Mega Evolution Thoughts

    Mega Pokémon are fine, my only complaint is Pokémon who do not need them are getting them. I am so happy Lopunny, Audino, and Pidgeot are getting megas, because they need them. Legendary and already good Pokémon do not need them. Like Mewtwo, Garchomp, et cetera. Leave them for Pokémon that need it, like Lapras.

    At first I didn't like the idea of Mega Evolutions at all, and it was something that at first had me turned off from wanting to get XY at first. But the idea really grew on me after a while, it changed how a lot of Pokémon were used, like Charizard, and even though some of them weren't necessary (i'm looking at you, Mega Garchomp), it wasn't something I hated in the big picture.

    This pretty much. People excepting every Pokémon to get one. Mega evolutions are suppose to be a special thing, if every Pokémon got one they wouldn't be special anymore.

    Having to choose a favorite I will actually have to say Mega Pidgeot, yes I know it haven't been released yet but I really like its design and is the first mega evolution I haven't been all meh about when I first saw it. My least favorite will have to be Mage Diancie, is did not need a mega evolution imo.



    Have to agree, is nice that less used Pokémon get them, but some of the Pokémon didn't really seem to have needed one. Garchomp spring to my mind, is already really powerful, same goes for Mewtwo it was already powerful why make it even more powerful?

    Having Mega Evolutions means even more strategies to be able to counter them. It makes the metagame a bit more difficult at the start(for first timers), and really the designs they make for them are awesome. Mega Evolution brings back old Pokémon and makes them not useless anymore.
