What language(s) can you speak, and how proficient are you in it/them in terms of writing, speaking, comprehending, and reading? Have you thought about learning a new language or two, or are currently learning any? If so, which?

English is my first language, I can read and write in it very well. I learnt French for a while and I'm semi-fluent, although I need to practice my skills as I am getting rusty.

I want to learn Japanese as a language. And no, it's not just because of anime, I like Japanese culture and reading about Japanese history and folklore as well. I want to learn enough so someday (After I do a trip to France for a bit) I can go on a trip to Japan and not feel like an idiot.

Having a really big English vocabulary, I'm quite a grammar Nazi at times. Along with English, I can speak my country tongue, Tagalog. I'm so-so with Chinese, as I can speak more Fukien than Mandarin but find it easier to write Chinese using the Mandarin dialect. I'm also interested in the German language and am trying to learn it.

I do have a knack for mimicking accents though.

At present the only language I can speak proficiently is English. I do not know any others because I tend to have the same mentality - learning a new language would be nice, but I would find no practical use for it.

While going through high school I took a bit of Spanish (because I had to, not because I wanted to), and though I don't remember all of it, I remember enough to actually know and recognize Spanish words and sentence structure.

I am considering learning German, though, as my pastor once lived in Switzerland for a number of years and is fluent in the language. Of course, that 'consideration' has to become stronger until it is an actual 'want' before I am to get anywhere.

I'm honestly not sure which my first language is. I grew up with my parents teaching me Filipino and English at the same time. So yeah, I'm pretty fluent with both of those languages. I'm interested in learning East Asian languages such as Japanese and Korean. My mom's fluent in both French and Spanish so I'm also learning bit by bit from her. It's tough but I'm sure it's going to be rewarding.

I used to be semi-solid with the German language when I was in high school (Freshman year), but over the years, so much has slipped from me. My own fault for not practicing it on a consistent basis.

If there's any new languages I would like to learn and adapt to, it'd have to be Italian, since that's where half my ancestors come from. I'd like to re-learn a lot of my lost German as well.

Gah, I know so many languages, but in reality, they're the same thing, just called 5 other things. I know Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and English. I'm most fluent in English and Old Arabic. As for my pronunciations for Urdu, it's beyond off, and I'm terrible at it. I used to know all the pronunciations though~! I'm learning Spanish as of this post, and I was taught Latin (I don't remember most of it, haha) and "Old Arabic" when I was younger.. I want to learn French (Although I know a very little bit) German, Russian, Japanese, and Polish one day though!

As for me, I am most proficient in English, decently proficient in Malay (which everyone in my country has to be in order to communicate efficiently), and have a basic grasp of Chinese and Japanese. I'd love to continue on with improving my Japanese sometime soon by perhaps actually living in Japan for an extended period of time where I would have to pick up the language to survive. I'd also like to learn some Spanish and maybe some French and German if possible, although I'm not sure on how to do that as I don't think there are many places/people I know that teach these languages.

I can fluently speak English and Russian! Was born in Russia and moved to NY when I was 7 or 8 so I naturally know both. Parents speak Russian at home and I speak English mostly everywhere else. But I never write or read in Russian anymore so I'm quite rusty at that, especially writing lol. ;_; Can read it but very slowly.

Guess you can say I also know minor French from taking it for three semesters in uni? Except I need immersion to properly memorize these things so it went in one ear and out the other haha. Can hardly hold a conversation if at all.

    I know 3 languages!
My first language is Vietnamese, but I'm better at speaking than writing/reading it. I understand the basic concepts and I can read basic things from context clues. Understanding and speaking is way easier for me in Viet. It's pretty useful though since there's a bunch of Viet-subbed entertainment online.

My second language is English, and the language I'm more advanced in. Grammar-wise and speaking-wise, it's the language I'm most comfortable with and able to understand more. Maybe since I've been speaking it for more than a decade now and English is a mandatory class.

My third language is Spanish, which I'm still a beginner at. I can say and write basic Spanish sentences such as "Hola. Me llamo LostSpirit. Me gusta mucho lago de Valor." Pero, other than that, my Spanish is pretty broken.
