So, yeah... I got here through FanFiction. Yep... feel free to laugh at me. :/ So anywho, I'm just asking your opinion on this character I made called Bronze in one of my current fics called The Johto Boys. (The title is very work in progress but now probably set in stone and this fic is still going) Origin of the name is that every other darn element that would make for a good guys name was taken. Physical appearance: (He looks like me) Bronze is a 15-year-old, 6 foot, overweight (not obese since he can still run, jump, walk normally, ect.), male of Mexican descent. He has brown eyes, dark hair, and is hairy (he doesn't have a beard though just stuble and body hair) He's wide, has broad shoulders, and big arms. He wears a Straw Cutter (a style of cowboy hat), a plain white shirt, blue jeans, hiker boots (timberlands), and a pair of black, prescription ray bans. He carries a broken piece of wood he uses as a walking stick/tool/weapon (which has black tape on one side for a comfortable grip and for fixing up cracks in the wood). Bronze also has a thick lasso on the side of his belt. He carries a black backpack, wears a Z-Ring, and has a necklace with the Pokéball (Beast Ball) of his starter Pokémon wrapped around his neck. Personality: (Has a lot of my personality but is extremely, over exaggerated) Bronze is extremely aggressive towards his enemies but is chill around his friends. He also has a slight hat obsession... He goes by the phrase "Don't take dung heap from nobody". This is a phrase his papa has told him all throughout his life (including my papa but without the censorship). He's much better with fists than with words. Most would think he's loco. He fights but for self-defense, protecting his friends and loved one, or just because some jerk ticked him off. He normally fights overly aggressive wild Pokémon to either buy his hurt Pokémon time to escape or if the wild Pokémon attacked him. Bronze, while not fighting a person recently, uses his size and stature to scare off thugs like the grunts from Team Skull. Now you're probably thinking this guy has a death wish but I assure you he's not. He's just more concerned for the well being of others than himself. He's done some pretty stupid stuff in order to help the ones he holds dear to himself. Legend says that hat he wears gives him +5 bravery and +10 stupidity. Bronze is also not exactly arrogant. He never really speaks highly of himself and makes fun of his overweightness. He's competitive with his friends but more of a friendly competitive than anything. This friendly competitiveness goes away if he's battling someone from a criminal organization or a jerk. But when Bronze isn't putting himself in harm's way, he's a nice guy. He'll sit down a talk to ya, pal around with ya, and even pays for the dang meals he has with his amigos. But if your friends with this guy, you know you have someone who will have your back. Bronze will threaten verbally but will act on it too. He ain't spouting no Tauros crud. Abilities: Bronze is extremely strong. He's wrangled Tauros all his life so he built up strength. Bronze also has some pretty good accuracy. He uses his lasso very well and is pretty good at wrangling Tauros. Bronze also has a lot of knowledge about Pokémon since he was deprived of being a trainer for 5 years. His battling style is a little wilder than most. (Like teaching some of his Pokémon boxing moves and using moves like water gun for an extra boost of maneuverability) Friends: Lillie, Hau Enemies: Team Skull, stairs, Gladion Pokémon: BIGJAW (Starter), Night Wing, Luna, White Fang, Bruho Status: Becoming a strong trainer but still has A LOT to learn. Backstory (Or a summary of most of the Prologue): Bronze is the son of a man who owns a Tauros Ranch, A high risk, high reward sort of thing. He's had to get tough to survive in this business and, luckily, has survived. Bronze has just moved to Alola from Johto. He's always dreamed of becoming a Pokémon trainer but, as we all know, having a Spanish mother she'ss shes the boss. Bronze has worked with Tauros all his life but he wanted to raise his own Pokémon and become the strongest in the world. A pretty cliche dream but hey, what else do trainers want. He also wants to a bond with his Pokémon that would last a lifetime. At the age of 15, he was given the chance to be a trainer by his cousin and Professor in Alola, Kukui. However, instead of being given a Pokémon, he caught his own. His first Pokémon was a Totodile but it wasn't anything like Soul Silver's way of giving you a Pokémon. He found it sacred, alone, and hungry. Bronze fed it some berries and show it some compassion, forming a friendship instantly. He then found an object that would set him on his journey. It was an odd looking, blue Pokéball with gold fins on 4 parts of the ball. The Pokéball also resembled a wormhole with its pattern. Bronze did not catch the Pokémon on sight because when the Totodile saw the ball, it got scared and cowered in fear. Bronze wasn't that guy so he just discarded the ball to show the Pokémon he was his friend and was willing to leave it alone. The Pokémon saw Bronze's actions and decided to join Bronze. Bronze dubbed the croc, BIGJAW (most uncreative name, ever) and they went on from their. So yeah, that's Bronze. He's not a finished character yet. He has all his journey to go on and to develop. This was just a summary of the current Bronze. So anywho, if you're interested in Bronze and the fic he stars in then you need to know a few things. The fic contains strong language but not from characters, at least not yet, but from me. My narration style has swearing for either emphasis or just because I feel like it. So, just a heads up. I also never claim that I'm a good writer. I know I'm not a good writer but I've been told that my fic is okay, which shocked me. I try to be humble. If swearing and bad writing is your cup of tea then you must like some pretty weird tea. Anywho, leave questions, suggestions, and whatever else. If you don't like any of this then congratulations, you're a human being! (Have an internet cookie) Adios.
