This thread is pretty simple. Just post here about Pokémon you think are in the wrong tiers, whether using Smogon or PO tiers, and why you think they shouldn't be there.

I will start this off just by saying that Jolteon and Virizion SHOULD NOT be RU.....like at all. Jolteon has crazy high damage output and outspeeds everything in the tier other than Scarfed Pokémon or Accelgor. It also has no 100% counter since what Hidden Power it uses depends on what even has a hope of slowing it down. Virizion, while not as fast or straight up offensively threatening as Jolteon, has very solid coverage allowing it to run a physical, special, or mixed attacking set. It also has access to very useful boosting moves depending on which set it uses (Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Work Up). To top it off it has a pretty respectable bulk and even when uninvested is still capable of taking multiple resisted hits before going down. The duo also form a pretty effective offensive core together making them that much more threatening.

Thoughts on these or any other Pokémon you think are misplaced?

Jolteon and Virizion is sadly dropped due to low usage... don't get me wrong, they're respectable Pokémon in their own right.

Jolteon is most likely outclassed by other electric types in UU such as Mega Ampharos, RotomH and Raikou, and would be uncomfortable in a tier where nidoking/queen, scarf mienshao, scarf flygon run rampant with fast earthquakes/earth powers.

Virizion is in the same boat, facing team slot competition against roserade, shaymin, celebi, trevenant, and even a fellow ru mon, amoonguss. On the fighting-type side, you see lucario, mienshao, and mega heracross, which hit harder or faster(via scarf or priority).

@topic, another Pokémon i see that's mistiered most likely by low usage is Cresselia. Even though it's potential taunt bait, Cresselia is a goddamn pain to kill with 120/120/130 defenses and with support options such as dual screens, toxic stall, paralysis support, sub calm mind,and/or lunar dance, it will leave your opponent annoyed.

I will admit that Jolteon is outclassed by several other UU Electric types but the sad thing is it literally only has 3 counter in all of RU...Gastrodon, Rhyperior, and Gligar. The first two are ran through with HP Grass while the latter is taken care of by HP Ice so more or less there is absolutely nothing that can really slow it down in RU outside of Amoongus who doesn't like taking Hyper Voice or HP Ice itself.

As for Virizion is is even more outclassed than Jolteon since there are better Pokémon with both of its typings though it does still hold a very valuable niche that makes it pretty dominante in RU. It is a very solid wall breaker, is able to eat up Sleep Powder/Spore/Leech Seed, and is even able to tank so pretty powerful special attacks.

I will have to fully agree with you that Cress needs to be in a higher tier just because of it's sheer amount of bulk. Toxic, Taunt, and strong Dark/Ghost/Bug attacks are literally the only way you even have a chance to get around it.

I have been playing a bit on PO as of late since I downloaded the app for it on my phone and I found out that Terrakion, Staraptor, Crawdaunt, and Magnezone are all in the UU tier there.......what the hell were they thinking? >.<

I don't think Smeragle should be OU. I feel it's able to use all 3 hazards + Spore to help it put something to sleep. But, smeragle has to be like the biggest taunt bait in the OU tier. Since 9/10 it never runs any kind of attacking moves.

I agree with you Ddog that Smeargle really is nothing but Taunt bait. The only issue is that it can pass any boosting move as well as lay hazards making it rather game breaking in the lower tiers (Rampardos + Shell Smash boost = GG). There are a few other Pokémon who can pass big boosts like this in the lower tiers, with pretty much all of them having more bulk than Smeargle, but they aren't able to be as versatile as Smeargle since it can learn nearly any move, hence why it is in OU.

In all fairness though I did run into one offensive Smeargle the other day which completely blind sided me -_- Sash + Endeavor + ExtremeSpeed = a dead Mamoswine

If you ask me, Musharna is Mistiered and VERY BADLY so!

Running it with Trick Room, reflect, Calm Mind, and Dazzling Gleam has allowed me to completely annihilate Teams because no one suspects it! Not to mention, running it with a Calm nature and maxing out EVs in Special Attack and HP make it one monster of a tank. Seriously, the only real threat are Bug Types and those are (sadly) not used very often. (Scizor is the exception tho)

Will agree with you that Musharna can be a very threatening Pokémon...reminds me a lot of a set one of my battling buddies from last Gen used a lot ultilizing Stored Power. Was kinda funny when I saw it on his OU team until he almost swept me with it just because I didn't know what in the he'll it was going to do >.>

I will say another Pokémon I think is mistiered is indeed one of my favorite Pokémon in 6th Gen, Gourgeist. It is currently NU, which I still don't understand, and generally looked at as useless by most battlers even though I have made several teams with it that are very effective. Now I'm not saying it should be OU BUT it can function extremely well in the tier since it is able to completely shut down Excadrill, Landorus-T (lacking Knock Off), and even Garchomp. Even if it was just bumped up to RU I would be appreciative since it is a good Pokémon that is simply overlooked.
