Lake front Wilds. (a pokemon rp.)

When they got there, the first thing Sparkster saw was the Lucario holding onto Vincent. He recognized that Pokémon from somewhere, and he knew exactly who it was, but he didn't say anything about it right away. Sparkster heard Amy say that she had a lead on where her family might be, and so he was happy for her.

"That's awesome!" Sparkster said cheerfully. "but..." Sparkster sniffed. "I smell Axel's scent.. of course.. that doesn't mean we can't trust them. Axel wouldn't have any reason to send us on a wild Swanna chase like that."

the Lucario saw Sparkster and his jaw dropped, and dropped Vincent. "An Oposquire with Goggles?" He said. "Sparkster, is that you?"
"Hi Luke! I'm glad to see someone else made it out of that fire!" Sparkster smiled as he jumped down from Blake's back to greet Luke.
"I thought you were all gone..." the Lucario said. "I thought I had failed everyone!"

"Of course you didn't silly. You don't blame yourself for that fire do you?" Sparkster asked tilting his head a little. "It was a Trainer's Pokémon that started that, not you."
"... Either way.. I'm glad that you're alright.. are there others like you?" Luke asked.
"Yeah. Sherry has been with me all this time. Axel is around somewhere too." Sparkster replied.

Luke nodded. "So there's hope then... I take it you've been traveling with these two as well?"
"Yup! This is Amy and Blake." Sparkster replied.
"I see." Luke looked to the Absol and Mightyena. "I take it you are going with them to the mountains?"
"Yup. I made a promise that I'd help them find Amy's family."

"Hmmm... It will be a rough trek.. Perhaps I could be of assistance."

 

"Hey keep your sniffer to yourself, punk." Bellatrix hissed while Sparkster had sniffed. Whether or not he was close enough to even be considered of being too close, she still snapped at him. "So what? The guy didn't do anything. We just came across his group and stayed for a couple of moments and took off."

"Yeah we don't stay long. Bellatrix has little to no attention span when it comes to being stationary." Vincent snickered but stopped when the Zoroark glared at him. Right now, being stuck at the Lucario's side was beginning to feel a lot safer.

"Let go of him." Bellatrix demanded.

The Weavile didn't bother to wait longer, so he swiped at the Lucario's hands. Letting him drop to the ground. Despite him not being too far from the dirt, he still fell because he wasn't very graceful. Once he started to get up, Bellatrix grabbed his arm and yanked him over to her. "Jeeze! Easy on the pulling, you Hulk."

"Let's go. We don't need to bother with these people. They don't have anything good." Bellatrix started off.

"Wait. You sure they were up on the mountains?" Amy asked.

"They could be. That's where I saw them head off last time. Didn't get to have a cup of tea with them." Vincent said bitterly as Bellatrix continued to drag him. He really hated how she treated him sometimes. But he couldn't get the courage to just up and ditch her. Plus he didn't have the heart. Bellatrix, as tough as she was, would do something stupid and kill herself some how. So he had to be there, being the reasonable one--or semi-reasonable one, when he's not being a tough guy. "I guess we'll be smelling you later. Haha!"

Amy frowned. She really had more questions. "C-Cant you guys stay with us for a bit?"

"Amy what the hell?" Blake snapped at her. "Those two are nothing but a bunch of meddlesome troublemakers. We don't need them on our team."

"I know, but. . . "

"Not interested, kid." Bellatrix snorted.

". . . I just have so many questions. . ."

"Sucks for you." Bellatrix bitterly said as she dragged the Weavile away. As for him, he looked like he was scheming something.

"Come on guys. Let's just get back to camp. The others are probably freaking out about us not being there." Blake made a nod with his head. "I'm sure we'll see them again anyways."

"Okay. . . " Amy said with her head down. Though she did realize she didn't introduce herself to Luke. She stopped and turned to him. "Hello~ I am Amy." She gave him a quick smile before she returned to following Blake once more.

It took a bit, but the group made their way back to the camp site. Sherry was there, Ruford was probably still sleeping. But Amy and Blake noticed that there were new Pokémon there. A really pretty Lilligant, and two younger Pokémon, Vanillite and Elgyem. Blake growled at them but Amy brushed passed him and over to greet the new comers. This threw Blake off as he watched her curiously.

The Absol greeted them with a pleasant smile and tone. She was happy to see some newcomers. "Hello~ My name is Amy! It's a pleasure to meet you. Don't mind Blake, he's grumpy this morning." Blake let out an annoyed huff before Amy continued. "Just curious but are you guys lost?" She wanted to know. It was odd seeing that they were mysteriously here!

Blake shook his head and made his way over to the water, in hopes to find fish and eat it. He didn't want more berries again.

 

Sparkster and Luke of course went with Blake and Amy back to the Lake, where Sherry and the rest of the group were waiting for them.

"Sparkster there you all are!" Sherry said as she approached them, she looked up at the Lucario and smiled. "Luke? Is that you?"
"Hello Sherry, I'm glad to see you are well." Luke said with a grin.

Sherry looked over Luke and realized he looked a little different than she remembered.

"Luke...? Your spikes... what happened to them? they're blunted!" Sherry pointed out.
"Oh that... well.. it might be silly to you guys.. but.. I punished myself for letting the forest down.." Luke replied in shame.
"Let us down...?" Sparkster pouted. "but the fire wasn't even your fault."
"But I could save all of them.. hell.. I couldn't save ANY of them... I was too busy chasing down that Charmeleon..." Luke explained. "And so many innocent lives were lost because of it!"

"Luke..." Sherry pouted as well.
"So I blunted my own spikes so that when the time came, I would be able to feel as helpless as they all were..." Luke said.

 

Ruford woke with a yawn as the others returned back to them camp. He was oblivious to the commotion, but he did notice a newcomer with them! He hefted himself to his feet and waddled over with a yawn.

"Howdy there buddy! I'm Ruford! Nice to meet you! Where are you from? Are you gonna be traveling with us? Sure is nice to see a new face!" His familiar wide smile was plastered on his face.

A few more Pokémon wandered over to say hello and he turned on them and offered them his greeting as well, overwhelmed with the amount of new friends coming!

"Wow! Hello! Aren't you cute!" He cooed at Nilli and Marvin. "I'm Ruford! Wow! Nice to meet you! You're pretty! Yes! Very!" He grinned at the Lilligant shyly.

In the river that rushed beside the camp, a few ripples and splashes arose. A Swampert swam casually by, but the gathering of Pokémon on shore caught his eye and he made his way onto land. His wet skin gleamed in the sunlight. The shadow of this newcomer fell onto Ruford and he exclaimed at the presence. The Swampert's blue skin was littered with scars and he was missing an eye. He sure looked scary!

"Ah! H-hello there! Please don't eat me!" Ruford cowered. The Swampert bellowed a loud, friendly laugh.

"Eat you! No! I'm just here to say hello! The name's Ichabod! I was just swimming by and I saw all of you gathered here, and well, I thought there might be something interesting going on!" He smiled down at the group. "So, what is going on here? Did you find some sort of treasure or something?"

Ruford was relieved to find out that Ichabod wasn't looking for a fight.

"Well, I just woke up, myself! I don't know what brings us here! We just stopped here to sleep! I'm Ruford. The Absol is Amy, the Mightyena is Blake, and these two are Sparkster and Sherry!" He pointed accordingly. "I don't know who the rest of these Pokémon are, They just got here! What a surprise, waking up to so many new friends!" Ruford beamed, ecstatic.

 

Much to Lily's relief, the Pokémon at the camp seemed friendly! Just as she, Marvin and Nilli had arrived, another group had appeared.Some of them had obviously been to the camp before, but there was one newcomer with them. she could tell because a friendly Quagsire appeared greeting thew newcomer and asking if he was to be travelling with them. It made the Lilligant wonder what kind of Pokémon camp this was. Were they travellers? Were the circus Pokémon? It was an interesting and diverse group.

Before she knew it, the Quagsire had made his way over to her and the children. He seemed to be a slow but friendly fellow. He'd introduced himself as Ruford. "Thank you, mister!" Nilli squealed when the man said he was cute. He noticed his white paws. "Hey, did you tread in ice cream? Your paws are white!" He giggled, imaging a giant field of ice cream. It'd be fun to sled on! Marvin nodded to thank Ruford.

Lily gave a twinkling laugh and a light blush when Ruford complimented her. She wasn't used to compliments! "Oh, hehe. Thank you Ruford!" She looked around the camp. "Lovely camp you have.. do you all live here permenantly?" She wondered what so many different Pokémon were doing together in one place. But then again, she, Nilli and Marvin were an odd bunch too.

Waiting on Ruford's reply, Lily closed her eyes taking in the sunlight that was shining down on her. She smiled, swaying a bit and enjoying the warm feeling. But as soon as she began to warm, something blocked the sun. She turned to see a large, scarred Swampert. Marvin stared a little wide-eyed, while Nilli ducked for cover behind Lily. Ruford seemed quite afraid himself, seeing as how he yelled something along the lines of "please dont hurt me!"

The large Swampered bellowed a huge laugh, which allowed Lily to relax. He was obviously friendly as he introduced himself as Ichabod. Lily smiled and did a little curtsy at the scarred but handsome Swampert. "Nice to meet you, Ichabod. I'm Lily, and this is Nilli and Marvin."

Marvin stared at him curiously, wondering how tough the guy was, seeing as he had so many battle scars. He was even missing an eye. He nodded in hello, seeing as he didn't speak much. He itched to ask about his scars. He glanced around the group, finally giving out a small hello into all of their minds. Man, he wished he could speak clearer! "Hello Ruford and Ichabod. Pleased to meet you both."

Nilli floated up above Nilli's head, excited the newcomer was nice. "Hi! I'm Nilli. Those fins on your head kind of look like the spoony parts of spoons!" Lily gave a nervous laugh, hoping Ichabod wouldn't become offended. "Do you wiggle your butt like a shark when you swim?"

When Ichabod asked what they were gathering, Lily gave a little laugh. "Oh- I was collecting berries that grow by the water's edge. I live about an hour down from here." She pointed to the left of them. "Walk that way for about an hour and you'll find my little cottage. It's covered in flowers and such. I sell flowers and berries." She glanced at the camp. "Though, I am unsure about the rest of them.. I only just arrived here as you did."

 

"Hello." Sparkster said. "We're just travellers looking for places to call home." Sparkster looked around at all of the others. "Most of us have either lost our homes to human recklessness, or were separated from family and lost our way."

"So where did you guys run off to earlier?" Sherry asked Sparkster.
"Oh that." Sparkster said, just before giving her a big grin. "Amy finally got a lead to where we can find her parents!"
"Really!? That's great news!" Sherry chimed. "So where are they?"

"A Zoroark said that she saw a group of Absol heading for the mountains, so we're going to check there." Sparkster explained. "Luke said he'd help us out"
"If Sparkster plans on going with them, you will need it.. Oposquire are not designed for mountain climbing."
"heh heh... I guess that's true.." Sparkster laughed a little.

 

Amy pretty much pranced in place, excited over meeting new people. She hadn't met a Swampert before, nor the other kinds of Pokémon that stood before her. This was all too exciting. And it was a much better start than the previous day. She hoped that the day would continue being this great. The Absol turned to her friend, Blake and smiled to him.

"Well! Nice to meet you all! And Good Morning Sherry and Ruford! I hope you slept well." She chimed to them anyways. Blake seemed preoccupied with trying to catch a fish again. "I'm so excited that I finally have a lead to finding my parents--though I do hope that the Absol they saw, ARE my parents. Or if they aren't they know of them." She wrinkled her nose. Oh she hoped they weren't lying or they were the wrong ones. It would be so disappointing!

"You own a flower shop?" Amy said, turning to the Liligant. "That's so cool. Flowers are so pretty. There was this one time, Blake found a rose, and he placed it in my fur. He told me I looked cute!"

"Did not." He said as he swatted at the water, trying to fetch himself a fish. He was failing.

"He's such a bum. Anyways, so you were looking for berries? The ones that grow around here are the biggest I have ever seen!" She chimed. "And they're tasty! The actually did a good job healing up Blake, over there. He got messed up the other day and now he's walking around like an old man."

"So funny." He mumbled as he failed, yet again, to catch a fish. "Dang it Amy, come over here and help me get a fish. Please?" He's normally not this rude sounding. He was just getting frustrated with failing.

Amy trotted over to him and attempted to get him a fish so he would chill out. She swatted at the water a couple of times as Blake quietly watched her perform this skill. A couple missed swipes and then BAM! She got one and handed it over to her eager friend. "Have at it."

"Thanks!" Blake was so thrilled right now. It was almost like he was a pup being greeted by someone he hadn't seen in ages.

 

Ruford laughed and looked at his white paws. "Ice cream? I've never heard of ice cream! What is it? My paws have always been white! I've never thought about it!" He pondered, and shrugged it off with a laugh. "No, we don't live here permanently. We're just staying here for now. You see, it was raining and I found these fellers and brought them to a cave where it was dry! But some meanie broke the cave so we came here cuz it's nice. Flowers are nice too! I like them. Very pretty!"

He looked over at Marvin, startled at the response in his head. The little Elgyem seemed shy and reserved. "Gee! That's quite a skill you got there! You're very talented! Wow!" He grinned.

"Well what a coincidence! All of us meeting here like this out of the blue, don't know why." Ichabod chuckled and scratched his belly. "Maybe it was fate or destiny or whatever. If you believe in that." He shrugged. So you say you're not here for any particular reason, eh?"

"Well, I think we're trying to find Amy's parent's." Ruford pointed to the Absol as she splashed about in the river with Blake. "We don't have any clues though. I guess they're just sort of wandering? I've only been with them for a few days myself. You wouldn't have happened to see any Absol, would you?"

"No, not here at least. In Hoenn, where I came from, yes, but I don't think they're related in anyway. We're a long way from there. I've sort of been looking for my family as well, but not as actively as I used to be."

"No? Why not?"

"Well, she wasn't exactly family really, but when I was just a wee Mudkip, I got separated from my trainer. It's been years since then. If I haven't found her by now I don't think I ever will." He sighed, but quickly changed his attitude, puffing up his chest and heading over to the others to introduce himself.

"You're quite the fisher!" He said to Amy as he waded into the water. "The name's Ichabod. You're Amy, am I correct? What a lovely name for a lovely lady."

 

Fishing seemed to be so natural for Amy. She could catch them with such grace and simplicity, it made Blake jealous. All he could do was splash about like a little kid in a large puddle on the street. Maybe if he did that, a fish would flail out of the water and flop around on the ground for him? It was a likable thought but one that most likely would never happen. At least not to him. But he was happy that Amy was willing enough to catch some food for him. It was wonderful, being allowed to eat something that wasn't a berry or grassy substances.

Once Amy caught another fish, she handed it over to him. "Here you go Blake~" She chimed. Her fur was drenched but in the weather they have now, it felt nice. She heard someone walk over to her and she glanced up. It was Ichabod! She smiled to him as he complimented her fishing skills. "Why thank you! I learned from a huntress from Blake's pack! She was so awesome at catching things! I almost swore she wasn't a Mightyena!"

"Everyone thought she was crazy." Blake said while his mouth was full of food. It was so delicious! The tender flavor and the freshness! It was something to die for!

Amy's smile grew even brighter when her name was complimented! This guy was so dashing! "Aw thank you! I love your name too! It's so unique--kinda like you! I've never seen the kind of Pokémon you are, before. You look like you'd be an excellent swimmer!"

Blake glanced over at Amy and Ichabod. Was he trying to flirt with Amy???? He could feel jealousy grow over him but he tried to ignore it and focus on his food. Nope! He had no feelings for her. She was just that annoying girl he had to grow up with because she lost her family. Yep. No romantic feelings at all.

Amy parked herself near the water, continuing her conversation with Ichabod. "You said you're from Hoenn? I've never been there before. Were the other Absol nice? Or were they all angry and stuff? Some of Blake's pack told me that I was weird for an Absol. So I don't really understand where they're going at." She shrugged. "OH! Have you seen other Pokémon like you too? What are they like?!"

 

Meanwhile, Axel and his Posse were wandering around in search for food for themselves All of them looking out for their own tastes. They were all very far from their hide out, and and beyond the swamp.

Axel was standing on Rhydon's head as a mobile vantage point. while the other's walked.

"See anything Boss?" Rhydon asked. "We've been walking for hours.."

"Stop complaining Rhydon, We'll find something soon enough.. I hear flowing water.. Go to the left. There's bound to be something growing there." Axel said.

"Okay Boss." Rhydon said as he followed Axel's instructions and continued onwards, with the others following close behind.
