Have you ever met one of your favorite musicians, or just a well-known musician in general?

I've had the privilege of meeting Chris Allen, the guitarist of Neon Trees (actually went to his house - he lives somewhat close by), Sam Endicott (singer of The Bravery), and all of Motion City Soundtrack. MCS is one of my top favorite bands, so that was super exciting for me.

...I think it doesn't quite count if I began to admire them after I met them, but Adam Page (a solo act) and Dan Savant (Gordon Goodwin Phat Band 4th trumpet) both of whom I met while they were doing workshops and I eventually came to admire their music.

About a year ago from today, I went to a concert with my sister. It wasn't a band I was particularly fond of. I more or less went so she had company. It actually turned out to be quite the night. The band was The Dead Rabbitts, if you're unfamiliar with that band, then you all must know Escape The Fate, yes? Craig Mabbitt is the lead singer of both bands. Thanks to Mabbitt and TJ Bell being attracted to my sister, I got the opportunity to hang out with them. There were a few other "fans" as well. We all hung out in a basement and things got really crazy (but definitely a fun time, and one I will never forget). TJ was quite a guy, as I hung out with him more than everyone else from the band. Craig was in and out a lot. As for TJ... he kept trying to... seduce everyone (yeah, let's be honest, no one was sober). My sister has photo evidence that this whole "hanging out" event in fact happened (although I'm not in any of the shots).

This is the only band I've had any kind of interaction or privilege to hang out with. I'm not the most outgoing individual, but it was definitely a moment that will never leave my mind... I hope.

I didn't really "meet" them, but I spent a lot of time with Eddy Daniels recently and I had a whole lot of fun learning from him.

Ooooh what an exciting topic! I met a few of my favorite music artists once; Crusher-P, Circus-P, and Myst Saphyr. They were all extremely sweet and fun to talk to, and they were euphoric with the poster I had made for them with my friends. (Circus cried!) I love how level they seem with their fans, I really am so happy I can stay in touch with them, and eventually help with their projects now!
