They say it's different seeing it at the cinema, but have you ever seen a live stage play or musical? How about an opera or operetta? Did you enjoy the experience, or was it something you could have done without? Is there anything you would like to see live?
I’ve seen a Broadway performance of “Wicked” in New York, a 70’s themed concert on a cruise ship, and a musical play at a local theater. All three varied quite a bit in budget, but they were the most fun I’ve had. The 1-take nature of these kinds of shows makes every performance different from the last. I also noticed that every performer seemed to have much more fun doing their parts compared to prerecorded actors. They seemed to love what they were doing and it infected the audience.
Went to a metallica concert when I was 21! I wore the shirt I bought all the time till it fell apart lol
I love live theatre! I ́ve seen five different productions of Les Miz. The latest was at The Fox Theatre and it was fancy! I mostly go to the local community theatres but I will be willing to travel if I love the show. The best part of live theatre is that every production is different, even just ever so slightly. Which brings a freshness to the stage that I enjoy immensely. I ́ve seen A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Man of La Mancha, Les Miz (5 times!), The Crucible, My Three Angels, To Kill a Mockingbird, Sound of Music, Second Samuel, Big River, Wedding from Hell, The Snow Queen, Annie, Suessusical, and Joesph and the Amazing Technicolored Dream-coat (3 times). ...So, I may have a slight love for the preforming arts and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to see a live performance at least once in their life. It ́s an amazing experience! Movies can also have that same energy but for me, it feels more real to see it live.
I live seeing live shows. I love musical theater, and it just feels so much more magical when it's seen in person. I've seen amateur productions, semi-professional productions, and broadway level professional shows, and I loved all of them. I don't think I'll ever see a production that I straight up don't like (though I may criticize some elements here or there). As for a show that I would like to see live...hm...for some reason the show coming to my mind is Cats. I've seen the movie a number of times, and really love the dancing, but I think the dancing will seem even more incredible live.
