Memorable Compliments

Well... I think it's memorable to have any compliment in general. Considering that I don't think too highly of myself, it's really nice to get a compliment of any sort. Nothing really stand out to me in particular because other people are awesome

 

I actually fully agree with this. I rarely get compliments at all, so when I get one, it's extra special, making it also a lot more memorable. A compliment is really a way for me to know that I'm doing something right, and that at least one other person acknowledges that. When someone compliments me with something, it makes me realize "this is something I'm doing good, so don't change it." So yes, every compliment means something special to me, which is probably for the most part because of the rarity of them.

If I'm working hard at the workplace, or just in general, I always appreciate it when people say I'm doing a good job, and I can tell by the tone if they're legit or not. I don't have any specific memorable compliments that I recall. Any genuine compliment tossed my way is always appreciated, as long as the other person isn't saying it "just to be nice". I like legitimacy.

 

A girl yelled out "you're gorgeous!" to me once and I haven't forgot that haha. A bunch of people told me that I am really friendly and caring too, which makes me feel good.

 

Being the kid that drew a lot in school meant that I'd get quite a few offhand compliments, so their value kind of diminished. When it comes to myself, I've had a fair amount of joke compliments thrown my way so I can't really take them seriously. The 'Hey you're pretty... As a dog!' kind of things that annoying kids shout >:|
Not to suggest I don't appreciate compliments, 'cause I definitely do when I know they're genuine. It's just that I'm so used to them not being genuine that I tend to forget them ;v;
