Malie City Subquest: Tile Pattern

A quick but easy to miss subquest in Malie City - a stroll on some beautiful tiles!

To begin this subquest, talk to the old man outside of the Malie Community Center.


He tells you about the stroll he used to take in his younger days. Normally, I'd say take notes. But I already did that for you - and I took pictures!

After the dialogue, step onto the white square directly to the south.


Go south again to the white triangle.


Head west to the black triangle.


Head south to the black circle.


Head east to the white circle.


Head northwest back to the black triangle - avoid stepping on any other symbols on your way.


Head north to the black square.


Head all the way southeast, back to the white circle. Avoid stepping on any other symbols on your way.


Head north to the triangle.


Go north again back to the white square.


Talk to the old man and receive your reward!

 

You could say he repels you from doing it in future playthroughs.
