As per serebii.net: Not much information has been revealed in regards to the LGPE post game so far, but there will apparently be Master Trainers you can challenge who will focus on a specific Pokémon from the original 151, rewarding you with a title upon defeat. What do you think of this? What title will you be on the hunt for?
It couldbe pretty cool, but I feel there needs to be some sort of party limitation to truly deserve the title "Squirtle Master" or what have you
Maybe Scyther master? Scyther was my favorite Pokémon when I played Pokémon Crystal (My first Pokémon game).
To battle trainers that specifically train one of the 151 species (I suppose that includes Mew?) sound really good. But, if you can actively use those you have earned, I think you should have to have the Pokémon you use the title of in your team. I know the game doesn't even have battle spot, but it would feel odd even among friends.
Honestly, my first thought was to be Master of Zubats. People may not like them, but I love the cute little guys.
I wanna be the Vulpix and Psyduck Master! Though, I feel like to really earn that title you should use the Pokémon yourself instead of just defeating an alleged Master of it.
Here's a video from the Pokémon Youtube on Master Trainers! It seems you can't use any items, you use the Pokémon yourself, and the opponent will have unexpected moves.
That's kinda interesting I think, with no items and only one pokémon it all comes down to how good you are and the mon you use.
I can see myself getting all of these - unless I get bored of it, anyway - but at the same time I hope the reward for doing so is more than just a title and bragging rights. Maybe a Mew for getting everything except Mew or something.
If they have unexpected moves, perhaps after beating them they will tutor the move to you Pokémon. Also that metapod clip right at the end. Priceless
It seems like these will prove an actual challenge, definitely my favorite new addition so far. I'm interested to see how it'll play out. And yes... Gotta love the metapod fight xD
We now know how they work, but they left me with the same doubt: will there be master titles for Mew and Meltan? 'Cause you know, Mew is trapped inside that round Pokewalker that costs almost like the full game Aside of that; Will Metapod know iron defense or just harden? Because I want it to know iron defense so the battle is even harder. Those "unexpected" moves they have seem great so far, tho.
