Medical Shows

I only ever watch scrubs and sirens. Everything else just kinda takes itself too seriously. I love a good comedy especially those two since there are a little bit medically accurate

 

I definitely enjoy some medical shows! Even the real case ones which makes it a little more creepy(?) and scary since these are real afflictions with real people.

As for fictional shows, I've watched House M.D. which was pretty cool what with the rapid pacing and tension in the air (because the PATIENT IS GONNA DIE IF THEY DON'T FIGURE IT OUT!!!) however as the seasons kept dragging forward, the episodes I saw kept getting less about medical stuff and more about the drama of the characters which was interesting at some points but this was suppose to be a medical show...

The good side was that they aimed to be as medically correct as possible. I know this because a friend shared that his father - who is a doctor - also watched the show and is able to guess the disease before the show ends which is pretty neat.

 

I've seen some Nightwatch episodes, but that's also a reality show (cameras following NOLA EMS/FD/PD). It's accurate medically (duh lol)
I haven't watched Grey's Anatomy, but I've heard a couple of nurses say they stopped watching because they felt it was inaccurate.

 

I feel that Grey's Anatomy is quite inaccurate at times.

One of my favourite shows, House, is rather great. It s got humor, tension, accuracy abd a great cast. It's really good, and the ending was amazing! xD

 

House MD is my favorite tv of all time, I love it so much oh god. I'm rewatching it atm on Netflix, since all the season's have been listed. I'm embarrassed to admit I haven't really dabbled in any other medical shows, though. I saw a little bit of Grey's Anatomy, but I wasn't particularly interested.

I think I might check out Black Jack though, I had no idea there were medical anime shows omg. How embarrassing.

 

I do enjoy watching medical shows from time to time, but I've never really had the motivation to watch through the whole series. Regardless, shows like House MD was my jam. Absolutely phenomenal. The humor, the cool medical terms, and heartbreaking moments really helped to develop my interest in the health industry.
I've also watched some Korean Medical Dramas and oh my goodness does it get my heart racing.

 

The only med shows I watched on a regular basis, is House MD and Scrubs.
Nowadays it is the UK show, Embarrassing bodies.
that show is full graphic though, so avoid if you are squeamish pls.

 

I've watched Grey's Anatomy for a few weeks (quite literally) and it was very confusing... the entire series seemed to be focusing more on the relationships between people than on the medical life itself, which made me lose interest. I don't think medical series are really accurate though. To me, it feels like it's impossible to capture the "real" hospital life in a series. Then again, I'm not really into the genre and I haven't seen many series, so I could be mistaken.
