Have you ever been mislead by a game title? Or are there just any games that you feel have misleading titles in general?

For me its Hotel Dusk Room 215. Tell me that doesn't sound like the name of a horror game. I hate horror games so when I saw that title come up I was like "haha I'm never playing that." Turns out its actually a visual novel/detective game and I absolutely love games like that. I played the game for two days straight because the story really pulled me in with all the characters and clever writing. Its now one of my favorite games.

My friend likes to play Petz: Catz 2 on their Wii from time to time because it was a childhood game for them, but when I saw the title and boxart I had just assumed it was another virtual pet game. When I watched them play through from beginning to end, though, I discovered that it's actually a standard adventure game similar to The Dog Island, though the DS version of Catz 2 actually is a pet simulator. I'm not sure why that is...

Pokémon Alpha Sapphire didn't warn me about the water.

When I first heard of the "Mother" series, I honestly thought It was a game about taking care of ones mother.

When I heard it has "Earthbound." i thought It was a space exploration game.

Hmm, The World Ends With You was a good one. I honestly thought before I played that it was going to be something like you were playing a game where you were the antagonist... Nope, it was ten times better.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates of Infinity... The first half of the title mislead me into thinking it was a good game.

For some time as a kid, I didn't play Donkey Kong Country because I thought that it would be a game of nothing but apes and plain country (as in wilderness country) and nothing else, so I held off playing it for quite a while. Then one day, I saw a friend playing it and I was in awe of how much different (and awesome) the game was than what I originally thought it would be. Today, I can proudly say it's on my Top 5 favorite platformers of all-time.

Final fantasy. Aren't the almost two the twentieth one? How is it the final one, if there's that many? There was a serious one that i was thinking of, but now i can't think of it. I'll edit this when i remember.

Puzzle and Dragons. (when i first heard of it.) Even though it included Dragons, I thought it was going to be as hard as Candy Crush where you could not move anywhere you wanted to and I hate Puzzle games. When I tired the game out however, I found out it was 10 times better than Candy Crush. XD Best Puzzle game ever made!

As much as I love the Dragon Age series, the title is kind of misleading. The title makes one think, "Oh, I'm going to be doing mostly dragon-related things in this game!" When in reality, you are not. While the final boss in the first game is a dragon, thats the only dragon part of the same. In other games, you don't even have to fight dragons.

Me and the video game Tales of Destiny 2 have a long history. The title "Tales of Destiny 2" in North America was entirely misleading.

I passed by the games a couple of times around the years, and I always thought it was a sequel to Tales of Destiny, so I never bought it. A couple years later, I was looking at the series's wiki, and found out that Tales of Eternia in NA was called Tales of Destiny 2.
    But Why?
Apparently He-Man had the name "Eternia" copyrighted, and Tales of Destiny 2 was not released in NA. So they named the game Tales of Destiny 2 in NA.
I eventually bought a European version of the game to save me the confusion. I have not played the original Tales of Destiny 2, although I have plans to in the future.

I'm going to say Final Fantasy. It's hard to believe that there are that many of them, considering how many of them are Final. I know that they can't change the title now, but it looks like they are stuck with it.

Can I say No More Heroes? While it's title does make sense (Travis being an assassin and an anti hero, killing other assassins, showing this game's lack of actual good people) the title kinda makes you think there are no more heroes left and the plot might involve a city trying to survive without them or something. Idk.

The Legend of Zelda, ultimately. There's always that one guy who thinks that Zelda is the protagonist in all the games.
