It appears that we don't have a Lumiose City thread in our Lumiose City category (Edit: THE LUMIOSE CITY CATEGORY DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE NOOOOO), neat. Anyways, Lumiose City is the largest in-game city so far in Pokémon, with many features such as three Pokémon Centers, a Gogoat transportation service, and many stores where you can get haircuts and other never-before seen Pokémon items. Lumiose City is based off of Paris, as many of you know, and is a great city when the power is working and the save points aren't freezing the game.

Favorite feature in Lumiose City? What did you think of the Lumiose City Gym? Did you get lost easily? Did GF try and put too much into one city? Did you ever ride a Gogoat? Did you make any PR videos? Get a haircut? Knock yourself out, tell me your Lumiose City experience.

There's SO MUCH to do in Lumiose it's tough name just one thing. My favorite is probably to get lost EVERY SINGLE TIME I WANT TO GO SOMEWHERE omg. Seriously though, there's some useful shops and the Looker events also happen in Lumiose, not to mention Lysandre's hideout. The city itself overall was just memorable to me. Even now I still just wander around town talking to random NPCs and almost every time I discover some cool or new I hadn't found before in my 1200+ hours of playing <3

Lumiose City is a main hub in Kalos, so it's expected for it to have many buildings and features there, and it's so big that I enjoyed rollerblading there all the time. And lately I've been enjoying making some Trainer PR Videos, and I like the moment when Shauna showed me when the Lumiose Tower is about to be lighted up, which is a nice sight which makes me like Pokémon gaming all over again.

Honestly, the only reason I go into Lumiose City is changing my hairstyle and going into the center of the city to hatch some eggs. Lumiose City is just too big for my liking. The loading screens take a little too long, and most of the buildings look alike. I get lost pretty easily.

I personally enjoy Lumiose City as it reminds me of the time I went to Paris and found out how overrated Paris is (it's filthy, covered in trash, everyone smokes so breathing is hard, there's so many dodgy people everywhere and there's always people pashing outside your hotel). Lumiose City for me is a symbol of how clean Paris should be to live up to its reputation of world's most romantic city, because the staggering amounts of rubbish took away from the romantic air of Paris.

Honestly I found the whole place a bit too overwhelming. It was a neat concept but in the end the city is just way too huge. I never went back there much after beating the game. One of its major problems I think is the controls. At times they were really awkward when moving around that huge, circular area. Perhaps Game Freak will get better at programming 3D areas in the future so that something like Lumiose can be more well done.
