Moonlit Brew (A different kind of werewolf comic)

Moonlit Brew is about a man named Samuel Craig (Sam for short) and his friend (who is not pictured) Simon Stuart, both of whom are trying to get into college to pursue their dreams as a businessman and a comedian, respectively. However, a woman by the name of Lydia catches Sam's attention, and not long after they first meet, both he and Simon notice that Lydia is hiding a secret, but little did they know, it was a secret neither of them ever thought existed.

Along the way, the trio start up a coffee shop that will not only test their talents (Sam's wits and growing financial power, Simon's funny way of luring customers, and Lydia's masterful use of filmmaking and obvious wolf-like abilities), but also their resolve as all the while they survive going up against not only the big business that wants to eliminate their competition, but also a secret syndicate that wants to eliminate people like Lydia and "purify" the world.


This has been a webcomic I've been wanting to make for years since 2008, but it was in development hell for a while until now. A good friend of mine is in charge of the art of the comic while I am in charge of the story and characters. Hopefully when we reach 5 pages, we will start up a website and set up some social media accounts as well. I hope everyone will love reading this comic as I have been enjoying writing the script for it!

Think more along the lines of Spice and Wolf with a bunch of nods to various werewolf media stuff, but it will be mostly a comedic/romantic action-adventure comic, as weird as that sounds; granted there's some tense moments, but not enough to make it a horror comic.

 

XDDD Well, her entrance isn't that dramatic, but you might like later in the first chapter when Sam and Simon find out her secret.

 

Page one is on the link on the first post, but I will update the thread on when new pages are available, and eventually when we make the website, because we believe that the reader should have plenty of content when they see the site, hence why we are waiting til we get to the 5th page. Thanks; it'll be a while til page 3 starts cuz the artist is gonna be taking a trip to Mexico, and then when she comes back she will start taking commissions for a bit.

Sorry that progress has been slow in regards to the comic; the artist is going to be busy at her job since the Halloween season is coming up.

To say that I'm not frustrated about the slow progress would be a total lie, to say the least. :/ If I mention anything else about how my other project is coming along, I would start to rant, and I know you guys would not want me to do that. >>
