"Sadly." The Mightyena spoke up suddenly. "Humans are rather persistent. Kind of like a flock of Murkrow trying to get steal something shiny." He recalled a moment where there were a bunch of Murkrow around where he and his pack were. They were all persistent on getting something that a wandering human had dropped. And all of them were fighting over it with some Krabby and Kingler mob. It wasn't a pretty sight, and Blake couldn't remember who had won overall.

"Huh? OH! Yeah! My entrance! Why thank you!" She did a fancy Absol bow where her one paw was placed further outwards as her other stayed in place. She bowed her head to Sir Vine. "I've been practicing! I get Blake, every time!" She chimed as Blake snorted at her side. "Pleasure to meet you all!"

After he had been tackled by Amy, he decided to continue with the human talk. "Amy has a lot of bad luck with humans." He laughed at her misfortune.

"Pfft!" She huffed and her human rant starts. "They don't like me, because when I tell them something disastrous is going to happen, they just throw rocks at me and call me 'Bad Luck.' Then the disaster happens and guess what?! They all get hurt, and I'm sitting there going 'WHY DIDN'T YOU LISTEN TO ME!?!' But then they keep thinking that I caused it and STILL chase me off." Her fluffy collar around her neck poofed up, more so out of frustration with how ignorant humans could be. And the fact of being called 'Bad Luck.' That was the biggest thing that bothered her. She hated being called 'Bad Luck' or 'The Disaster Bringer.'

"Calm down Amy." Blake said to her.

Amy let out a sigh, just letting everyone know that she calmed her self down. "Sorry! I tend to get all worked up--sometimes. Not all the time! I swear!" She flailed a bit. "Me? I was wondering where Blake had gone. Usually when he hunts it doesn't take him that long so I got worried, told the others that I wanted to search for him and that if they wanted to follow me, they could. Then I heard his gruff voice and I knew where he was! So I figured to scare him by tackling him."

"See what I told you? She's the 'odd one.'" Blake added.

Amy looked at Sherry and Sparkster. "Woah! You guys got Blake to eat berries? I've been trying to get him to do so for years, and all he ever does is whine."

"I do not whine. It's called PROTESTING. There's a difference." Blake objected.

"Mhm." Amy didn't believe him but she wasn't going to keep picking on her friend. After all, she already probably talked their ears off when she was ranting about humans. "Oh-uh. Thank you!" She chimed as she took a berry that she liked best out of the pile.

"Yeah, humans are a pain in the arse, persistent creatures that don't know when to give up... Here we go again, I don't want to repeat and rant about how I dislike humans..." She scoffed.

Sir Vine then noticed Sherry going into the bushes and out she came with a plate of berries, she was kindly offering them. "Why how nice of you guys, thanks a bunch." Sir Vine nodded and took some berries. "Snivy, come on, berries." He tapped her.

"Not that I hate..." She was interrupted by Sir Vine's tapping and her attention was diverted to the berries. "I guess I have to forget about those trainers that think they know it all..." She then grabbed some berries and began to eat.

Sherry and Sparkster looked at each other as their friends ate some of the berries that were left over from their lunch. They were happy to have made some friends since entering the forest. They had never really taken much time to actually meet new Pokémon or make friends with them, since they would always end up having to run away from Axel, The rogue Oposquire from before. Snivy and Sir Vine had not yet met this Oposquire, nor had Amy.

"Those two and Blake seem very strong don't they Sparkster?" Sherry asked her friend. "Do you think that they would allow you to train with them?"
"We don't even know where they are headed, or if they are heading anywhere." said Sparkster.
"We don't even know where WE are headed Sparkster, and I'm growing tired of all this running." Sherry complained.
"I know... So am I.. But we can't stay here now that Axel has seen us here, he'll only cause trouble." Sparkster explained.
"He's not going to leave us alone if we keep running.. He won't stop until he gets what he wants, and you know it..." Sherry said in a serious tone.

Sparkster was quiet for a moment, and thought about what sherry was telling him. Axel had always had a strong hate for Sparkster, ever since Sherry had become friends with him. It was almost as if he was jealous or something. That's when he realized that it was really Sherry that Axel was after, and is trying to get Sparkster out of the picture, even if it meant killing him. If Blake had not been there when he was, Axel would have done just that, even worse, right in front of Sherry. He needed to become stronger if he was going to ever beat Axel and protect Sherry. He looked to his new friends and spoke.

"I don't want us to be a burden or anything but.." Sparkster took a deep breathe. "Would any of you mind if we travel along with you? You all seem like very strong Pokémon.. and I want to be strong too."
"Please, it would mean so much to us to have even a little help." Sherry pleaded.

"It's okay! I think we all can share some form of hatred towards the humans." Amy said to Snivy. She knew where Snivy was going with this. Slowly she continued to nibble away the berries that were given to her. They were so good tasting. And she was still very surprised that they were capable of getting Blake to eat berries.

"They do know everything." Blake added on to Snivy's comment. "They know everything about making the environment all messy and making us miserable." He wrinkled his nose at the thought. He could rant more about how much he disliked humans, but he knew Amy would probably stuff a berry in his mouth.

Sparkster and Sherry were trying to get all of their attention. Amy and Blake looked over to them. Amy smiled at them. As for Blake he just continued standing there with an emotionless expression. Since Blake wasn't likely to answer, Amy decided to answer for him.

"Sure! I don't mind!" Amy chimed.

"Yeah, we all can train together or something. Get stronger and all that fun stuff." Blake said a bit dully. But don't get him wrong, he was enjoying the idea that their 'duo pack' is growing in numbers. They're no longer just a 2 person group now!

"Yeah! All of us can train together. I think it'll be fun." Amy chimed once again. She's definitely the more light-hearted person out of the two of them. Blake was just so mellow.

"Really? You mean it?" Sherry asked with a while. "I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to get a little stronger too, while Sparkster is training with you guys. My Sweet Scent needs a little work."
"Thank you." Sparkster said, also smiling. "So then.. after you eat, shall we get started?"

Sparkster was very excited about being able to train with other Pokémon who weren't going to try to kill him. Of course after his encounter with Axel, it may not have been in his best interest to start right away, but he didn't care. In fact he felt fine, he ran up a near by tree and found a switch that had be cracked loose from the tree as a result to Snivy's and Sir Vines battle. He grabbed it with his tail and swung off of the tree, making it snap off of the branch. He then landed on the ground by the rest of the group.

"Oh! Sparkster? are you sure you're well enough to start this NOW? besides I think the others are still eating." Sherry asked.
"I'm feeling great Sherry! Those berries not only hit the spot, but my injuries are all better now." Sparkster said.
Sherry sighed. "Alright then.. I wish I could learn Heal Pulse.. then I could just heal you whenever you get hurt. But until then, please be careful."

"We all could use to get stronger." Blake said dully. He knew he really needed training. It was getting a bit boring with only having Amy as a battle partner all the time. Sometimes she beats him in a match and sometimes he wins. He always feels like he goes easy on her though. Sadly, he didn't know why he always felt that way.

"You're welcome." Amy replied. "Uh. . . We could? As long as you're okay--I mean, you look a little banged up. . . Or maybe we should find a spot to camp out. Just in case we all tire one another out or something." She suggested. She didn't really like the idea of doing a bunch of practice battling without having a place to rest.

"Amy, you're like the book of attacks. Can you do Heal Pulse?" Blake asked.

"No. But I can do Perish Song!" She said in a rather happy tone.

"Uh. . . I don't think that would be helpful in this situation." He sunk his head a little bit.

"I know. . . I was trying to be funny." Amy sighed.

"That's alright" Said Sherry. "I'll just have to figure it out as we go... as for where we can camp, We're aren't really picky as long as there's a good tree to nap in."

Sparkster in the meantime was whacking the stick he had against a medium sized boulder to make sure it was durable enough for battle. It was a fresh switch so as he expected, it did not snap on impact of the stone. he did tightened his grip on the stick with his abrasive tail.

"Okay! Lets do this thing Blake!" Sparkster said, seeming particularly excited about battling a fully evolved Pokémon like Blake. "I'm ready when you are!"
"Now hold on Sparkster, shouldn't we take Amy's suggestion and find a place to camp first?" Sherry asked.

Sparkster wasn't listening, he already had that fire in his eyes, and he was ready to go, or at least he thought he was anyway. Sherry sighed and looked to Amy.

"I guess boys will be boys, Sparkster tends to be a bit reckless sometimes.." Sherry said "We might as well set up camp here, we can probably build a nest or some place to lay down will all of the stray leaves laying about."

"I'm not that picky either. Although I prefer to sleep in bushes and shrubbery. I like to hide when I sleep." She looked to the side. Being a white color really didn't help with blending in with the environment. It was tough. "Although, Blake does a good job hiding me." She laughed.

Blake wasn't listening to Amy or Sherry. Sparkster wanted to get into a match against him and he wasn't going to back down. He also wasn't going to go full on attack-mode either. After all, it's only a training battle.

"If you insist." He said to Sparkster as he prepared himself into a battle stance. His feet were planted evenly on the ground. "Why don't you go first! I insist!"

Amy frowned and shook her head. "They definitely will. Blake can be reckless when he wants to be. He's more stubborn and proud." She laughed and decided to sit next to Sherry, and maybe team Snivy too if they decide to sit and watch.

"This place looks nice so I wouldn't mind camping out here. There's a bunch of us so if anything decides to try and bother us, we can all team up and defend ourselves." Amy said.

"That's a very good point Amy." Said Sherry as she sat down to watch. "Please be careful Sparkster."

Sparkster looked to Blake and twirled his weapon with his tail as if it were a bo staff. This was his Swords Dance. "Alright Blake! Here I come!"

Sparkster charged at Blake, leaping and performed a flip to used double slap, only he used his tail instead of his paws trying to strike Blake. He was testing to see what Blake was capable of.

"Haha. Yeah." She nodded and rested her head on her front legs. Amy liked watching how Blake fought, his style was completely different to hers. His always seemed so precise and yet powerful looking at the same time. He was always in the zone, focused on what he is going to do next.

"Good." Blake said through his teeth. His jaw normally was clenched shut when he engages into a battle. He probably does it so he doesn't end up biting his tongue on accident.

Blake decided not to move when Sparkster did a double slap with his tail. Withstanding the attack, Blake waited for the perfect moment to snap back at Sparkster with a fancy Crunch attack. His jaws snapped making a hollow clamping sound. "Nice attack." He said as he hunched his back once more, ready to pounce at Sparkster.

"Just a heads up, if you want to be a surprise attacker, I suggest being a little bit more subtle with your attacks. Or let your opponent think you're doing one attack when you're really building up for another. Confusing the enemy is always a plus." That's how he felt about attacking others. Always trying to come up with clever attacks to make others get confused.

Amy giggled a little. "This is kinda cute actually. Maybe they can teach each other on attack styles!"

Sparkster's double slap didn't seem to do much damage to Blake, which was fine with him, he didn't want to hurt his sparring partner afterall, When Sparkster saw Blake go in with a Crunch attack, he stepped back quickly so he wouldn't be bitten. He then listen to what Blake said about subtlety.

"Be Subtle... Be Subltle..." He said to himself as he tried to think of a more creative way to pull that off with his limited arsenal of attacks. He was still young, all he knew was Bite, Swords Dance, Double Slap, and Scratch. as he did so he was hopping in place, shuffling his feet. He then thought of something. He started doing his swords dance again, running at Blake at the same time and then jumped at Blake when he got close, he raised his stick as if he was going to hit Blake with it, but just as Blake would have tried focusing on the stick to dodge or block, Sparkster opened his mouth and used bit on Blake's leg.

"He's already learning it seems!" Sherry said referring to Sparkster. "Blake is very skilled too."
Sherry looked to Amy and the others. "I'm going to make a comfortable place for everyone to lay down. I shouldn't be long."

Sherry then stood up and started gathering all the leaves and piling them up using her tail as a broom of sorts.

Blake waited for Sparkster to try again. He wondered if Sparkster was going to be successful with trying to fake him out. Either way, Blake was going to let him attack him once more. Just to see what trick Sparkster could muster up. Blake on the other hand knows the moves: Crunch, Take Down, Roar, and Sand Attack.

He watched as Sparkster dove at him again. Blake watched his movement. Trying to figure out if he was going to repeat the last attack or not. As Sparkster got closer, he successfully faked out Blake. Biting onto Blake's leg. "Ouch!!" He yipped as he pulled away, trying to shake Sparkster off. "I-good." He fumbled for his words as he tried to face the pain.

"You're a quick learner. Still need to practice-but so do we all." Blake added just before he kicked Sparkster off his leg by using one of his back legs. He situated himself back into his fighting stance. "Alright. If I have anymore ideas to give you, I'll let you know. But for now... Let's battle." He snickered as he quickly moved his feet to do Sand Attack at Sparkster.

"They both are!" Amy said to Sherry. "It's nice to see Blake try to help someone else get stronger. He really likes helping others, even if it seems that he doesn't." She watched Sherry begin to clean the area up. "Mind if I help? I'm not much of a good home-maker, but I can get some of the bigger stuff. Like branches or things like that!"

"Sure, we would love company." Snivy nodded to Sparkster and Sherry. Two Opposquires seemed desperate and really needed the two snakes company. "But about the training, why don't you guys start, we just battled and plus, there won't be any forest left if we battled again eh Sir Vine?" She giggled to him.

"Hehe, well, I can't argue with that..." Sir Vine chuckled. The two then watched Blake and Sparkster battle. They were both good. They're both skilled. The forest again was rattled and the leaves of the trees rustled from the colliding forces of the two Pokémon.

"They're both good... but I'm better. Don't you agree?" Snivy teased.

"Is that a joke? Because it only made me laugh a little, hahaha." Sir Vine gave a mockingly laugh and teased back at her.

"You're a real kidder. Really." Snivy said, she then turned his attention back at the battling Pokémon.

Sparkster unfortunately was too close to Blake, and didn't have enough time to avoid his Sand Attack, so he had to cover his eyes to keep the sand from getting into his eyes. He jumped back just in time to barely avoid to avoid one of Blakes attacks. barely! Sparky ran under Blake, between his front legs, and used his stick as a sort of tripping device, by holding it horizontally at the middle with his tail as he ran through underneath him. This sort of thing of course would not have worked on a smaller Pokémon like himself, but he had never tried this before. He wasn't sure if it would have worked for sure. Reguardless of success, The little Oposquire came out from under Blake and attempted to Jump on his back from behind an perform another double slap attack.

Oposquire are very crafty with the way they use their tools. The males using sticks as weapons and such, while Females use flowers to mask their scent to hide from predators. But Sparkster was still fairly young and was still trying to perfect his technique, and was far from perfect.

Amy smiled at Snivy and Sir Vine. It was nice to have more people on the team now. They could grow stronger with one another and maybe go on cooler adventures. Perhaps they'd even help her find her parents! Her mind wandered into the thoughts of what it would be like to finally find her family. Would they remember her? If they did, what would happen? Would they get along with her friends? So many what-ifs kept popping in her head. She almost didn't realize the laughing between Snivy and Sir Vine.

Blake was preparing himself for another attack on Sparkster. But the small guy was ahead of Blake. Already running at him. What was this? He tried tripping up Blake! The swift thwack of the stick that Sparkster was using as a weapon, made Blake stagger a bit. He realized that his weight was a bit off balance, so he decided to use this to his advantage. He ended up throwing his weight around to where he would quickly turn towards Sparkster. Blake looked up and there he was again, trying to jump on his back.

Without thinking about what he should do next, he used his Take Down attack. Throwing himself right at Sparkster. "HERE WE GO!" He cheered.

Amy looked back to the duo fighting one another. She laughed. "Boy, do they get riled up?" She turned to Snivy and Sir Vine. "Battling can be fun, huh?"

Sparkster was a bit caught off guard when he realized that Blake was actually facing him. "Crud..!" He muttered to himself as he had just sent himself falling straight for Blake's Take Down attack. However he still attempted his double slap, and took a swing at Blakes head. The Attack landed, however the stronger attack ultimately won, sending Sparkster flying, and sliding across the area. Sparkster, now sprawled on the ground on his back, had swirling eyes. Sparkster had had enough it seemed. Sherry saw this and approached him.

"Sparkster? Are you okay?" She asked.
"Y-yeah... @_@" Sparkster said dizzily as he continued to lay down. "That was a heck of a fight..."

Sherry helped Sparkster to his feet and helped him get to a large patch of leaves she had piled up for everyone to rest on. "Here Sparkster, Rest a while, in fact.." Sherry turned to the others. "Why don't we all get some rest?"

The double slap landed on Blake's face, bopping him a couple of times on the nose. The pain zipped upwards and made him clench his eyes closed. He didn't even see what had happened to Sparkster after he had attacked him. "Aw dang! That hurt!" He winced.

Amy blinked as she saw Sparkster lay flat on his back. She quickly hopped up and rushed over to him, with Sherry. "Wow you really do put up a fight." Amy said to him. Once Sherry seemed to have things under control, she walked over to Blake to see if his nose stopped tingling with pain.

"I'm fine." Blake noticed her coming over to him and he just knew what she was going to ask. So he pushed the pain aside and acted all tough. His nose was the most sensitive part of him and he would often back off if something hit him there. "See? Totally good." He confirmed. "No need to worry about me. Sparkster's okay, right?"

Amy shook her head. She was disappointed that he knew what she was going to talk to him about. Quickly, she turned away. "Yes. He's fine, Blake. We all should rest, like Sherry mentioned! It's been a long day for all of us."

"Yeah. It sure has." Blake admitted as he and Amy walked back over to the others.

Sparkster and Sherry had made a nice little pit in the pile of leaves for them to lay in, and were curled up next to each other. Sparkster had set his weapon to the side so no one would accidentally lay on top of it. Sherry rested his head gently over Sparkster's back. "You did very well today I think Sparkster." Sherry said to him smiling. "heh.. Shucks, I wasn't THAT great, but thank you." Sparkster said, blushing a bit under his fur, but he refrained from curling his tail with Sherry's, not cause he didn't like her, but he felt it was inappropriate, being that they weren't mates, only friends. Sherry liked the cuddle with him. Sparkster looked up to the others.

"This is really comfortable. ^^" Sparkster said. "Sherry did a good job setting this up for us huh?"
"It wasn't hard or anything." Sherry blushed. "I actually have Snivy and Sir Vine to thank, they're the ones who knocked the leaves down in the first place."
"Come on in, The leaves are still nice and cool and everything!" Sparkster said, inviting the others.

Blake and Amy had walked over to the sleeping area and saw the marvelous work that they did. Amy smiled at them. "Wow. If I ever need someone to make me a comfy nest, I should definitely ask you guys~ This looks extremely comfortable." She walked over to them once Sparkster invited them over.

Blake quietly followed behind. He was probably thinking about his nose still. He'll get over it in a few more minutes though. But he was pleased with the nice look of the beds! He just wanted to lay down and crash right now. It seemed so appealing to him! "Thank you." he said to them.

"Yes! Thank you~" Amy said after Blake. She turned to him, wondering if he wanted to pick a spot to sleep in. But he shrugged, not caring where she chose. So she decided to pick a spot!

Once Amy got to the bed, she nestled herself down and got comfortable. As for Blake, he waited until she was completely situated before he parked himself right next to her. Side by side. This was the best way he could keep her hidden from any enemy view. Putting himself with his dark colored fur, right in front of her so there was a lower chance for her to get spotted. It seemed logical to him! He felt that he had to be the protector, even though he often wondered if Amy was actually tougher than he was.

As soon as Blake got situated, he placed his head over his paws and looked to the others. Amy leaned against him and placed her head next to his on her own paws. "So comfy~ Isn't it, Blake?" Amy said.

    There was no response.

Amy inched forward, to see what Blake was doing. And there he was. Out like a light. She chuckled and went back to her previous position. "It's actually really nice out here. Nice and calm too!"

"Yeah.." Sparkster said. "I wouldn't mind if I got to stay in a place like this, but I think before we all worry about settling down *yaaawn*...." Sparkster paused to yawn. "I think it's only fair that we help you find your family.." Sparkster yawned again before his eyes finally gave in and closed and Sparkster fell asleep.

Sherry looked at Sparkster and giggled softly. "looks like he finally fell asleep." She nuzzled him a bit. "He went through a lot today... first Axel chases us down, and almost kills him.. Then the training after that. Granted he wanted to train. I am worried that He will over do it though.." Sherry felt Sparkster wince a little bit, and she looked down at where he had been seriously bitten before, and licked the area to try and make it feel better. "He won't show it outright, but he feels pain just like any other Pokémon. He's always pushing himself to be better.. I'm sure it'll feel much better tomorrow.. at least I hope so."

Sherry let out a little yawn of her own and rested her head next to Sparksters. "Well.. Good night everyone." She said before finally falling asleep.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the forest, not too far from a stream, a shiny oposquire with a scared face (Axel) was drinking the water, slapping his tail against the ground in frustration. "I should have finished him...!" Axel mumbled to himself, angry that he didn't get a chance to slay his rival, Sparkster. "That weakling doesn't deserve to walk this Earth..! Yet She seems to think He's something special.." Axel climbed up a near by tree to spend the night in. "and That Mightyena.. who does he think he in getting in our business like that!? Next time I will teach him to mind his own!"

Axel continued to slap his tail against the the tree he was in, making a disrupting pounding noise across the forest. Other Pokémon had a hard time sleeping, but were too scared to approach the strange yet very threatening looking Pokémon. This continued until Axel finally allowed himself to sleep.
