Mega Diancie

I actually have ZERO knowledge on this Pokémon... xD That's embarrassing. Is this Pokémon suppose to be a legend? Why hasn't Diancie been released yet?

 

What really bugs me is that they haven't even released Diancie yet and it already has a mega evolution. I'm really not sure how it is going to go stat wise, since it is meant to be defensive, but it suddenly looks like it's going to be a special attacker. Too much Diancie.

 

Diancie kinda bugs me. It's getting so much hype from Nintendo when honestly all I want to see is a rayquaza mega. GIVE ME A RAYQUAZA MEGA DAMNIT.

... I'm calm now. Seriously though, I hope they don't get trigger happy on the megas now.

 

Don't worry, Rayquaza will get an Ancient Devolution like Kyogre and Groudon.
And yeah, Mega Diancie confirmed, even though regular Diancie hasn't been released yet. And what happened to Hoopa and Volcanion? Guys?

 

Real Talk: You better be right about Rayquaza getting an Ancient Devolution as well. That'd be better than the other two combined.

I'm not really much of a fan of the new Mega Diancie either. I don't like that it wasn't released at all, and for some reason they felt the need to wait and act like this was a big reveal. How am I supposed to get excited about a Mega Evolution for a Pokémon that I've never even seen in game before?
Mega Sableye was a much more exciting reveal, and I knew he was coming.

Recently came across this CoroCoro scan which apparently outlines that Mega Diancie has the ability Magic Bounce. Now if you compare all the other Pokémon that can have this ability you'll see that they are all Sp. Atk users. Theories anyone?

The only reason I was excited that I did manage to get a Diancie was because it's an event Pokémon currently released only in Japan. But other than that I'm pretty meh about it.

 

I still think it's weird that a Pokémon that wasn't even confirmed when the game released got a mega, but I guess we'll never know why.

It has a decent design though.

I think the design is really pretty. it looks like an amazing gown, but I still rather have a new NEW Pokémon and not a new mega evolution ):

 

I really like how pretty the design is, but it's kind of weird that it's a new Pokémon with a mega already. In all honesty, I don't really care for it since it seems kind of irrelevant compared to other megas as well as I feel like it doesn't deserve a mega compared to past Pokémon who need stat boosts.

 

There are other Pokémon that needed a mega more than Diancie did. Not even joking, this just feels... odd.

 

At first when I saw this I was like "No, Diance, stop! Turn down! This is too much for a new legendary Pokémon!" which although I still somewhat hold to that, I quite like Diance and its mega evolution. She's a very pretty Pokémon, that's certain, and the idea of her having a possible connection to Carbink reminds me a lot of the relationship between Arcanine an Growlithe.

Her mega evolution is equally beautiful. But I believe the reason is what made me stop in my tracks at the immediate "what are you doing, Nintendo?". That reason is stats and abiilty, Diance doesn't have great stats or a great ability despite being a legendary. Her having a mega evolution I believe is simply there to make up with the lack of great competitive ability. It also gives her a great build, as she can turn from being bulky and eating up hits to an all out attacker or sweeper with the touch of a button. Imo, I think that's her reason.

Mega mega mutation! Lol that is weird. I don't really care about Dianci, I honestly want them to release something about Volcanion soon though. Hopefully they don't give him and Hoopa megas before theyre even release too. :/

 

Diancie is a very interesting Pokémon in general. However, I wonder where Mega Diancie will be in the competitive side of things. Maybe Ubers? Magic Bounce is a pretty good ability for it to have also.

 

I definitely want to get Diance but I'm not to sure about how I feel about it, I don't know I guess I'll just have to wait until I can get one.
