Moe's White nuzlocke!

Welp. I finally reset my White version, and decided to nuzlocke it. This is the first game I've played on the actual DS, and not a ROM, so hopefully I'll have the patience to actually finish it, with minimal deaths. (fast forward feature on the ROMs..it was nice)

Official nuzlocke rules:
-If a Pokémon faints, it's dead.
-Only catch the first Pokémon you encounter, in each new area.
(unspoken rule: different segments of the same area count as new areas, such as outer/inner Pinwheel forest and safari zones)

Added rules:
-If you cannot progress through the game without the use of a certain HM, you are allowed to catch a Pokémon that can learn it. Only if absolutely none of your team can, though.
-No duplicates. If the first Pokémon you encounter is one you already have, you have one more chance to find a different one.
-No Legendaries, and if you encounter a shiny and it's not the first Pokémon, too bad!
-Two (pairs of) Pokémon may be bred only one, or one pair, twice.
-Tutorial doesn't count. The official challenge begins, after Route 1.
-Nickname all Pokémon.

No deaths or near-deaths, yet. Still training for the first gym. My nuzlockes are usually pretty boring, but hoping I'll have the patience for a comic, later on.


Slight edit, so I don't keep double-posting, every update.


Amber barely survived the first gym, at just 4HP. Decided I better do some more training, before moving on to the next area. Grabbed a Purrloin, while grinding Matty. Nacrene gym was also a close counter, getting both Matty and Amber in the yellow. Grabbed a super lucky catch in the outer Pinwheel area, with a Sawk in the rustling grass. Missed a chance at a Sewaddle in the inner Pinwheel, however, as Matty KILLED IT. (it's okay, bb. I still love you.)

I feel more training is needed, before moving on to the next gym. So I suppose I'll be grinding, the next couple days. Might take some time to whip out a quick comic, too.

 

Day 2 of the nuzlocke. I'm kind of speeding through the game, unfortunately. Was hoping it'd take a bit longer, but oh well. Guess I just have a bad habit of doing that. Ran through some gyms, grinded my 'mons, caught some new partners, grinded some more, beat some more gyms. Amber is starting to become one of the weaker members of the team, as I have not found a Fire Stone to evolve her. That was my bad though, since I'm kind of running through, not getting items or talking to people. So I'll have to go back and grab one, somewhere. I'm also taking a huge risk, in not evolving Matty, simply because I prefer Dewott over Samurott.

Almost lost my Sawsbuck in Chargestone, because I was derp and forgot Archen was part flying type. He escaped with 2HP though, so yay. I also have not yet found a flying type, so that's slightly annoying, but I'll manage. I'll most likely do some switching around, before I take on Skyla. Sleipnir is the most logical choice, but there's some 'mons stuck in my PC, that I'd like to get a chance to use. I shall do some grinding, and hope for the best!

I will most likely be taking out Jordock(odile!), Candy, and Simon, but I'm not quite sure who I want to swap out, yet. I still want to train them, though, so I can swap for whatever gym or route I might need them, on. Also, Robby and Sleipnir are total bros and Matilda and Amber ride them into battle, like badasses.

After defeating Iris and making my way to the League, with no deaths and a handful of new 'mons, I have become bored with this Nuzlocke. Nothing exciting ever happens, in my runs. :c
