Least Favorite Character?

Don't really have a least fav character. Everyone in XY seemed to be...meh..Teirno for example was just "there" he did a dance and said some words and we moved on.. Only ppl with interesting personalities were Lysandre and Sycamore imo.

 

The problem with X&Y was that there were too many characters who joined you, and I don't know why they did that. One is great, two is okay, but after that, you can't avoid making your characters kind of basic and lame... I mean, Serena is your classic rival, which is fine. Trevor is the smart kid, okay, understandable. Tierno is a guy who just likes to dance, so why does he go on a Pokémon journey? And Shauna is... Eh... Wait, what exactly is her motive for going on a Pokémon journey? She just wants to get romantic with you, I guess that's all...

If they'd just keep the characters to one or two, they could give those characters more depth. I'd rather have a few friends with a story around them, then a lot of friends, without a story.

 

Tierno, he was getting on my nerves with all that dancing and carrying on.

 

This is pretty much it for me too. That one kid that Tierno hung around with (think the name was Trevor, but I'm not 100% on that) was almost as bad, but at least with him he just asked about your Poke'Dex real quick then was done. Tierno had to make a comment about dancing, battle you, then make another comment about dancing before finally leaving.

 

Tierno was annoying, but I honestly have to say Lysandre. That flaming red hair and beard... *shudders* that was just a little too much for me.

 

AS many above have said, I dislike Tierno and Trevor, I personally feel they could be entirely replaced with some generic NPC and X and Y would be entirely unchanged. I also hated the Guy who owns the mansion that you have to go through to get the pokeflute. Firstly he came off kinda rude inregards to that fighter guy, and I just thought he was a pointless detour and weirdo that we had to put up with. I definitely would've liked it better if the first encounter with team flare was in this guy's mansion and you had to save him and get the pokeflute instead of find his stupid furfrau... Also didn't like the Fire Member of the Elite 4(Forgot her name....) I dunno, maybe thats just the point of her character, But I really didn't like it when she said she wanted to burn me alive, ESPECIALLY after I beat her ENITRE team with like, one water Pokémon....

 

Tierno, too much dancing, not enough battling. Trevor was at least useful at first, since he gave you the Pokédex.

 

Shauna. Blandest character there, at least Tierno has a motive. She's just like "I've never seen Fireworks with a boy before" and does nothing else apart from obtain a hacked Goodra. And her design, no way. What's with those shorts man?

 

I have to agree with everyone else saying Tierno. His inclusion in the group makes no sense. Also I don't like his design. A Vanillite shirt on the fat kid? He'll fit right in with all the kids who wear the 'You're stupid for reading this shirt' shirts.

 

All the characters in XY made me go "Bleh". And that's bad, considering I always like/love Pokémon characters...:/

Tierno, like everyone else, for obvious reasons. Trevor was "meh" as well, and what about Shauna? Most useless character ever...:/

They gave us waaay too many (useless) friends haha! That was kind of heavy and useless actually. I enjoy my journey traveling alone...even though it was fun to have two interesting friends in Cheren and Bianca in BW.

But yeah, gotta go with Tierno. And Trevor. And I would like Lysandre more if his motives weren't so much out of the blue. That would have been nice if we hear his genocide speech right from the beginning (or right up to gym 4-5 or something). The whole Team Flare plot just...came out too late in the game. At least, in RSE, we knew Team Aqua and Magma plans right from the beginning and it gave a nice dynamic~ uvu

 

Shauna.

I just really despise her, mostly because she flat out states that she's only on the journey just for the memories. Really, now? . _ .
Also being, imo, a forced love interest since the fireworks. ಠ_ಠ

Also, why in Arceus' name does she have the most shortest shorts in the universe? x'D
They barely do justice! xD

I never had so much hate for a rival.
Heck, Barry's better than her any day. xD

 

Gonna have to agree with @[member="Sushirolled"]. Shauna was the worst. Like okay, you get the child of her starter after you beat the game. Whatever. She was absolutely useless, and it pissed me off to no end when Calem and I were going through the hallway to reach the legendary and battling people, and she didn't heal my Pokémon. Also all she's good for is distracting Team Flare by running away. You're a Pokémon trainer, friggin' act like it.

 

While I can't completely disagree with you on the point that Shauna was a pretty useless character, I can understand why you would want to go on a Pokémon journey, just for the memories. I mean, you'll be guaranteed to have some great memories after such a journey...

Tierno on the other hand, he followed you on your journey because... Eh... Yeah...

I can agree though, he gives you heart scales in post game, but if you take that away, then he's completely useless.

 

I'll have to agree with you on that, though.
Some of the events in Pokémon games are very much worth witnessing.
Actually, now I cut her a tiny bit of slack. I can see where's she's coming from. ...I still dislike her though. xD

Dancing. x'D
He should have belonged with that dance team in Pokémon BW2, I think, at the center of Castelia City. He would have fit in just fine. xD

 

Luvdisc is an easier way to get Heart Scales, so to some people he already is useless. xD

 

Totally agree with this. As soon as I saw all those people sitting at the table I was thinking,
"...Really? Why?"
You don't even get to name any of these 'rivals'. Even your main competitive rival is boring and is just another guy to battle.

Malva. She's the most un-likeable character I've ever seen - she insults you for no reason and even with that she is not satisfying to beat as she actually continues to insult and threaten you. Even her little part in Looker's Quest doesn't really redeem her and she always comes off as more of a bitch than a powerful E4 member.

 

Shauna, I can't help but compare her to Navi from Ledgend of Zelda

 

idk I don't even like much of the character to begin with buut if I had to choose then it would be Shauna and Trevor. They didn't do anything important or plot-relevant. Yeah, maybe Shauna was there when Calem and Serena were trying to release Yveltal/Xerneas but Trevor was just...there. He didn't help or anything, he's just another character who's really into completing the Pokédex.
