Make an ability!

Well, some peeps in the shout box. We came with with this Salamander Fakemon. It's an Ice poison type.
And it get a new ability. It's called ToxicIce. It has a 20% chance to either poison or freeze an opponent upon contact.

Attack link - offensive stats rise and fall together.
Defence link - defensive stats rise and fall together.

So basically they tie the physical stats to the special ones. You raise your attack, your special attack raises too. Use Calm Mind/Bulk Up, and all four stats raise by one level. It also applies to stat drops.

 

Cold Blooded: Contact with this Pokémon has a 20% chance to freeze the opponent.

There are abilities for burn, poison, paralyze and technically even sleep on contact. All but freeze. This serves to remedy that situation. Also, freeze and ice types really need a boost, they are pretty undervalued in most cases.

 

I have two ideas.

Big Eater: Certain berry effects are twice as strong. For example, a Salac berry would increase speed by twice as much as normal when eaten.

Nibbler: Berries can be used twice in battle before being consumed. This would be better for healing or status curing berries.

 

Mind Power...or something. It doubles the Special Attack stat. Okay seriously, Huge Power and Pure Power exist. Why not this? :/

 

Since we already have Pixilate, Aerilate and Refrigerate, why not also have Toxicate, Necricate, Ironate, Electricate etc...

 

Disease: Contact with this Pokémon has a 20% chance to give a random status effect ( including confusion)

Drain: Any damaging move that does not absorb HP now absorbs 30% of the damage dealt.

Fog: Upon entering, all Pokémon lose one stage in accuracy. Does not affect flying types or Pokémon with cloud nine.

Disconcerting: All Pokémon who enter while this Pokémon is on the field lose one stage in Spec. Att
(we have ones for attack, but not special attack.)

Idolized: While this Pokémon is out on the battlefield, in battle, this Pokémon heals 1/8 of it's HP every turn, and in double battle all moves are redirected to this Pokémon. (this would be a semi-legendary Pokémon ability, and would be on a steel/??? legendary)

Joker: every time this Pokémon would lower an opponents stats, it lowers double the amount.

 

Mach 5: This Pokémon's attacking moves have their priority increased by 1.
(Basically Prankster but for attacking moves instead of special ones)

Fair Game: Both the user and the opposing Pokémon can only use attacking moves while this Pokémon is in battle.
(This is pretty much a free, never ending taunt applied to both Pokémon)

Gravity Coat: This Pokémon's Special Defense is doubled.
(The Special Defense version of Fur Coat)

Cunning: This Pokémon's special attack increases by one stage if it knocks out the opposing Pokémon.
(The Special attack version of Moxie)

Blizzard Blitz: This Pokémon's speed is doubled with the hail weather condition.
(Since Chlorophyll, Swift Swim, and Sand Rush exist, why not a speed modifier for Pokémon in the snow?)

 

Distortion Room: This ability would make Trick Room active as long as this Pokémon is on the field. Its a pretty interesting concept, especially if I really slow Pokémon had it. Also Sticky Web would work for you with this ability as it would lower the Pokémon's speed.

 

Juggernaut: All entry hazards on your side of the field are removed.

Dictation: All abilities are suppressed while this Pokémon is on the field.

 

In similar fassion to pure/huge power...
Accelerate: Doubles the pokemons speed
Thick hide: Doubles Def
Barrier: Doubles Sp def
Pure mind/ Energy Surge: Doubles Sp Atk.

 

CountDown
The Pokémon will automatically self destruct in 20 turns. After every 5 turns the speed and attack increase while the defense drops. This could be an awsome ability because of the risk factor it gives and the pressure it sets off

 

Belch - a poison attack that's similar to smog. It has a 40% chance in poisoning the rival Pokémon.

It's basically a stinky burp that can knock out lower level Pokémon. :tongue:
