No abnormal effects here, although I found the theme a tiny bit creepy when I was a little kid but that could be because of the what the city itself is, a graveyard city. The them no longer creeps me out and I like a lot more now. As for the syndrome I don't believe in it, the creepypasta wasn't even creepy at all imo.

The theme music was specifically composed to be creepy, as I understand, so if it's making your spine crawl then it's doing its job. The place always creeped me out as a kid (hell, now) because of all the possessed channelers screaming for your blood and soul, the ghosts that your Pokémon are too frightened to fight, and that creepy lil girl who asks if you believe in ghosts and if you say "no" responds "Oh... I guess that white hand on your shoulder must be my imagination..."
When I was a kid, I actually looked over my shoulder because I thought something was there...

It's just another creepypasta. Tbh, I never knew about the whole Lavender Theme causing people to have "symptoms" until I entered the realm of the internet, though the music is creepy. I really like the concept of Lavender Town though it was pretty dark. It really made me think about how Pokémon CAN die, and how it had such an effect on people. Lavender Town is really twisted with ghosts appearing and possessed priestesses, it just makes me love the town more and more.

I don't know. Have you ever listened to the Japanese version? Very disturbing. I know when I plug in my ear buds/headphones whatever you want to call them, I get major headaches. It really hurts and I feel depressed.
Maybe that is just me, but I love Lavender Town. Anyways, the theme is amazing, and easily the most creepiest song in Pokémon.

I've never experienced this 'syndrome' before lol. As far as I remember, younger me surprisingly wasn't that creeped out or affected by the music. Perhaps this was due to me turning the volume down most of the time out of habit whenever I play the game haha. About children getting headaches and/or killing themselves after listening to it... I don't really have much say on this. The high-pitched whiny noise might have been unsettling to some sensitive ears...or something. I don't know. It's unsettling, but so far it's a mystery..

The Lavender town music is just mysterious yet cool. It definitely fits the town with the graveyard tower(or Pokémon tower) and the gloominess that is Lavender town.
