Lining and inking are both terms in the art community about digital art and traditional art in regards to the lineart of a piece. How do you guys prefer to line? Do you like a thicker outline or a thinner one?

I've pretty much moved on to lineless art, but on the rare occasion I do line a piece, I always prefer thick, bold lines. It looks better in my style than thing lines. Brings out the cute.

I prefer thin lines. Can't really get a whole lot of detail when the lines are too thick.

I generally use thinner lines. I never really thought about why I use that line thickness, but reading Ridlins' post I suppose it's for the same reason.

I love to use really thick lines for my lineart because my art style is partially influenced by older cartoons with bold thick outlines. I don't really see art styles that use thicker lines so it also helps my style be a bit more recognizable?? Plus my style is supposed to be really simple so in regards to that post a few up it's not in my interest to shove little details in. idk really i just love thick lines that's the tea

I'm not sure, I use a sharp pen in digital art, so it works with pressure. The thickness of the line will vary, but I usually work with the pen size of 10 pixels.
