Staff Post Lake Valor Updates & Changes v2

September 24th

It's fall, and that means that Autumn Deerling is here! If you want to unlock a special medal, you'll need to collect one for each season, so get out there and find it! You have until December 21st.

This also means that currently, Summer Deerling is unavailable until 2019.

 

September 29th - Krabby's Beach Trainer Card!

A new Trainer Card design is in the LV Shop! This card is themed around Krabby's Beach from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

Spoiler

There's a catch, however! This Trainer Card is a limited stock design, there are only 5 in stock. Be sure to purchase whilst you still can. Once this item is gone, it will not be back for some time.

*This design is only available via the Shop.

Additionally, you may soon need a Trainer Card to enter and participate in some events. You'll need to show it off, like you would an ID Card! Don't worry though, this will only be for some certain events.

 

Support Hub Changes

• The above section has temporarily been made a subforum of the Info Desk to make room for the Oktoberfest Events section!
• Instead of headling these updates with the date they were made, we're now going to headline them with the main part of the update. The date can be seen in the bottom left corner of the post.

 

Section Updates

• Info Desk is now called News Desk (the section now mostly hosts news, rather than informative pages)
• Safari Zone is now Pokémon Catcher (for clarities sake)
• 3DS Pokémon Games has been deleted and merged into Other Pokémon Games. This will help users avoid making separate trips to discuss the games!

 

New Pokémon (And More!)

• Female Litleo is now available and can be evolved. Thanks @Morgaine for the suggestion!
• Female Hippopotas is now available and can be evolved. Thanks @Negative Zero for the suggestion!
• Alolan Pikachu is now available and can be evolved.
• Alolan Pokémon now appear in Switch Pokémon Games.

Expanded/Additional Rules:
Originally part of "Be respectful towards everyone." we have expanded upon this rule to add:

"No toxic behaviour.
Lake Valor is a positive, friendly community. If your behavior is toxic or otherwise harming the environment of Lake Valor, whether you're doing this on or off-site, action will be taken against your account."

Our respect rule has also been updated, for clarities sake:

"Be respectful towards everyone.
Absolutely no discrimination is allowed here - that includes discriminatory jokes, threats or personal insults directed towards users."

Our 13+ rule has also been expanded for clarity, thanks to your feedback:

"You must be 13 to have an account on Lake Valor.
This is due to the laws on COPPA, which you can learn more about here. Lake Valor is also a PG13 forum "

 

Premier Ball Debuts!

We've added a new bonus for new users - if you're level 1 (up until level 5) you can buy a Premier Ball, which is a slightly discounted PokéBall. We hope this will help new users get started at Lake Valor.
