of a friend back at home."

"What's it like where you're from Blake?" Sherry asked. "The forest we came from is beautiful with vibrant flowers and enough berries for everyone to eat."
"Was... It was Beautiful..." Sparkster sulked.

Blake fought with himself to eat the berries. He could just picture Amy giggling behind him as she watched him eat these bitter and gross tasting things. But he was hungry enough to force himself to eat something as healthy as these oran and Sitrus berries. After all, a little addition of vitamins to his daily diet wouldn't be a horrible thing. Now would it?

His attention quickly switched to Sherry as she asked about his friend. Then Sparkster corrected her. "Well. . . You're right and a little wrong at the same time. " He waited for a moment, then spoke up after Sparkster and Sherry had finished. "My kind likes to travel in large packs. We usually stick together until the end. Everyone fights for one another so no one is ever left in the dark. Although-I'm not sure what my friend's species do. We haven't met any of hers yet... The reason why I am alone is that my friend and I are on a quest together. . . And she doesn't like what I eat. . . So I have to hunt alone." Blake thought it was amusing that she refused to be around him when he ate. Different diets.

Then came the question of, if she was from the same area he was from. "Nope-well kind of..." He shook his head quickly. "She came from a place somewhere in the mountains, close to where I lived. Well-that's what we believe anyways..." He paused for a moment and then thought; there was a chance the duo would ask questions about why they were unsure. So he decided to continue. "...She was separated from her family by an unfortunate disaster and ended up stranded, in my clan territory. One of the elders had found her. Being that she was way too young to fend for herself, she was brought to us and then the elder took her in as her own. We actually hoped that her parents would have showed up. Sadly, no luck yet... So we've known each other forever, it seems." Then Blake laughed as he imagined an Absol traveling with a bunch of Mightyena. "She sticks out like a sore paw though. She is very different from the rest of us. But it's not bad though. Makes things very interesting at times." He snickered.

Blake pondered for a moment. "Well, it was pretty peaceful where I'm from. It's like a massive field near a large mountain. There's plenty of tall grass and streams that spider around the area. I think it's really pretty, actually. Lots of vegetation and Pokémon life. Nothing really exciting happens though, except for the one disaster that caused her to be separated. But that's about it... Oh and the one who adopted her, always seemed to find the most random of things." Blake laughed for a moment and stopped abruptly. He had been a chatter box for once! Usually Amy was the one doing all the talking but not today!

"So. . . what about you guys? How long have you two known one another? What's your home like?"

Sparkster and Sherry listened to Blakes story. They felt sad for his friend, having lost her parents, they seemed to be able to relate well. As Blake went on to describe his home, their spirits lifted a little bit, at least for a little while. But then Blake asked them about their home and spirits sunk again. They probably saw that question coming, They had asked about Blake's home, it was only fair that he would ask them the same question. Sherry looked to Sparkster, not being able to bring herself to answer. Sparkster answered instead.

"Right now.. It's nothing more than a charred wasteland." Sparkster said "Camp fire a human had started spread and eventually was beyond anyone's control. The whole forest was destroyed." Sparkster looked to Sherry. "We lost family in the fire as well, and the Forest itself was inhabitable.. We had to leave.."

Sherry looked up for a bit. "But..." She said "Before that all happened, it was a beautiful Alpine Forest, with plenty of berry bushes and plants. There were a lot of friendly Pokémon too."

    ----
(Location: somewhere near Sherry and Blake's location)
Somewhere in the wild, a Snivy and a Servine seems to be having a friendly battle.

"Hahaha, you're no match against my Leaf-Blade!" Snivy pridefully boasted.

"Awwwghhh, that actually hurts!" Sir Vine moaned as he rubbed his head from the impact from Snivy's leaf blade.

"Well, after the training we had, it surely was worth it, we've both improved. You actually ain't bad yourself!" She gave a humble smile.

"Get out of here." Sir Vine chuckled. "So are we going to continue or this is enough for today?" He asked.

"Well, it's your call." Snivy replied. "Well... I'm having fun so... let's continue! Prepare yourself Snivy!" Sir Vine shouted. Snivy nodded and prepared for anything his opponent was going to throw at her.

The two then fought and their forces collided with each other causing leaves to sway and strong winds to occur.

A wasteland. That utter thought of a beautiful place turning grim at the touch of human hands. It was sickening to him. How could those creatures do something so destructive like that and have no remorse over it? Blake only shook his head, disapprovingly. Humans were nothing more than destructive creatures in his mind. "They seem to be good at causing disasters. . . Don't they?" He said a bit bitterly. He and Amy both figured that part of their disaster was caused by humans as well. But he wasn't going to go into that. Blake saw the gloom that seemed to have crept over all of them. So he figured to pull an Amy, and change topics.

He went to say something else, when his ears twitched at a sound of something moving around and some unfamiliar sounds. His eyes gazed up at the leaves, watching them sway in an odd pattern. There was no way that it could have been a storm. Amy would have jumped at him in a heart-beat, telling him about it. And she was no where to be seen, from where he is. "Hmm... Do you hear that?" He looked to the duo before him, wondering if they too feel something different. Maybe he was just over-reacting? Maybe it's the berries that made him hallucinate!

Sparkster and Sherry perked their ears, and tried to listen in response to Blake asking if they could hear something. They heard leaves rustling in an odd manner, as if some kind of force was making them do it. They could hear whooshing sounds too, like when Sparkster swings a stick really fast or the sound a vine whip makes. They then looked to Blake and nodded, just before describing what they heard.

"I hear the leaves" Said Sherry. "could it just be the wind?"
"No.. I think there's a battle of some kind going on beyond the bushes." Sparkster said. "as frequently and abruptly those leaves are moving, I don't think that's simply the wind."

Sparkster looked to Blake "Maybe we should check it out?"

"I got you now!!!" Snivy then used Attract and Sir Vine fell for it, he was unable to resist Snivy's charm and was vulnerable to any attack. "Hehe, no one could resist my charm." She winked and smiled. She then used Leaf Tornado and off it sent her opponent flying.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!" Sir Vine screamed as he found himself being brought up into the sky. "Okay, you win, so could you please put me down, gently?"

"Gently? As you wish, she then stopped causing, Sir Vine to fall, but then Snivy quickly ran over and caught him in her arms.

"Are you crazy?! You know what can happen if you didn't caught me?!" Sir Vine madly said.

"Don't you worry, I'm fast like the wind! And really? You thought I was gonna let you fall?" Snivy chuckled.

"No, no, it isn't that, I'm just... bah, never mind." Sir Vine a little bit embarrassed said as he stood up, "I fell for your attract again... I really couldn't find a way to counter it. Maybe it's just because you're really attractive eh?" Sir Vine teased and gave some sort of a compliment.

"Uh... Emmm..." Snivy was flattered and blushed. She was speechless.

"Maybe you can use that to your advantage, like if a trainer tries to catch you, you could just use your attractiveness and flee." Sir Vine said. "

"Tee-hee, you and your silly jokes." Snivy giggled. She then noticed the damage they caused to their surroundings. "Sir Vine? Do you think we should clean this mess up?"

"This is the wild, it's meant to look this way." Sir Vine said.

"Surely, someone noticed our battle earlier, we caused a lot of noise and unnatural phenomenons..." She stated.

Blake went onto the defensive mode. More so out of habit rather than trying to act all macho. His ears pinned back and he crouched low to the ground. It just seemed to odd, how the wind and sounds were. Though, as defensive as he is, he was not growling or snarling. If Sherry and Sparkster wanted, they could even get a ride on his back! He would allow it.

Whether or not they did hop on his back, Blake then moved in the source's direction. Slowly but surly. He wasn't going to get tackled by something mysterious. It wasn't going to get the best of him! So as he crept, he could hear voices. Tones of which he hasn't heard of before. So it definitely wasn't the three he had left behind earlier. Besides, Amy had a distinct voice in his opinion. He could call her out, even if there were a hundred female Absol in the area.

Once he got close enough to the site where Snivy and Sir Vine were, he crouched low. Trying to hide in the bushes. The positive side was, he wasn't hungry and wasn't planning to attack. The negative side is, he was still a hunter in training, and accidentally stepped on a small twig, snapping it. Snivy and Sir Vine can definitely hear the snap.

"Aw crap." he growled lowly. "Well no sense on hiding. . . I guess. . . "

"Huh? What was that?" Snivy heard a soft snap from behind the bushes.

"What was what?" Sir Vine asked, not hearing what Snivy just heard.

"I heard a soft snap from behind those bushes, someone is spying on us." Snivy said as she looked towards the location where Blake was hiding.

"I dunno sis, I have a bad feeling about this kind of things..." Sir Vine started to get a bit alarmed and scared.

"Well, I'm gonna check it out." Snivy then walked towards the bushes and tried to look for the noise's source.

The two Oposquire followed Blake towards the area they heard the noise come from. When Blake snapped a twig it made Sherry jump a little bit, but she didn't shriek or scream. Sparkster saw the Snivy approaching and decided to be the first to step out of the bush, Sherry followed.

"Hi there!" He said in a friendly tone. "The name is Sparkster the Oposquire."
"I'm Sherry." Sherry said. "Are you the ones causing the strange winds?"

The Mightyena continued to stall while the two Oposquire had hopped off. "Huh?" He watched them make their way towards the two strangers. Blake continued to stand where he stood due to him debating on whether or not he wanted to meet new people. It's out of his norm, greeting a lot of new people in one day.

He sighed. "Might as well." He sunk his head for a moment and then picked himself back up. After all, he didn't want to look lazy and inconsiderate! He walked through the bushes and showed himself to the two new comers.

Once he appeared in the area, he looked at the four of them. Silently he stood, wondering what he should say. Then he blurted; "Hey."

Snivy was a bit surprised when she saw two oposquires suddenly appeared in front of her. "Well, yes, we're the ones causing those strange winds. We were having a friendly battle... Anyway, I'm Snivy. And that's Sir Vine." She said in a friendly tone.

"Hey, nice to meet you." Sir Vine smiled at Sparkster and Sherry.

"We're you the ones that made the snap?" Snivy asked.

Sir Vine then noticed a mightyena walking out from the bushes revealing itself. "Hey there, nice to meet you." Being sociable and friendly, Sir Vine always greeted strangers, no exceptions.

"Ah-hem." Snivy cleared her throat, getting the group's attention. "So, what's up?" as she crossed her arms looking confidently at the Pokémon around her.

"Oh, we were just having some lunch when we noticed the commotion." Sparkster said. "Having a friendly battle eh? I bet you can do some real damage if it was a serious fight." Sparkster of course was joking around, but could see how confident Snivy was. He also liked how polite Sir Vine was towards him and his friends. "Anyway, Sherry and I have been on the move for some time now."

"Then we ran into Blake here, who has been very kind as to help us out earlier when another Pokémon was attacking us." Sherry added. "Sparkster and I come from the far West. There was recently a disaster there, so we had to leave, and looking for a new home."

"Sherry, They don't need to know ALL of that." Sparkster said to Sherry.
"Sorry Sparkster, I get carried away sometimes... You know that." Sherry apologized.

"Well, all of that training will pay off sooner or later, right Sir Vine?" she said, still with her arms crossed, looking to Sir Vine.

"You betcha." Sir Vine agreed and nodded. The two snake-grass types then listened to Sherry and Sparkster.

"Oohhh, sorry to hear that fellas." Snivy showing sympathy for the two Pokémon said.

"I hope you find another home." Sir Vine added.

"Anyway, we're from Arbor Area. We ended having a friendly battle here because we need the training, in case a Pokémon decides to attack us or a trainer tries to catch us. I just hate pokeballs, not that I'm scared of pokeballs, I hate it when someone tries to catch me." She complained, still with her arms crossed.

"Training is a good idea" Sparkster said. "I guess I could use more training myself.. I was almost killed by a rival who followed us" Sparkster paused as he thought about that fight and how badly he had lost "I suggest watching out for another Oposquire named Axel.. He's much bigger than I am, and Shiny, so he'll have black and pinkish fur. He also has a scar on his left cheek..."

"He likes to fight too.. sometimes a bit too much." Said Sherry. "He may not be evolved, but I'm sure even you know that evolution isn't everything. Axel is ruthless as well as strong. He'll kill his opponents if given the chance... If you run into him, be careful.. That's all we're saying."

Then the Oposquire heard Snivy and Sir Vine gave condolences, and Snivy proceeding to talk about the training and her dislike of humans trying to catch them.

"We just avoid humans in general." Sparkster said. "It's not like we're afraid of them or anything, they could all be that bad, but one Pokéball could mean separate Sherry and I."

Blake continued to stand there silently. He wasn't really sure as what he should talk about. The Oposquire seem to know what to say while the newcomers both engaged in the conversation. Maybe Blake could be just a listener? Then chime in when he felt like it? He assumed that would be the better option.

He did nod when Sherry told them how she and Sparkster met him. "Yeah. It was an interesting event." He said as he parked himself on the ground. Sitting, he was being lazy and didn't want to stand.

"Eh. . . Humans. They're too distractive." Blake said a bit bitterly before he quieted himself down once more.

However there was a rustle behind him. Just as he looked in the direction. Something large and white flew out of the bush shouting "FOUND YOU!" and tackled him. They rolled to the side, missing Sir Vine, Snivy, Sherry, and Sparkster. When they stopped rolling, Blake was pinned to the ground, looking up at the one who just attacked him. Snarling at first, he then realized who it was and simmered down. "Amy. . ."

"I win, again." She shouted at him again before she hopped off. As Blake got back up, she looked to the others. "You found some new friends, huh?"

"She's the one I was telling you about." He said to Sherry and Sparkster. "Amy, Sherry and Sparkster. Sherry and Sparkster. Amy." he looked to Sir Vine and Snivy. "Uh. . . I don't know their names. But this is Amy anyways. . ."

    "Hello~" Amy greeted.

Sparkster and Sherry jumped a bit when Amy came out of nowhere and tackled Blake. "What in the world!?" Sparkster shouted and got in a defensive position in front of Sherry. He didn't know what was going on until Blake told them who the Absol was. "Oh! Well hello there, you gave me a bit of a scare there." Sparkster said as he rubbed the back of his head. Sherry looked to the Absol who seemed to be very friendly. "Hello~" She said in a sweet tone. "So you're the friend Blake was telling us about. You seem very nice, just like he said. You like Berries? We picked a bunch earlier, there's still plenty."

Standing right next to Blake as he straightened himself up from the tackle. Being a rather small sized Absol, she was still a little taller than he was. However her stance was more full of pride, where Blake just seemed relaxed. "I am sorry for scaring you. And he was talking about me? A lot? Or was he just saying 'Oh I know this one weird-o...' ....OH! I bet he said stuff along the lines of 'she's kinda cute~ But I don't want to let her know that because my name is Blake.'"

"Pfft." Blake snorted then fumbled with words. "A-And I never said anything like that."

"Mhm." Amy teased. "Sure you didn't." She gave him the most cheeky smirk ever. Blake sort of shrunk himself and looked away. Almost as if she had hit the right spot. Unintentionally, of course. Amy looked at the environment surrounding them. "So-What's going on? I'm not interrupting a practice battle or anything, am I?" She noticed how the terrain looked a little rough. Possibly by the fight.

"Humans are a pain in the arse, constantly trying to catch you, I know I'm a rare starter, but come on. Don't they know when to give up? There was this time that I escaped from 3 of his so called pokeballs, and still he was persistent. I managed to outrun him though." Snivy shared.

When Sir Vine was about to say something, there was an Absol that came out from nowhere, as a response, the two quickly dodged and jumped to a distance.

"What in Arceus name?!" Snivy yelled. When Sir Vine knew what was going on, he went towards the group and greeted, "Quite a hell of an entrance don't ya think? Anyway, I'm Sir Vine, your everyday friendly Servine, and that's my friend Snivy." He introduced to the Absol named Amy.

Snivy then approached the group, "So, what's up? I'm Snivy." She pridefully said then gave a smug. After hearing Amy's question she responded, "Well, it was the outcome of a friendly battle between me and him." Snivy said and pointed to Sir Vine. "What about you? What are you doing here?" She asked as she again, crossed her arms.

Sherry moved back into the bushes to retrieve the remaining berries from their lunch, she herself was full, and now that there were some more people about, she figured that they all might be hungry, especially Snivy and Sir Vine. Soon she came back with the whole leaf they had been using as a platter.

"We have a lot of Berries left over from lunch, would any of you like some?" She said.
"I almost forgot about those" Said Sparkster. "Yeah, help yourselves, Sherry picked way too many of them."
