Legendary Birds in X&Y

I had Moltres and I caught it, although I forgot how it went

 

I had moltres in my game! I was really annoyed that you couldn't even fight the birds and had to chase them around the region. It was really tedious imo, but I caught it nevertheless. However, I wish I could have caught Articuno instead since I like the design better.

 

You can't say it's tedious until you SR for a 5IV Modest HP Ice Zapdos in a Pokéball. :^)))))))

 

I got Zapdos *yaaaay*... I really wanted Articuno though, but whatever :| I honestly didn't even know what was going on with the roaming legendaries, and when I went to the cave after a while, it just randomly appeared xD It was a bit confusing, but I caught it, and I suppose I traded it away for other legendaries to fill my dex.

 

I had Moltres, and it took me forever to catch the jerk with a good nature. Doesn't have the best stats though, but at that point I didn't care out of frustration. In my restarted Y game I'll have Articuno, so looking forward to *trying* to get good nature AND stats for it.

 

I haven't caught mine because when: I first had the chance I went for the bird (it was moltres) and got frustrated for this being legendary beasts 2.0,then I just gave up,i wasn't doing it for such a lower reward than your time getting it (at least for me)

 

I chose Chespin so Articuno was my pretty 'lil bird. <3 It took a little while to encounter it enough for the real battle where I can attack and chuck pokeballs to my heart's content but I don't recall it taking too long. Only soft reset once or so, iirc, when I ran out of balls to use on it? Definitely not as tedious as past legendary captures. Whew!

 

When I failed to get a Timid Zapdos, even with a Syncher, I just quit haha. I don't have the patience to SR for good IVs or anything.

 

I got Zapdos as my legendary bird. SR'ed until I get HP Ice and Bold nature. I got one question, can the legendary birds be shiny (assuming you met them the first time as shiny) or they're shiny locked like X,Y,Z legendaries?

 

They were to annoying for me to encounter so many times, so I gave up on them. I never have liked or do like the generation legendary birds in game anyways. Since they were never really competitively viable, except Zapdos, whom I could not get.

 

I' love to have Articuno, probably because I have a figure of it, but I'd be fine with any of them. I don't like the sound of the process on catching them though... yikes...

 

I always hated runaway Pokémon but after figuring out how to actually capture these guys it became rather easy for me. I have Zapdos on my Y game. It was fun trying to run around a certain amount of times in order to send Zapdos to that one cave in the Kalos region. Zapdos isn't my favorite legendary bird out of all three of them so I'm hoping that I'll capture Articuno in X after I restart the game. I forgot what Pokéball I used on Zapdos I think it was a Pokéball.

 

It was far too tedious for me to waste my time on legendary Pokémon that aren't even that good. I would've had Articuno if I had tried, however.

 

I only pursued and captured Zapdos in Y, and even then that was in my first file. I like Battery Jesus, but was a pain in the ass having to fly all over to find it, only for it to run away and eventually end up in a cavern. Also would've preferred Articuno because I like its design and typing better, but I'm not a fan of Chespin :c

 

I have a Moltres. Don't get me wrong; Moltres is amazing! But I wish I could have gotten Zapdos, which is my favourite legendary bird.

 

I didn't bother to chase them all the way across the region because I already had some of the birds for competitive battling from previous generations.

 

I had Zapdos in mine, but I still haven't caught it yet, haha. I chased it to the cave where you can fight it, but I never actually went there to catch it. I was too busy breeding and catching shinies to bother at the time, I guess!
