What most people would call a "song" isn't exactly a song.

A song seems to actually have singing or is intended to have singing. Therefore, a lot of different pieces of music don't actually classify as songs.

Did you know this? Do you call things that aren't songs, songs?

Well, considering things that bands and orchestras play that aren't meant to be sung are called compositions or just music, this isn't too much of a shock to me. There's a "WTF?" factor, but once you jump that short hurdle it makes sense.

I agree with Gengar's Grin. there is a point that we avoid to give sense to the music that we are hearing. Maybe you can call something a song, but you are listening to a Remix or onl electronic stuff...Do you still consider that as a song? The definition of Song is different for each person. Some persons just call the things "Music".

It doesn't matter to me. A word is a word depending on how you perceive it. Just because the dictionary says something about singing doesn't mean that it requires words. A song can be a song if the instruments sing their lovely tunes.
