Lumiose City Glitch

    Do you guys remember this annoying saving glitch? You would go into Lumiose City, save and possibly the game would crash, making you unable to save. Were any of you affected by this glitch? Did you manage to solve the problem before the patch was released? What are your thoughts on such a game breaking glitch like this being in the original release for the game?

    I never experienced it since I started playing X after the patch was released. I imagine it would kinda suck tho for people who don't have access to internet and can't update their games. I find it strange tho that GF didn't notice the glitch before releasing it.

    This. It was pretty big so it makes me question how it actually got under their noses. I know a lot of players were affected by this too, and to make a whole patch for it shows it was pretty serious. Crazy.

    I was affected by that glitch and deleted my save file, because i didn't know that they were going to release a patch so I thought that there's nothing I can do to solve it.

    I never did encounter the glitch, fortunately. Thank goodness for patches, eh? If this was prior to the 3DS era, they'd have to more or less make a "revised" version of the game and re-release it to the market, which would make consumers who have the glitchy version of the game upset, I'd imagine.

    Luckily I found out about the glitch through tumblr, so it never affected me. It was rather worrying when I found about it, but I wasn't at Lumiose by that point I don't think.

    Thankfully I never experienced this glitch myself, but I feel so bad for the people that it affected. Game-breaking glitches like this are really unfortunate, and I'm glad it got patched. Still, it sucks for those people who lost tons of progress due to this.

    Thankfully, I have never had this happen to me. I am very, very glad that it's patched up now. It was a rather scary glitch, scarier than Missing No. IMO.

    I never felt this glitch either. I played that game so solidly on release that I never actually saved in Lumiose XD but when I heard about the glitch, I was so relieved I hadn't saved there. I know it's patched now, but even still I avoid saving in Lumiose, just in case.

    I find out about the glitch several days after X and Y were launched, even though I didn't own one yet back then, and I'm glad the troublesome bug is fixed when I bought the game.

    I bought the game, beat the entirety of it, joined another Pokémon forum, then saw a topic about this. I was just like, "Oh. Glad I barely save." So the glitch was up when I played, but I never experienced it.
