Mega Sableye

I think he is kinda cool, despite not really being what I expected. I hope they keep his ability Prankster, because that's basically everything Sableye is good at.
I do think it's weird how Mega Sableye goes all up in the rubies while originally being a Sapphire exclusive...

I'm wondering if Mega Sableye is going to be a tank. The gem looks like a shield, and since Mega Mawile is a heavy attacker, it's rival (I swear Mawile and Sableye are rivals) will have heavy defense. Only problem with that theory is that the trailer showed attack moves.

 

The design is fantastic! Although seeing it take cover behind its ruby makes me think his mega-evolution will increase its bulk, which could be troublesome with prankster.. xD He's already hard to kill unless you bring a fairy. I can't imagine killing him with added def/sp-def.

I really love the design though.

I love Mega Sableye :wub: its apperance looks cool, its heart gem as a shield and those sparkling red eyes... *-* Dangerous......

Oh, I'm going to love using this! Prankster Sabeleye as a mega will be super fun to battle with. Come on, games, release faster!

 

I think it looks kinda weird but I'm glad they gave Sableye a Mega. I'm definitely going to give it a try when the games are released.

About Mega Sableye's gem colour Astral said before, I think it might be depending on which version of the game you're playing. Maybe if you're playing Sapphire, they will be blue but if you're playing ruby, they will be red like this one?

 

He's so cuteee. And once more, he finally has a purpose in battle! I'm so sticking him on my OR/AS team.

 

I think the giant gemstone shield is a little unexpected. But nonetheless it does look pretty cool.

I wonder if he'll keep his Fairy type weakness...

 

I think he's pretty sweet. His body looks even more creepy and that ruby shield is pretty cool too. (Despite him being a Sapphire exclusive)

What if there's another Mega Sableye in Ruby? And it has a sword made out of gems?


....Nah. That would be cool though.

 

I'm a bit disappointed in its design (could've done SO much more with it), but I like it overall. I just really won't like Prankster Mega Sableye. Has its ability been confirmed yet?

 

I'm really stoked about this Mega evo. I like how they kept his jittery actions and recluse nature. The gem is an interesting design idea although I wouldn't have thought of it myself. Let's just hope they buff him a bit and gets more attention from people. Competitive would be a good place to start.

 

It looks roughly the same in terms of design. Although the giant ruby right in front of it makes it a bit hard to tell... Maybe it's going to have some killer stats or something to make up for it's lackluster design? Otherwise I don't really see a point with this one other than the fanbase wanting it...

 

But think of this: Sableye has no weaknesses (shut up Fairy). Which means no super effective hits. That, combined with a major Defense boost (which seems obvious due to his RubyShield), means you have a Pokémon that is extremely hard to kill.

I heard somewhere the idea of stance change, which sounds decently sensible... it would be cool to see another person be able to use the ability, although teaching it king's shield might be an issue...

 

I don't think it would have stance change. It was showing Mega Sableye attack and it wasn't changing it's form in the trailer. I get this feeling that Multiscale would be cool, especially if it was a massive defense boost.

 

It's exciting as it always will be can't wait! ^^
