What languages do you guys speak? Can you read/write it better than English or any other language? How did you learn that language, and for those who aren’t native English speakers, how did you learn English? *Bonus- which language do you think in?
I speak Dutch as my first language, but by now my English is about on the same level if I do say so myself xD I think in both too. Besides them I speak a few words: German, French, Latin and Japanese... though none good enough to actually have a conversation or anything like that
English is my core language, but I did learn some French back in middle school and relearned it more on my trip to France. However, currently, my French is very rusty.
My native language is English (namely American, although I know a few British terms and spellings), I took 2 years of Spanish (its gotten rusty) and I'm interested in learning Japanese and want to get back into Spanish as well. I think in English, but some Spanish and Japanese has popped up in my dreams before!
My native language is English, though I do know a good amount of Japanese as I studied it for a few years. Outside of that I know about 5 programming languages pretty well, and another 10 to a lesser extent!
Spanish was supposed to be my core language. But due to some minor inconvenience, I mannaged to learn english a lot easier than spanish. I personally find it funny that my english if better than my spanish.
I mainly speak English (with Southern Slang), but I am taking a Spanish class right now. (Not good enough to have a long conversation with)
I speak English as my primary language, but I also know a little Japanese and I can still read Spanish decently from when I took Spanish classes forever ago. I'm better at reading Spanish than speaking it though. Probably the same for Japanese, but it takes me a little longer since the alphabet's different.
My primary language is English. I can speak a smattering (at best) of Spanish, Hebrew, and Japanese as well, but primarily just expressions - no convos to be had here.
I only speak English. I had to learn French in high school (it was a compulsory subject), and I not only hated it, but sucked at it as well. To be honest that experience has kinda put me off from learning other languages.
English is my first language, and the only one I can speak fluently. I do know minimal French as I've been taking a French class for the past three years but I don't think I could hold a conversation with a native speaker, haha. The only other language I know (if you can even count this) is random words in Japanese lol. I do plan to try and learn a bit of Japanese over the summer though so maybe that will change?
i normally speak english and chinese! i’d speak japanese too, but pretty much nobody can understand irl i think in a mix of all three though!
My native tongue is American English, though I took Spanish classes for a few years in middle and high school. I live in a state with a very high Spanish-speaking population, but I'm unfortunately pretty rusty now. ;; Though even at the height of my studies, I've never been able to speak enough of another language to hold a conversation.
I'm originally Dutch, but English has been the language I think and speak in the majority of the time for years (getting the highest degree certificate next year, finally). I also speak limited French, Germen, Latin, Greek, and Japanese.
I primarily speak English, but I do understand and speak elementary Vietnamese. I can also somewhat comprehend a very very very small amount of Spanish.
