    I agree. It doesn't make sense to level up 4 skills with 1 point. I've modified the skillset again. Generally, where I distribute skill points to Robin's Summoning, they will be passed onto Minerva. So instead of Minerva having gradually upgrade her skills, she'll just get them all in one basket at Level 3. Call it an investment, if you will. I've also added Tailwind as a Level 5 skill in case Robin wants to go full support mode.

    Also! If I invest two points into a given skill, when does that skill level up? I'm still trying to make sense of it.

    I'm curious too! Wonder how much Fire Emblem you could get.

    ...I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking. It's one point per skill level, but right now you're limited to needing to have one level 1 skill. And for any new spell you need, you must have another spell of the same school that is one level below at least.

    You don't really level up a spell school, that's WAY too general. Just one spell at a time.

    Any spell you add can be leveled up to 6 using one level for one point, so the maximum of level 6 spells you can have is 6 with one level 4 spell left over.

    Some skills I consider high enough that you must start them off at a high level. To do that, you need to meet all other requirements, or nerf the skill into something lower.

    Also, a proposed edit for Minerva's level ups. I'm not saying you need her to stop at 5, I'm saying her "regular" form might need to start at 3.

    For scaling, I would actually move both her Whirlwind and Tailwind to level 6, and Robin would have to pick between which one to use. For her Level 5 I would upgrade her Surveillance to a completely accurate map ahead/let Robin see through her vision like a drone, which to me seems like a fair enough "final" for her Surveillance skill seeing as 6 is more combat related.

    As I've mentioned before, a single Construct is like a single spell, it's only supposed to specialize in one thing. So in this case it would hard focus on Minerva's scanning abilities, while the other levels add in sort of supports, while 6 would be her once in a while skill. For balance's sake (and for sake of not overlapping with others too much)

    I may force Robin to pick only one in a fight - either he can go defensive with the Whirlwinds or push the offensive with Tailwind, and I might have to nerf rerolls to only be attack rerolls, dodge rerolls, etc - just pick one. RNG manipulation is stronger than a big storm when you talk to the DM, since I'm adjusting your success to the level.

    Ah. I understand what you mean by the skills now. I thought that we were limited in the sense that we couldn't level up to a Level 6 spell right away. But then again, that may be a waste of initial points.

    And yup, I get what you mean by her true form at level 3. I've also factored in your Minerva scaling too and edited accordingly. I've actually played an old RPG before that forces you to either have a DPS, tank, or support ultimate ability - and you only have enough skill points to choose one. Minerva would obviously be in the same position.

    For some reason your level 4 Terraforming spell (specifically the barrier one) reminds me of Arenite Wall...

    Okay, uhh, big ping because this is big thing.

    @122 Generation @Jupjami (Saf you're already here lol) @WavePearl @ID Zeta

    I'm NOT vetoing splitting up the party - I can probably make it work, plot-wise, but here's the thing - Jared and Trav aren't DMPCs, they weren't really meant to stick with the party. I was balancing around the five of you fighting together as a team. At least starting out that is.

    So if you decide to split and stick with them, I would have to re-balance quite a bit or figure out ways to conveniently write them off for the first few fights.

    I will also give you a minor spoiler, which is : + - there may be more options to split the party for even more interesting reasons in the future. And the Fire Emblem spoiler, I'll just say: "FE3H". From what little I know of the game that is.

    So yeah. Uh. I was fully intending on the 5-2 split, but if you guys can sell me on the other option, go ahead!

    I have no qualms with Option A, but I'll roll with Option B if that's how you've planned the story to work.

    I suppose I misunderstood that we were supposed to split into groups... or is that only for the private rooms thing?

    I have no problem sticking as one group - I'm actually for the idea - but if a party is supposed to have a maximum of five members, then the party will need to plead with the guild for some exceptions.

    If the 5-2 split was intentional, I have no objections to that either. Whichever works best for your plan.

    The plan was you five would be one party (Elio-Ando-Wakeng-Kanaru-Robin), Jared and Trav would be another. Harvin did say you are allowed to band together on jobs as well.

    Sorry not sorry double posting continues I have things to ask.

    @122 Generation @WavePearl @SAF @ID Zeta @Jupjami

    Most of y'alls characters are resting after the whole debacle, which means most likely a timeskip might happen. (Jup I know you're looking for sewing supplies but you will get them during timeskip).

    Kanaru did accept Jared's offer of a meal together, and that's my next stop on the plan, but I am flexible on where it need be. So please vote for which option you think will be best:

    1. Timeskip to evening - you rest through afternoon, meet Jared for dinner, pick up supplies when you return, then that will timeskip to next important day

    2. Timeskip to night - your supplies are delivered with you in the room, you sleep through the night, and the next day you meet Jared for lunch

    Don't think so. Choco said you'll get your sewing kit during timeskip, so you'll get it off-screen.

    As for when and how the timeskip should happen, I can go either way.

    I lean to the first option. This would be a great way for everyone to know each other more. (And possibly give Robin ammunition to write in his support log)

    All right, so uh, as I announced on Discord, I think I have some final "story spoilers". Just a heads up for what you will/may encounter, and some major themes.

    One Major Subplot
    I currently have one subplot planned that's tangentially related to the main plot. They will both be progressing at the same time, although this one is optional/mostly in the background.

    Some Characters May Die
    I warned this before. And now that I've further planned most things out, I can name some NPCs who are not safe from death at the moment. I won't spoil anything because I don't want to give away huge bits of the plot, but... yeah.

    Fire Emblem Three Houses
    Fire Emblem Three Houses. I will not elaborate

    Main Plot has Major Mystery
    That's... yeah. Main story. There will be mysteries, and I can say that pretty much all questions will be answered before RP endgame, but I will try and drop hints in narration and foreshadow without warning. Some people will know more than others, and I'll always allow you to try and pry as much as you want. But be careful, because...

    NPCs Are Not Always On Your Side
    "Be careful who you believe, and who you can trust / Friend or foe, would they deceive to do what they must?"
    That is a lyric from an Avatar TLA fan musical that rings pretty true. Of course it's all friendly and upbeat right now, but I will tell you - much more than magic, secrets are the strongest weapons in Juayang during the story. Characters won't always tell you the truth, or they'll give you their false theories.
    Everyone has their own motivations, and it's up to you to further yours. Conversely, you're also encouraged to keep your secrets with each other, and lying is always a legal strategy!
    Of course, I'll stick away from grimdark "auuggghghhhghghgh, and then they backstab you haha jumpscare" - as requested by a player there won't be any backstabbing towards the party. But be aware that when main plot tension kicks in, it probably won't dissipate for a long time.

    If you're not okay with anything above, or you want more details, let me know and I'll see if we can reach a consensus, but most of these elements are now locked in and fully ingrained in the campaign. Liking the post or replying in any way that you are okay will be counted as a confirmation.

    I'm sorry for not having worded this all properly before, mostly because I did want to keep the plot a mystery - but I should probably have cleared all this up, just to make sure.

    I'll explain more about any of these details as we get to them, but I'll only reveal backwards, rarely forwards. I also won't confirm any predictions at the moment.

    HELLO GANG, says the completely insane Choco who has casually crawled out of somewhere. IT IS MAJOR UPDATE TIME

    @Jupjami @SAF @WavePearl @122 Generation @ID Zeta

    Once I post, you guys are gonna get a short intermission between chapters (I'm calling these chapters now). During this intermission you're allowed to talk amongst yourselves as a party, run into some NPCs you have any interest in, or monologue a bit about what and how your own characters are doing.

    If you want to cue any major scenes or plot points for your own characters, let me know, and I'll work something out. Mind you, the twelve-post limit is still there, so if you want to run a conversation with only a few other players, I'll see if I can give the remainder something interesting to do in the BG.

    Keep in mind - you still don't have the ability to cast spells. (I promise you, getting your Luminous not too far away). That doesn't mean you can't study them through books or observations and all.

    When everyone's ready to move on, I'll cue the next big story scene. In-universe, it will probably be a few days, less than a week, between this day and the next big one.
