    Lake Valor's Collaboration Team: RMT
As many of you already know, during the community month in February, some members collaborated to create a team to use for the fun of it, and see how well it did on the ladder. The person to use this team on the ladder was me--generously appointed by my fellow collaborators. Without further ado: here's the team!
    Azelf @ Life Orb
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Nasty Plot
    - Dazzling Gleam
    - Flamethrower
    - Psychic
Suggested by @[member="Noctis"] and @[member="Martsian"]. The idea of Azelf here is to set up and wreck house. Psychic provides STAB, and Flamethrower and Dazzling Gleam are coverage moves. Typically this little guy was either a lead or revenge killer for Rotom-W.
    Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 44 HP / 252 SpA / 212 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Hydro Pump
    - Trick
    - Volt Switch
    - Thunderbolt
Suggested by @[member="Xarn"] and @[member="Noctis"]. Hydro Pump and Thunderbolt were STAB moves that covered the weaknesses of Heatran, Scizor, and Azelf (most being hyper offense fire types or bulky ground types). Trick helped deal with stall games and Chansey, forcing a single move to be used upon the item switch. As for Volt Switch, it provides momentum especially with Scizor's U-Turn.
    Heatran @ Leftovers
    Ability: Flash Fire
    EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
    Calm Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Lava Plume
    - Toxic
    - Taunt
    - Stealth Rock
Suggested by @[member="Gengar's Grin"]: "A specially defensive Stealth Rocks setter that can also act as a pseudo-stallbreaker with a Taunt and Toxic. It's able to absorb the fire attacks sent at Bisharp, and it can hold an Air Balloon if the Ground-type weaknesses are worrisome. It's also able to take a couple hits from the likes of Rotom-W, M-Manetric, and even Lati@s."
    Breloom @ Focus Sash
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Spore
    - Mach Punch
    - Bullet Seed
    - Rock Tomb
Suggested by @[member="Noctis"]. This is a standard set for utility and physical presence that the team would otherwise lack. Spore + Focus Sash is a fantastic combo that works almost every time.
    Sableye @ Sablenite
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
    Bold Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Recover
    - Dark Pulse
    - Calm Mind
Suggested by @[member="Martsian"]: "Completely shuts down fighting types and works well as the defensive wall of our team!" Perfectly said, bud.
    Scizor @ Life Orb
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Bullet Punch
    - Defog
    - Knock Off
    - U-turn
Suggested by @Kouhai: "Knock Off provides more coverage against Ghost and Psychic types that give trouble. The added bonus of whacking off items that Rotom doesn't want to take (i.e. Toxic Orb from Gliscor, Focus Sash from a glass cannon) is also a great help. If Rotom is already finished off, Heatran greatly appreciates a leftover-less wall to eat at its HP faster.
Defog deals with all hazards and screens from the opposing side that got to set up, as well as lowering accuracy to make Hydro Pump from Rotom more daunting.
Bullet Punch is the classic staple for Scizor, matched with the common 252/252/4 spread, though a 24HP / 252 Atk / 232 Spe spread can be used as well for the same level of effectiveness in attacking power, though there's a little added bulk for a slight loss in speed.
U-Turn gives the team momentum, working very well with Azelf and Rotom especially. Bug Bite could be used over U-Turn for a harder hit (also appreciated by the team), though U-Turn is a great element for scouting and switching." i.e. this Scizor provides the glue for the rest of the team!

Without further adieu, rate away, Lake Valor!

Pretty good. It probably has problems with Giratina-O/Fairy core on the OU Suspect Test ladder, but we'll have to reserve judgement on that 'til later.

TTar/Excadrill have a pretty fun time against this team. I'm not a huge fan of the offensive Azelf shenanigans, but considering that's what we built the team around, I suppose we have to make due. I'm moderately surprised we didn't end up with something hyper-offense, but this is fairly balanced, which is kinda cool.

I'd like to have a go at it. Should be fun.

@[member="Northwind's Call"] it does pretty decently on the OU ladder. I think it can be improved upon by:

    • Making Rotom-W bulky (252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Def or something variable) with Sitrus Berry over Choice Scarf. Personally I think it performs better that way.
      Replace Trick with Reflect.

[*]Pushing in some SpA EVs to Heatran. (Taken from HP).
