Where else would you turn to do your design/drawing (assuming you already use Photoshop!)? Are there any other programs that strike your fancy?

Assuming I get my money back, Definitely paint tool sai, but if you don't, GIMP.

I don't really have photoshop; so, this wouldn't do much damage to me even though I plan to get it someday =P. The only art programs I do use is: Microsoft Paint, Paint.Net, & GIMP. Microsoft Paint & Paint.Net are mostly used for sketches, line rating my hand-made drawings, and the basic colors. For GIMP, that's where I do the shadows and the background of my characters.

I'd probably resort to GIMP. It's a pretty simple tool. I just wish there was more guides available online. If Photoshop stopped working, it would be a decent option. It's just harder to get certain effects.

I don't have Photoshop so I'd just stick to GIMP and Pixlr depending on the type of digital art I'm doing. If I couldn't use those two, I'd probably resort to Ipiccy or some other form of online image editor that isn't as efficient but still can result in a "decent" outcome.

I'm not interested in Photoshop, because I already have Manga Studio 5, though I haven't used it yet. I mainly stick to Colors! 3D on the 3DS since I only have time for that.

Otherwise, I will not be affected at all since I mainly draw traditionally (and I paint!), and it would be better for my eyes if I stick away from electronics! But I will miss seeing other people's works who DO use Photoshop.

Luckily, there are substitutes for most things, and if not, the market evolves so there is a replacement (economics lesson yay!) I've used both GIMP and Photoshop, and to be fully honest, I think I prefer GIMP. I think that Photoshop is a lot easier when trying to crop photos, insert pictures, etc., but GIMP overall is just better in my opinion. The floating windows can be kind of a nuisance, but I don't mind because it's still a good program. Even if GIMP wasn't available, I'd still try and find some program where I could edit my signatures and pictures.

Definitely Gimp or Pixlr. I used Gimp prior to PS so I have experience with its interface. While it may not be able to do all the things PS can, quite a few techniques can be emulated if you know how to pull it off. Pixlr, of course, is browser-based, so I'd be able to access it at any point. It's a decent PS sub if you don't need to make too many changes to an image.

GIMP is stupidly confusing to use without a few 30 minute tutorials while photoshop can be learned in minutes. If photoshop wasn't a thing I would probably use; Krita paint app, which has more of a Photoshop outcome for pictures and Paint.net for simplistic tracing and drawing in general.
