Mega Slowbro & Mega Audino

Will Mega Slowbro even be able to walk? lol

 

Audino looks like a angel. It's so cute and innocent looking. It's apparently going to be super bulky as well. Ahh!

 

Why slowbro? Why not slowking, the final evolution? That just seems stupid to me.

 

(I think by the way he'll move around is by either balancing on the tail or spinning like a little spin-top or something.)

Mega Audino is beautiful.
Mega Slowbro looks interesting, to say the least.

 

I think they should calm down on the Mega Evolutions now. They're just throwing them around like there's no tomorrow. Remember: A Mega Evolution is supposed to be an improvement on its original form, something that makes it better in every way. That's not what came to my mind when I saw Mega Slowbro. I can't imagine Slowbro being happy with this either, I mean, they took away all his mobility. And, while I understand the reason why they made Mega Audino, it doesn't look all that great or special to me, and doesn't make me want to use one either...

I only wanted a Mega Milotic, but you know what? Nevermind...

 

I think that, if they would've wait a little longer with these Mega Evolutions, they could've made them way better. I mean, it's not as if these are terrible, but they have a lot of missed potential. For example, Mega Slowbro. Sure, when I think of Mega Slowbro, the first thing I think of is "something cool must happen with that Shellder/tail". But with something cool, I didn't exactly mean this.
I also have a different issue with Mega Audino. They made it a Normal/Fairy type, which we already have (either Clefairy or Jigglypuff, I don't know which one). And it's design doesn't change too much either, it only gains some more details. A Mega Evolution, at least in my opinion, should have some significant changes from its normal form. Look at Mega Blastoise, he gained a massive cannon. Look at Mega Sableye, he got a huge gemstone. Look at Mega Audino, it got... Nothing special, really...

These Mega Evolutions would be great fanart, but actual real Mega's? No thank you...

 

While I do agree about the Mega Slowbro part, I'm not quite getting the argument about the Mega Audino. I don't see why Normal/Fairy is so bad, I mean we got Jigglypuff, but that's a completely different Pokémon from Audino. It's not like they got the same moves and stats or anything. Design-wise, yeah I agree the design change isn't too significant.

Personally, I'm glad they're making more mega evolutions, especially the ones who used to be bad competitively, such as Mawile and now Audino. Just like you said, I hope they don't go overboard, but I just really like the idea of making older Pokémon more viable for competitive battling, cuz honestly I don't care much about the looks lol, I just really care about how well they'd do in battle. Of course, that's just me, I'm not much of a picky guy when it comes to Pokémon design. I get your point about them not looking cooler though.

 

Hmm. I heard a rumour that these were fake. I'll not cast my opinion until we get some confirmation on these new Megas. (I think by now it's safe to assume that almost every Pokémon is destined to get a Mega evolution sooner or later)

Two Pokemon. Two Pokemon that would normally have the great ability in Regenerator. These Pokemon are Audino and Slowbro. Remember how Scizor kept Technician upon Mega Evolving? Well, when we see the mega's for Audino and Slowbro... THEY GET HEALER AND SHELL AMOUR INSTEAD. TROLLFREAK, YOU SUCK!

On a more serious note, I don't think Mega Slowbro is even going to be better than the original form, which is defeating the point of Mega Pokémon.

 

I personally really like the mega audino, both design wise and just idea wise. Audino currently is not getting much/any play competitively and if they give it the right stats could be a very effective bulky support Pokémon in doubles.
Slowbro on the other hand...what were they thinking. The design is ridiculous and they took away his ability (which imo is the only thing keeping him in UU) and replaced it with something that only helps to cancel hax. I guess it makes the calm mind variant more viable, but I still think that it will get outclassed by most other megas. We haven't seen it's stats yet and I guess they could make it an unstoppable wall, but with just the information I'm seeing slowbro's mega is very underwhelming to me.

As for the number of megas they are making, I think it's fine that they are giving a lot of Pokémon mega evolutions, as long as they make them somewhat equally powerful. From what I've seen, both of these look as if they will be outclassed by other megas that they are introducing and already exist.

 

Definitely didn't expect these two, I'm not disappointed though.
Slowbro looks somewhat cute in his shell but I do wish he had legs..it's like they made him into a bug or an alien or something; not a mammal.

 

It just goes to show. If Shellder can mega evolve, then Scyther can, too.

In all seriousness, I'm not bothered by them. I'm disappointed by Slowbro and I HOPE that these are fake, but if they're real I'll just ignore them.

What I want is more permanent evolutions. Expand on an existing line, don't just keep redesigning the same Pokémon.

 

Oh my lord I really hope they don't stop making real evolutions. It seems like they have since Gen 5 though /: Megas are cool and all but I didn't want them to completely replace new evolutions..

 

Am I the only person who wants to see mega kecleon? To me that mega has so much potential.

 

Look at Mega Venusaur, some leaves grew from its tree. Mega Charizard Y, its wings got shredded. Mega Kangaskhan, its baby grew up. Mega Aerodactyl, it grew spikes. Mega Gardevoir, it got a poofier dress. Mega Loppuny, it got a shave and its hair got braided. Simple designs do exist in this world. You just got to deal with it. Also I have a feeling that these two will be very annoying.
