Hey guys. Have you ever had the feeling that Pokémon is getting boring because it's a very redundant game? I feel this way right now, and i'm reluctant to play Pokémon Black and Pokémon Online.

I have these feelings of boredom every year, and once I get them, I forget about Pokémon. This happened last year, but I gained my interest in Pokémon when I received an email from Lake Valor.

I hope my lack of interest go away, but I can't avoid the fact that Pokémon is repetitive.

Do you guys get the same feelings? If so, what do you guys do to still have interest in Pokémon?

Well every now and then I take a good old break from Pokémon, play some other games. Right now I'm playing a lot of PC games and haven't played Pokémon in 2 months mostly because I know for Christmas I'm getting White 2! That way when I get the game I don't feel like its the same old. And when I am playing Pokémon I try to play other games too!

I play all my games over and over again until a new one comes out, where some people may find that frustrating and repetitive, it's so much fun for me to play through the games multiple times with completely different teams. I also hate buying games that, once I complete, I never play again so I try to play all of my games every now and then. Doing this actually makes playing the new games more amazing because it's different from what i'm used to.

I got this feeling after completing Gold version to the extent I didn't play Pokémon for many years. These days though I don't really feel that way, at least not yet with Black 2. I dropped White version after beating it before getting everything I could in the game, but mostly because I knew there was now a new one to worry about . When that does happen I simply stop for a while and take a break from it, bu I doubt I will spend years away from it again like I once did.

I've taken a few breaks from Pokémon a couple of times. Mainly because I find another game to play. But I always seem to gravitate back to it. I love games that have good replay value. For some reason, Pokémon seems to have a good one. More areas to explore and items to collect xD I beat Red a long while ago, but I still pick it back up and play it on ocassion. Kinda goes for all the other ones too~ But in truth, it is very nice that they added a storyline along the black and white series despite me not being crazy for 90% of the Pokémon they created lol.

I've played every main game from Blue to White 2--but I mix in plenty of other games too

I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to get bored of my W2. Maybe it's because I don't have anything else to do besides completing the Pokédex and get my Subway trophies. I might have to take a little break from Pokémon, like I always do after playing a new Pokémon game for 2 months straight.

When I got bored of games I play a different one
    lol

I got bored of Black2, so I played FireRed, but when I completed that I went onto Emerald. When I finish that I guess i'll go back to B2.

I Agree in a way. There is a time of the year when you have beaten every game, battling is becoming the same, and every new game might even seem the same. But, I suggest playing the other Pokémon titles other than the main rpg like mystery dungeon and PBR and Pokémon Conquest if this doesn't help then watch the anime, the show always helps boost interest in stuff

Pokémon, to me at least, is a game you have to drop every once in a while and then later you can pick it back up. Otherwise I end up playing without really enjoying it and more of a "I GOTTA COMPLETE THIS GAME" thing and... ugh. So I stop playing for two or three months and then I suddenly feel like playing again and do so for three to five months :P So yeah...

I liked Pokémon since it first aired in the usa so it's been a while xD But I still played the games on and off through out the years. They never get old for me since I always change up my teams and such. It just depends on when I want to play them. Usually when I'm bored or having nothing to do.

I started gaining interest again when I decided to create a Pokémon graphic site. So I've been really into Pokémon since xD

i've been playing Pokémon since i was about 6 or 7 (so nearly 15 or so years now!) and yes, i do find it gets stale after a while so i'll end up taking a break. sometimes a few months, sometimes a whole year! but i always end up craving them battles and Pokémon and come back to it. another thing that really helps is that with every new game they add stuff to keep it fresh and interesting. and there's so much customization when i comes to team building and oter stuff, so there's always different stuff to do. i haven't called Pokémon the perfect game before for no reason! lol

I get bored of playing the same game for a long time. What I like to do is trade my Pokémon over to Pokémon Black and start over Black 2! It seems like a different game because it's been a long time since I played through the story.
That or play Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness again. :P
I can't wait for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates of Infinity or whatever it's name is. :3

Oh god, I've been playing Pokémon for as long as I can remember. I don't really get bored of it, but I sometimes take a break from playing the games to play other video games I like, or read books/do other things. What keeps my interest in Pokémon for me is the many designs and characters, since I love to draw them all. I doubt I'll ever truly get tired of them!

It does seem like they're having a hard time coming up with new ideas. Tho I haven't played White 2 much simply because I don't have enough time. Lately, when my interest jumps towards Pokémon, it's leaning to developing the Tabletop RPG for it. Not that I have a lot of time for that too; working 8 hours a day + a 2-hour-drive to-and-fro work tend to leave you with very little time.

    I've never been bored of Pokémon until the GEN V came along, to be honest. I've ragequitted a couple of times, yes, but boredom that leads me to stop playing only happened when I was playing Pokémon White, and White 2. Now neither of the games are completed and I moved on to re-doing my FireRed from scratch because of boredom ^^;;

While my interest in the actual games slows down, my interest in Pokémon never stops. I take a really long time to play through new games, but I often go back to the older games I have nostalgia with and play through them relatively quickly. But I always draw Pokémon fanart and am involved with Pokémon fandom online.

Sounds crazy but when I was young, there were the only friends I had...
And even when I don't like every generation I always looking forward to new games or something like that
