I love looking at landscape paintings and just love the overall aesthetic of nature in art. How often do you guys draw only nature/landscapes? I've only really done this in art classes when learning about painting techniques and all that jazz. But it was a lot of fun! I'd really love to follow a Bob Ross video one day to see if I could emulate something like he makes.
I’ve actually done quite a lot recently. Here are a few: (EDIT: Apparently the images couldn’t load on my phone. I’ll put them on later.) I’m currently working on one more, which is kinda a mixture between the first and second.
Not often but man I do love drawing certain types. Trees and leaves are some of my absolute favorite things to draw....despite how rarely I do it. Would like to improve my skills with drawing water/oceans/seas at some point, since that is also very fun. ♡
I suck at drawing backgrounds/naturey stuff One of the things I'm really trying to improve on, but it is an uphill battle >_>
I LOVE drawing trees, especially palm trees. I quite often doodle them on random bits of paper that I find, or in notebooks I have. Flowers are fun to draw also! I sorta suck at mountains and hills, but not as much as I suck at drawing buildings and people. Haha
I'm so bad at nature, I often stick to just sketches, and the occasional color sketch. I mean, I love them, and I'll be taking an art class as soon as possible to learn more, but I'm no good at them. Maybe one day, but right now, I need to get shapes and sketches down.
I mostly draw characters, so I struggle with things like landscapes. I've been trying to improve with my backgrounds and stuff, though.
